5. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
If the computer stops working Try another computer and if that doesn’t work
try another till you find one that works
If the internet fails Wait for the internet to be fixed, until then try
write drafts to prepare your work
If I fail to meet my deadline Ask your tutor if you could receive extra time
for that particular piece of work
If my time management doesn’t work Ask people for advice/your tutor how to
manage it better
Your ill/absent for your class Try do it at home if your not to ill, try to catch
up when your feeling better
If you need to catch up, but you don’t have a
working computer
Ask your tutor if you can have more time, come
into college on your day off and catch up then
6. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Back pain It will be avoided by standing up every now and
again to keep the stress of your back
Leg cramp It will be avoided, a lot like the back pain by
standing up frequently and by doing the odd
stretch now and again
Wires around the floor Be careful around the wires try and avoid and
step over them or move them out of the way so
they aren’t in the way
Drinks around the computers Don’t have drinks next to the computers, have
them beneath so that if they do spill they won’t
harm the computer
Eye strain Take frequent breaks from the computer, don’t
spend too long looking at it, maximum an hour
Wrist strain Try not to keep your wrist in the same place for
a period of time as your wrist will go stiff and
you won’t be able to use it for a couple of hours
