Problems Associated With Pretrial Publicity
Discuss and describe the problems associated with pretrial publicity and what solutions have been
implemented to combat this problem. Pretrial publicity is inevitable when dealing with well–known
high–profile cases. However, this publicity makes jury selection much harder than it already is. It is
harder to find potential jurors whom have not already seen or heard of the case and formed an
opinion about the guilty party. These jurors also have the added stress of being judged by friends
and family as well as their community as a whole. The hardest part of pretrial publicity is the case
being spoken of on television for everyone to see. Many jurors will have seen the information on
television and make assumptions; these jurors will then be

Problems Associated With Pediatric Clinics
Problem Statement Patients have been missing appointments or have canceled required follow–up
testing which was ordered by providers. These appointments are either canceled or no show within
24hrs before scheduled time. Missed appointments are a cost to the health care system in terms of
personnel time, extended waiting lists, and the loss of potentially beneficial services. In the past
quarter, we have seen a decline in No Show Rate. The 10% of the patients did not show up out of
the 160 weekly spaces available. A total of 16 missed appointments per week at $120 per visit which
equals $1,920 in lost revenue in a week which equals $23,040 in the past 3 months. Which means
patients failed to receive a recommended care, and the appointment slots were wasted. Generally,
no–show rates range from 5%–55% (1). Pediatric clinics might see a no–show rate of below 5%,
urban family clinics often see no–show rates between 10%–20% (2). And certain outpatient and
surgical clinics–colonoscopies, endoscopies, pulmonary tests and other procedures that require
special prep or diets by the patient– have even higher rates, around 50% (2,3). In 2010 study shows
specifically at heart failure patients has high no–show rates (4). A little survey to determine the
reasons of no show in the John Adams hospitals were conducted last week. Total 356 patients
missed appointments were invited to complete the survey of the reasons why. The 276 were returned

Problems Associated With Pipe Breaks
The problems associated with pipe breaks are economic, reduce reliability and reduce water quality.
The cost of replacing or repairing a pipe can be split into capital costs (supplying and laying the new
pipe), maintenance costs (repairing and preventing failure in the system), operating costs (electricity
and filtering costs) and damage costs (property damage, inconvenience, loss of amenity, health risks
and environmental costs). (Dandy & Engelhardt, 2001) All of these costs can be difficult to
accurately predict, which may be necessary when consulting with management about whether or not
to replace a pipe. Pipe bursts in commercial areas and along main roads also have higher failure
costs as the interruption the failure will have on the traffic and potential 3rd party damage will be
greater. A rational decision needs to be made into at what point it is more cost effective to replace
the pipe than letting water run out of the cracks. The cost of a repair = crew+ equipment+ sleeve +
repaving + overhead costs. Figure 2– Cost breakdown of repairing pipes (in US dollars) While the
above figure gives a rough estimate of what each portion of the repair will cost, the variables were
calculated in 1982 in America, and protocols may have changed since then, or be different in New
Zealand than it was in America at the time of the study. However, this was the only literature
available that considered breaking down the cost of repair. Figure 3– Repair and Replacement Costs

Problems Associated With Global Co Operation
It is widely recognised that the planet is facing serious environmental encounters that can only be
addressed through global co–operation. The international legal developments related to the
protection of environment took place in the second half of 19th century which was due to political
and intellectual movement in west . Because they are unique so that is why they are and they should
be treated in a unique manner "sui generis". Due the fragmentation of environment the accumulation
brings out an intensification of uncertainty that tenders environmental laws truly sui generis in
nature and this uniqueness is inherent, this hereditary unique prevalence requires unique attention
too. "International environmental law" the term is still ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The environmental threats include the consequences of polluting activities and other impacts of
environmental degradation, such as toxic emissions and waste. Harms can come about a
consequence of complex interaction and from cumulative sources. The environment as an indefinite
and extremely elastic concept will obscure politics, as new indication, performers, threats and
opportunities are introduced into an already highly complicated policy domain.
The specificities of International law got quite less response to the global environmental issues, and
more focused on international human rights, sea boundaries and international trade etc. The building
blocks of environmental laws are to be found through a study of tort, nuisance and negligence,
contract law through agreed environmental standards, property law, criminal law and planning law,
judicial review and recently the human rights. Most of the issues are interlinked just requires a depth
of observation, same is for the case of environmental laws which are linked with all of the other
international issues such as trade and human rights. It is worth that international environmental law
is more or less the application of public and private international law to environmental problems.

Problems Associated With The Researcher
concerns (Todres, 2007). Todres (2007) and McCormick (2010) suggest the researcher can remedy
this by staying in connection with his or her own 'felt sense'. On the other hand, words can work
between the researcher and the participant in a shared way. Just as words are a bodily experience for
the participant, they are for the researcher as well. When words work for the participant, they also
work for the researcher not only in deepening the researcher's understanding, but in becoming aware
of the 'lived sense' of his or her situation (Todres, 2007). In embodied inquiry, the researcher's task
is to be open to the process in him or herself in which the words do not just make logical sense, but
which 'open up the possibility of seeing something together' (Todres, 2007, p. 39), a sense the
researcher understands in an embodied way. Embodied understanding does not mean that the
researcher has the same experience, but it means that the words show the researcher 'something
more that involves a bodily sense of being present to the whole situation' (Todres, 2007, p. 39).
Another dimension of inter–embodied understanding is that it seems to help the participant's
ongoing ability to bring his or her sense to language. New meanings can be experienced as 'making
sense' by the participant and the researcher. There are possibly new meanings to be expressed from a
situation and the process of sense–making allows these new meanings to appear. According to

The Problems Associated With Hegemonic Masculinity Essay
THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH HEGEMONIC MASCULINITY IN SOCIETY
Introduction
The discourse of hegemonic masculinity was recently explored to understand the power of men in
society (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005). For centuries, men have taken a dominant gender role in
society. This has resulted in the oppression of women and the subordination of men who do not
confine to the 'masculine' norms (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005). This essay explores the
discourse of hegemonic masculinity by explaining how it is reflected throughout society, and how it
is connected to femininity and other masculinities. The aim is to criticise hegemonic masculinity by
explaining the negative pressure it puts on both women and men.
Masculinity & Hegemony
To understand the concrete basis of 'hegemonic masculinity' more easily, the terms 'hegemonic' and
'masculinity' will be deconstructed. 'Hegemonic' represents what is dominant and most powerful in a
societal or political context (Merriman–Webster, n.d.). 'Masculinity' is a socially constructed term
that represents behaviour that is socially acceptable for men (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005;
Lynch, 2009). Therefore, 'hegemonic masculinity' refers to a set of norms and practices that are
deemed as the dominant norm for men (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005; Lynch, 2009). Although
the term is tied with men, hegemonic masculinity is not tied to the biological form of men.
Alternatively, it is a gendered performance which means that its associated

Problems Associated With Hepatitis C
Introduction:
Indigenous peoples in Canada (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) are recognized as having a
significantly increased hepatitis C disease burden in comparison to non–Indigenous Canadians
(Uhanova, Tate, Tataryn, & Minuk, 2013). Due to over–representation in many groups considered
high–risk for hepatitis C transmission, such as those living in unstable housing or engaging in
injection drug use, Indigenous peoples living in urban settings are particularly affected (Miller et al.,
2010). Recent studies have shown that comprehensive research on the risk factors associated with
hepatitis C acquisition in urban Indigenous populations is lacking (Uhanova et al., 2013; Plitt et al.,
2011). Furthermore, available evidence suggests that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

To meet these objectives, peer–reviewed databases were searched using the SFU Library Fast
Search function. The following search terms were utilized: ("Indigenous" OR "Aboriginal" OR
"First Nations" OR "Métis" OR "Inuit") AND ("hepatitis C") AND ("urban") AND ("risk factor").
After the initial serch, all articles published prior to 2008 were excluded, yielding 1,890 results.
Upon reviewing the most relevant abstracts, five articles were deemed to be the most focused on
hepatitis C risk factors in urban Indigenous populations and included in this review.
This review will draw out and summarize key themes and findings from those five studies. Next,
potential gaps in the research related to hepatitis C risk factors for this population will be examined.
It will will then conclude with a brief discussion of future directions for research, as well as the
implications of these risk factors on hepatitis C policy and interventions for urban Indigenous
populations.

Problems Associated With Alcohol Addiction Essay
Dave (39) and Liz (33) have decided to seek social work services due to problems Liz is battling
with alcohol addiction and the negative impacts this is having on their home life. Dave and Liz have
been married for three years and live in a home with Dave's three children from his previous
marriage (Jenna 18; Joshua, 15; Jerome, 8). Prior to meeting Dave, Liz had problems with drugs and
alcohol but was sober for five years before relapsing six months ago. Dave likes to have a few beers
on the weekends and smokes marijuana occasionally when his children are not home. The children's
biological mother was killed in a car accident six years ago and Dave has little social support from
other family members. Liz has never been married before nor does she have any children of her
own. Liz has had problems with drugs and alcohol in the past but she went through treatment five
years ago and successfully stayed clean up until she relapsed six months ago. Liz began working at
a restaurant several weeks before her relapse. There are a few servers at the restaurant who would
stay after closing to hang out and drink alcohol. Wanting to fit in and make friends with her co–
workers, Liz decided to stick around and join them one evening after her shift. Liz believed that
because she had been clean for 5 years at the time, she would have no problem having a few
alcoholic drinks. When she came home that night, Dave was concerned with her behavior because

Benefits And Problems Associated With Globalization
This purpose of this paper is to provide a guideline for discussion of the benefits and problems
associated with globalization. The following points will show that the idea of globalization is both
positive and negative, while providing five examples of specific net gain and net problems. The
following paper will briefly discuss each issue, provide a short summary to provide context, give a
mechanism that could assist with managing the issue, as well as identifying how each can help with
the implementation of managing the resource.
I. The Net Gains of Globalization
1) Issue: Globalization has a positive effect on the environment through the active regu–lation of the
entire timber trade process.
a) Summary: When companies are regulated in the amount of timber that is ex–ported, this can help
to limit the amount of deforestation.
b) Mechanism: One agency best able to assist in the management of this policy would be CITES
(Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flo–ra and Fauna).
c) Implementation: This agency is has been able to help in protection of timber re–sources by
including legal documentation; this allows regulation of timber all levels of the trade. With
increasing acceptance of the need to place the international timber trade in a legal framework,
CITES is an important component of regulating the legal supply of timber. (Oldfield, S. F., 2013).

Problems Associated with Teen Pregnancy
There are about 860,000 teens who become pregnant each year and about 425,000 give birth.
(Lawton 22). Even though in recent years there has been an unexplained decline in unwanted
pregnancies it continues to be a problem among teenagers. Even with a decline the CDC says that
the teen birth rate in the United States is still nine times higher than other developed countries.
Although many teens do not plan on becoming pregnant, it does happen, and there are consequences
that come with teen pregnancy. Limited resources, some may have parent or guardian support and
some may not, as well as a drastic lifestyle change compared to other teens.

"Research shows that many teen mothers do not complete their high school diploma causing future
hardship." (Berne 22). "According to statistics, more than 80 % of unmarried teen mothers survive
on welfare most of their lives." (Hughes 22). Although there are government programs that offer
help they can never cover every expense involved in the care of a child. A teen mother must have
daycare if she continues to go to school or has a job. Daycare can be very expensive and the teen
mother may be limited to a government funded daycare. Also, with a limited income transportation
becomes a problem, making it hard to maintain a job, go to school or get the baby to doctor's
appointments. Unfortunately, children of teen mothers, have a greater chance of ending up on
welfare or even jail continuing the cycle of poverty. Furthermore some teens may have parent or
guardian support and some may not. Teenagers need help in understanding his or her feelings, peer
pressure and how to say no in matters regarding sex. (Teen Pregnancy 1). If a teen decides to
become sexually active they need to know how to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted
diseases. (Immell 9). Parents have a strong impact on whether a teenager makes healthy choices for
themselves. Often teens are pressured into situations and they are afraid to talk to their parents.

Problems Associated With Water Pollution
Problems with Pollution Have you ever wondered what it would be like to not have access to a toilet
or any form of proper sanitation. That is what is like for many residents in Accra, Ghana as they lack
a proper restroom in their homes. Without proper waste removal, waste is piled up around the city in
the waterways, gutters, and any other site unlucky enough to become a community dump site. We
seek to solve this problem by informing people about the problem and providing money to
organizations such as the Safe–water project. Water pollution is one of the biggest problems
affecting the world today. It is on the top of the lists of the government agenda around the world as
environmental concerns are on everyone's minds. It is even more of a concern in undeveloped
countries where they lack the infrastructure needed to provide clean water for their citizens. It is
then up to outside help to help provide the necessities for these people.
What exactly is the cause of Accra's problem with pollution? A big cause is the migration of people
from northern Ghana into the city, where they settle down in slums like Sodom and Gomorrah. The
city of Accra cannot handle the growing population and need to do something to control it. Which
they are starting to try by reaching out to the community leaders in Sodom and Gomorrah and
working with them to create better sanitation conditions. Who exactly is affected by this problem?
For one the people are of course affected by the problems

Problems Associated With A Nationwide Shortage Of Nurses
With a nationwide shortage of nurses, nursing care is becoming a limited health resource. Short
staffing is a critical concern because many studies link staffing levels to safe client care.
Unfortunately, some facilities continue to staff nursing units with fewer registered nurses and more
unlicensed caregivers. When this occurs, nurses become concerned that staffing in their institutions
is not adequate to ensure client safety, much less to allow them to provide the level of care that they
value. California is the only state that has enacted legislation mandating specific nurse–to–patient
ratios in hospitals and other healthcare settings (Alexander, 2015). This is not the simple solution
that it seems. Some organizations are forced to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The proportion of nurses to non–nurses working in locations that provide direct nursing care has
decreased in recent years. Some of these reductions are due to hospitals cutting nursing staff and
replacing them with unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP's) as a measure to contain costs. Another
factor is the increasing demand for nurses to work in new roles, such as leaving bedside nursing for
case management roles as another way to contain costs. As a result in these reductions, some nurses
feel that they can no longer provide quality health care, experience disillusionment, and end up
leaving the profession. Many newly qualified nurses begin their careers with strong ideals and
standards but after just two years of working, many became discouraged and disillusioned
(Patterson, 2011). Better staffing levels could alleviate stress and allow nurses to practice with the
standard of care they should, preventing burnout and job dissatisfaction. With a growing body of
evidence to support the idea that low staffing levels increase patient mortality and adverse events, it
is important to look at what ideal staffing is. The Victoria levels are used in the state of California
and in Victoria, Australia to set standard ratios of nurse to patients. In California, the ratio has been
set at 1:5 for medical and surgical wards, with an eventual aim of 1:4 for both public and private
hospitals (Patterson, 2011). In Victoria, the ratio is the same, but only for public

Social Problems Associated With Racial Discrimination
Introduction:
I: People from different backgrounds around the world are being targeted and discriminated by
individuals of other races solely because they are different racially and culturally.
Body Paragraphs:
II: Basic Information on the Issue
A: According to Encyclopedia Britannica, race is determined by physical and personality traits,
intellect, morality, and culture ("Racism"). Racial discrimination is discriminating someone based
on their race or religion ("Racism/Color Discrimination") or prejudice against an individual or group
of people of a different race because of the belief that one's own race is superior ("Racism").
B: Problems associated with racism range from social problems to financial problems. Social
problems include alcohol or drug use/abuse and emotional withdrawal. Some emotional problems
include depression, feeling isolated, feelings of guilt and blaming oneself. Body aches, headaches,
and stress problems are some physical problems ("Impacts and Consequences"). Racial
discrimination can also cause people to quit jobs or school, lose concentration, and have a negative
impact on grades and important records. Finally, people can also suffer financially, such as
decreases in academic/job opportunities, loss of jobs, incomes, and/or benefits ("Impacts and
Consequences"). III: Impact of the Issue on the World
A: Racism is a constantly growing global issue that has no permanent solution. People from
different races all across the world are affected

Problems Associated With Inventory Management
Complexities in Inventory Management
Due to the increasing globalization of markets, the level of competition has increased considerably;
thus, leading to increased inventory management complexity. Indeed, complexity has several
negative consequences including high operation costs, time delay, customer dissatisfaction,
inventory shortage, excess inventory, lack of collaboration, cooperation, and integration among
supply chain participants (Hudnurkar, Jakhar and Rathod). A supply chain comprises of several
business partners who work together either directly or indirectly. The interaction between these
parties is characterized by the flow of information, material, and finances. These flows may lead to
complexity if there is a lack of information within the participants. Notably, inventory management
complexity is closely related supply chain management costs. An increase in complexity is known
to result in higher supply chain costs. As such, this paper evaluates some of the causes of inventory
management s complexity and their possible remedies. Evidently, increased complexity leads to
high operational costs, which need to be reduced through effective collaboration among the supply
chain partners (Hudnurkar, Jakhar and Rathod). The sources of these complexities occur from either
internal or external drivers or both. Therefore, understanding and measuring these complexities is
becoming increasingly important from the managerial side of an organization (Ramaekers and

Problems Associated With Quality Education
The most surprising thing that occurred during the interview process actually happened before the
interview itself. It took us quite a long time to decide who will be our target on solving problems in
connection with quality education. Initially, we planned on interviewing high school students for
this project; however, it became a challenge because we realized that we could not interview them
during regular school hours. Therefore, we interviewed students from San Francisco community
college, with the purpose of knowing some challenges that they came across when they were still in
high school. Furthermore, we wanted to know what sort of problems that they are currently dealing
with in college and what they wish could have been different if they were more prepared for it.
We divided our team into two groups and went to two different locations. One team went to
cafeteria while the other team went to the library. The interviewed went really well, because most of
the students were excited to share their past experienced. They were willingly shared their
experience and their "gain and pains" as they studied in college and their experienced in High
school. What did not go well was that there were several students that we interviewed did not fit the
criteria because they did not graduate high school in America. As we did not know their background
before, some times it was too late for us to realize that we were wasting our time on interviewing
wrong person.

Problems Associated With Nursing Education
Introduction In recent years, adequate clinical experience and education has become an issue in the
field of nursing. As technology advances, new strategies and concepts emerge, changing the
structure of nursing education. These changes have ultimately led to the concern of many nurses
feeling underprepared for the real world of nursing. While there are multiple factors that may
contribute to nurses feeling underprepared in the real world of nursing, the main and most common
factor is insufficient and inadequate clinical preparation directly related to the insufficient amount of
clinical hours and lack of exposure to and placement in varied clinical settings. Along with the
concern dissatisfaction and distress in nurses, according to Johanson (2013), the concern of patient
safety has become increasingly important as more nurses reveal inadequate clinical training. Issues
Facing Clinical Nursing Education The profession of nursing is one that requires extreme care,
caution, and compassion. It requires complete concentration and a certain amount of confidence in
knowledge and skill that has been taught. Unfortunately, recently the attention on clinical skills and
exposure to different areas of nursing has been pushed aside to make room for theoretical principals
of nursing. Because the focus of education has shifted to include more class time on theory rather
than skills in clinical setting, nurses are expressing their concern of being underprepared for real–

Problems Associated With Water Resources
Water is a basic necessity in our daily lives. Over 50% of our bodies are made up of water, so in
order to be a healthy human being we should be consuming about 2 liters of water a day. This is
easy to do for some people, especially those who live in more developed countries such as the
United States of America. This can't be said for developing countries, such as Algeria. Considering
that the Sahara Desert covers most of Algeria, it is one of the countries that are water–scarce. The
water sector in Algeria is very unreliable particularly due to its geography and climate change.
These impacts are causing problems for future water resources. Water resources are one of Algeria's
most current issues and dealing with the decrease in renewable water resources. This is problematic
because the declining water resources means Algerians lack access to safe, clean drinking water,
which can lead to diseases if people are consuming contaminated water. Also with limited/declining
water resources there are issues with hunger and sanitation. There isn't enough water for agriculture
and the production of crops. It's important to address the issue of water scarcity and implement
solutions that will better the supply of water. Algeria's renewable water resources in the 1980's were
estimated to be about 16.5 billion m3 a year on average, but since then Algeria's numbers have
decreased 25% per year (Hamiche 2014). In 2012 Algeria's water availability dropped below the
scarcity threshold

Not too long ago, in 1984, it appeared as if the rate of population increase was decreasing
everywhere except near or in Africa and some parts of southern Asia. Today, the complication
appears less promising because progress created toward decreasing birth rates has been slower than

increasing by around two hundred fifty thousand people every single day. It is guessed that one

but it was not always the case. In the year 1800 only 5% of the global population was urbanized

England for example the urban population jumped from 17% in 1801 to 72% in 1891 (Watson,

The Problems Associated with Underage Drinking Essay
Curiosity to appear more grown up may be the reason why most adolescents take their first drink of
an alcoholic beverage. The ability to seen more grown up can intensify drinking at a younger age.
Consequently, as alcohol is seen as the "Forbidden Fruit," it encourages the want to drink for people
under the age of twenty–one. The use of alcohol by adolescents is widely viewed as disobedience in
American society. Although, alcohol use is technically illegal until the age of twenty–one (in 19
states the consumption of alcohol in not specifically illegal for people under the age of twenty–one),
there is still an excessive use of dinking in teenagers today. Since alcohol is associated with all three

When you start drinking, it's kind of a mystery, something you can't do." ("Alcohol Abuse and
Youth" 1) Parents who continue to be highly involved with their children, their kids are less likely to
drink. Parental interaction with at–risk teens is far more effective in keeping young people away
from alcoholic beverages. As proof, teens who eat dinner with their whole family twice a week or
less are sixty–five percent more likely to have tried alcohol than those who have family dinner five
or more nights a week. However, harsh punishments given out by parents for drinking usually
results in rebellious behavior and a lack of communication between adolescents and parents.
Avoiding over–reactions when a teens drinking is discovered helps to lessen the teen's rebellious
behavior while keeping communication open. (Update: Alcohol Issues 6) Although using alcohol

Problems Associated With The Financial Crisis
Credit Bubble The end of 2007 confirmed the conventional view that the initial financial problems
were concentrated in institutions exposed to mortgage securitization. But how it is that financial
imbalances were transmitted into macroeconomic disruptions? What mainly channeled the crisis to
other sectors was the resulting contraction in credit, of banks and other financial intermediaries. It is
important to differentiate between the loss of financial actors associated with mortgages, which was
the initially crisis, and the losses caused by the after effects, also called second–round effects, which
had significant consequences on the supply of credit. It will be analyzed in detailed above, how the
problems associated with the housing bubble resulted in the contraction of credit supply by financial
institutions. Modern financial intermediaries assess risk through certain practices. They manage
their balance sheets (assets and liabilities position) steadily in response to changes in the anticipated
risk and asset prices. Fluctuations in asset prices are variations in net worth that cause reactions of
intermediaries. Furthermore, fluctuations in the valuation of risk assets translate into reactions from
leveraged institutions. Financial intermediaries react very differently to fluctuations in wealth
compared with the reaction of individuals, families or non–financial institutions. Families tend to
not change much their balances even when they experience changes in asset prices.

Nursing Problems Associated With Nurses
Nurses are a peculiar group of people in a profession that has several different fields and has roles
for different job specialties. There are so many specialties that nurses can choose from. The men and

each patient's health. Nurses collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers and other
members of the health care team in order to prevent disease, illness, injury, alleviate pain and
suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. Nurses also have the pleasure of

The shortage of nurses has put the patient as well as nurses at an increased risk for injury. There are
several causes for nursing shortages. Shortages are caused by sudden population growth resulting in
a growing need for health care services. There are also, a declining amount of new students in
nursing. According to American Association of Critical–Care Nurses (AACN), nursing schools in
the United States turned away almost 80,000 applicants in 2012 due to insufficient number of
faculty, clinical sites, and classroom space. AACN (2014) Baby boomers are getting older.

intimidating them. Lastly, facilities mistreat staff by not having the enough staff to cover units,
offering poor working conditions, lack of support from supervisors, and unfair treatment causing
nurses to go back to school to receive a higher degree in order to find a more cushioned job. Some
registered nurses are now moving from performing nurse functions at the bedside to management,
business, teaching, or other positions where they can use their knowledge and skills as registered

tourists that visit Dubai has increased by 80 percent in the last five years. Endless skyscrapers,
restaurants, and malls everywhere in addition to man–made islands that are home to many
individuals. One must keep in mind that this city is amid a desert and the water supply cannot meet

country in a recent global analysis due to its high reliance on desalinated water and air conditioning.
This status came to be primarily from the "high force push development" time period which was
during the 2008–2014 period. The "high force push development period" refers to the period where
development plans were being implemented to a point where both economical as well as
environmental resources were strenuously used to keep on track of the issued development plan.
And as a result this period accounts for most of the negative environmental impacts associated with
the region. To put in simple terms the High Force Push Development Period is responsible for
almost 75 percent of the adverse environmental impact of the region. The whole situation can be
looked upon in the form of a constant cycle. The usage of air–conditioning can increase by almost
two fold in the summer when the temperature is more than 40 degrees Celsius outside. Building
artificial islands seems to be a center point of Dubai's tourism plan but these islands does take its

Explain Problems Associated With Impression Evidence
Problems associated with impression evidence Impression evidence can be defined as objects or
materials that have retained the characteristics of other objects through direct contact. Impressions
are created when one object is pressed against another material with enough force to leave an
impression of the object. Different types of impression evidence can consist of shoe prints, tool
marks, tyre tracks, bike mark, marks on a used bullet. Impressions are found on many different
types of materials, the quality of the impression depends on the object making the impression and
the surface which it consists on. For example, how hard or soft the surface is and what type of
material it is eg Mud, dust concrete grass skin etc. There are many different

population leading to overpopulation, such as an increase in hunger, a loss of land, and a loss of
resources received from the land. I will discuss when the problem began and the history of how fast
the world's population has multiplied from the lack of contraception assistance due to cost or
availability, consequently, resulting in the overpopulation problem. Additionally, I will discuss who
and what are affected by the overpopulation problem. Furthermore, I will purpose a correction to the
previously discussed problems as a solution. I will argue that population growth will be reduced

23–24). Now put yourself in this room, close quarters and hungry. You see a rat over in the corner.
Would you fight for it? You probably said no, but that is because you are not starving, and no one is
inside of your personal space for now. The world's overpopulation crisis will lead to an apocalyptic
end with conflict over land and food.
The problem originated from the beginning of time. When God said, "Be fruitful, and multiply..."
(Genesis 1:28, The New King James Version). Multiply the world has. The United States Census
Bureau (2017) reported the following, "The world population increased from 3 billion in 1959 to 6
billion by 1999, a doubling that occurred over 40 years" (International Programs: World Population
Growth Rates: 1950–2050 section). If the world's growth rate doubles again over the next 40 years,
the outcome will be catastrophic, bringing the population total to twelve billion people on the planet
by 2039. However, the Census Bureau anticipates a slowing of the "growth rate" with only a 50
percent increase over 45 years (International Programs: World Population Growth Rates: 1950–2050
section). Even with the Bureau's anticipated data on the decrease of the growth rate, it is not being
accomplished fast enough. Gioietta Kuo (2012) article, "MegaCrisis? Overpopulation Is the
Problem", reports there are over a billion people with no access to food, clean water, or sanitation
(p. 23–24). Furthermore, the number of people without these

I know that arranging the capital will be big issue, however I have already started searching for

employee working at McDonalds strived in providing 100% customer satisfaction for every
customer in every visit. This included friendly service, along with accuracy of an order taking and
anticipants of customer's demand. Therefore, training is the key to success of McDonalds' in India. I
am also concerned about the training of the new employees, for employees should be properly
trained to run an effective business. According to the McDonald's Indian website, McDonalds'
corporation have a training consultant who trains and monitors newly hired employees at cost of
franchisees in India. Additionally, optional courses for training are offered to franchisees and
employees for an additional fee. Following are the cost and expenses associated with buying and

Problems Associated With Due Diligence
Due diligence happens by not understanding the law or by taking what the client says at "face
value." Other times, it is straight out fraud! As a tax preparer, I need to give due diligence more
diligence. Doing this, will protect my clients, build their trust, and possibly receive more referrals.
Equally important, it will protect me from getting in trouble with the law (IRS). Penalties can be
avoided by following due diligence. Plus, it is the ethical thing to do. With that being said, the due
diligence issues presented in this scenario and the steps to comply with due diligence are as follows:
The first thing came to mind was to verify Charlie's age and filing status. For his age, I would ask to

If so, then information such as legal documents regarding the separation would be needed. This is
because he might fall under a different filing status and may also meet the requirements as head of
household. Also, things such as alimony paid or received and child support could be a factor in
preparing his income tax. Plus, this could help in determining who can claim the children as an
exemption and receive the child tax credit and earned income tax credit.
In addition to the inquiries above, I would need to help him figure out if the children meet the
requirements as a qualifying child. The test includes verification of the children's age, residency, and
relationship. In some cases, where the child is older, the joint return test would be required too, but
the latter does not seem to apply in this scenario. However, for clarification of the children's age and
to comply with due diligence, I would ask for their social security cards. Furthermore, to ensure his
confidence in me, I would help him understand that these are the IRS requirements and that I am
here to assist him in properly filing his taxes.
Now, as we determine if the relationship and residency tests are met, I must (1) explain to him what
relationships are acceptable as a qualifying child, which are most relatives except cousins, and (2)
verify that he provided his residency for the children for over half of the year. This can be
substantiated by him providing (1) receipts of

Problems Associated With Urban Noise Pollution
Introduction
Urban noise pollution is causing increased health risks in the population. This is due both to the fact
that noise levels, particularly those associated with transport, have increased dramatically since the
mid–twentieth century and that a higher percentage of the world population is now concentrated in
urban systems. This problem has also increased economic costs due to failing health and reduced
productivity of the population, affecting between 0.2% and 2% of gross domestic product in the US.
In the European Union, the costs range between $13 billion and $38 billion per year. In addition,
traffic noise causes the depreciation of properties exposed to high noise levels.
Studies on urban noise are becoming more numerous, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a starting point, vehicles were classified into the following categories: motorcycles, cars
(including cars, trucks, small delivery vans and microbuses), buses, mini–buses (small buses) and
trucks (over 3 tons). Subsequently, we conducted measurements of single noise on the streets of the
city (n = 533 vehicles), seeking to exclude the impact of other vehicles and other sources of noise.
To this end, we used an integrated Extech type II sound level meter (SLM) to evaluate the
instantaneous sound level (Li,1sec) during the approach and passage of each vehicle in front of the
SLM on roads with 1 and 2 lanes. These measurements followed conventional techniques and were
conducted using a tripod and a windscreen at a height of 1.2 m at a distance of 1 m from the road
with A and slow weights. In parallel, we gauged the pace at which every vehicle was voyaging
utilizing manual Bushnell supplies. In all cases, the predominating conditions included level, dry
streets, wind speeds short of what 4 km/h and a low frequency of other clamor sources.
For each type of vehicle, we conducted a regression analysis between the maximum noise level
(when passing in front of the SLM) and speed. Because this yielded low coefficients of
determination, we implemented classification trees to dissociate subgroups depending on the speed
of vehicles. Subsequently, we averaged all noise levels recorded in each subgroup at time zero

Problems Associated With Stress And Anxiety
Being able to cope with stress and anxiety are vital to an athlete who has to perform in high pressure
situations. Having the ability to control these feelings of nervousness and apprehension are vital for
peak performance. Sport performers must be able to manage stress in a wide range of environmental
demands and psychological responses throughout the course of experience in their sport of desire
and their performance.
Some performers are able to manage the variety of causes and consequences of stress but others
struggle with this issue, resulting in severe impairment to their performance and health. Stress is
associated with external and internal stressors along with 3 stress response domains (autonomic,
somatic, and cognitive). Stress can be managed though physical relaxation, imagery, and goal
setting.
These specific types of stress management approaches are applied for athletes to help cope and
handle anxiety when preforming at a high level of their desired sport.
External stress comes in multiple forms, management of those stressors comes from removing the
external cues, cope with those external cues, or develop new responses for stress cues. Putting too
much attention and focus into a stress cue can cause it to linger but removal of the external cues will
help reduce stress. Some athletes develop tension and anxiety by seeing their competitor
performance. By not allowing observation of the opponent to occur, it is one way to delay the onset
of anxiety to set (Suinn,

Problems Associated With The Building And Construction...
Despite various construction acts, regulations, standards, codes, licensing regimes, other
management approaches such as quality management, risk management, defect management
building are still handed with defects. It is evident from Queensland Building and Construction
Commission (2015a) annual report that in 2014/15 alone received 4,793 complaints about defective
work. There are many other defects that are seen to occur during the construction process, which
gets rectified before the practical completion and does not appear on QBCC top ten lists
(Sommerville & McCosh 2006). It is this phenomenon that led to the investigation that is described
in this study. In developed countries such as Australia, subcontractors do most of the on–site work.
According to Pratt (2011) in residential projects almost 80% of work is performed by subcontractors
and often most of the on–site work is carried out by the sub trades leaving the main builders as the
co–ordinator of various sub–trades. However despite subcontractor or trade contractor being the
specialists in the specific area, there are yet many problems associated with subcontractors. 1.2

also involves taking a trade–based approach towards the investigation. To assist in completing this

Problems Associated With Quality Education
1. The most surprising thing that occurred during the interview process actually happened before the
interview it self.
One team went to the
cafeteria while the other team went to the library.

Problems Associated With Pretrial Publicity

  • 1. Problems Associated With Pretrial Publicity Discuss and describe the problems associated with pretrial publicity and what solutions have been implemented to combat this problem. Pretrial publicity is inevitable when dealing with well–known high–profile cases. However, this publicity makes jury selection much harder than it already is. It is harder to find potential jurors whom have not already seen or heard of the case and formed an opinion about the guilty party. These jurors also have the added stress of being judged by friends and family as well as their community as a whole. The hardest part of pretrial publicity is the case being spoken of on television for everyone to see. Many jurors will have seen the information on television and make assumptions; these jurors will then be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Problems Associated With Pediatric Clinics Problem Statement Patients have been missing appointments or have canceled required follow–up testing which was ordered by providers. These appointments are either canceled or no show within 24hrs before scheduled time. Missed appointments are a cost to the health care system in terms of personnel time, extended waiting lists, and the loss of potentially beneficial services. In the past quarter, we have seen a decline in No Show Rate. The 10% of the patients did not show up out of the 160 weekly spaces available. A total of 16 missed appointments per week at $120 per visit which equals $1,920 in lost revenue in a week which equals $23,040 in the past 3 months. Which means patients failed to receive a recommended care, and the appointment slots were wasted. Generally, no–show rates range from 5%–55% (1). Pediatric clinics might see a no–show rate of below 5%, urban family clinics often see no–show rates between 10%–20% (2). And certain outpatient and surgical clinics–colonoscopies, endoscopies, pulmonary tests and other procedures that require special prep or diets by the patient– have even higher rates, around 50% (2,3). In 2010 study shows specifically at heart failure patients has high no–show rates (4). A little survey to determine the reasons of no show in the John Adams hospitals were conducted last week. Total 356 patients missed appointments were invited to complete the survey of the reasons why. The 276 were returned out of the surveys were mailed, by phone, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Problems Associated With Pipe Breaks The problems associated with pipe breaks are economic, reduce reliability and reduce water quality. The cost of replacing or repairing a pipe can be split into capital costs (supplying and laying the new pipe), maintenance costs (repairing and preventing failure in the system), operating costs (electricity and filtering costs) and damage costs (property damage, inconvenience, loss of amenity, health risks and environmental costs). (Dandy & Engelhardt, 2001) All of these costs can be difficult to accurately predict, which may be necessary when consulting with management about whether or not to replace a pipe. Pipe bursts in commercial areas and along main roads also have higher failure costs as the interruption the failure will have on the traffic and potential 3rd party damage will be greater. A rational decision needs to be made into at what point it is more cost effective to replace the pipe than letting water run out of the cracks. The cost of a repair = crew+ equipment+ sleeve + repaving + overhead costs. Figure 2– Cost breakdown of repairing pipes (in US dollars) While the above figure gives a rough estimate of what each portion of the repair will cost, the variables were calculated in 1982 in America, and protocols may have changed since then, or be different in New Zealand than it was in America at the time of the study. However, this was the only literature available that considered breaking down the cost of repair. Figure 3– Repair and Replacement Costs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Problems Associated With Global Co Operation It is widely recognised that the planet is facing serious environmental encounters that can only be addressed through global co–operation. The international legal developments related to the protection of environment took place in the second half of 19th century which was due to political and intellectual movement in west . Because they are unique so that is why they are and they should be treated in a unique manner "sui generis". Due the fragmentation of environment the accumulation brings out an intensification of uncertainty that tenders environmental laws truly sui generis in nature and this uniqueness is inherent, this hereditary unique prevalence requires unique attention too. "International environmental law" the term is still ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The environmental threats include the consequences of polluting activities and other impacts of environmental degradation, such as toxic emissions and waste. Harms can come about a consequence of complex interaction and from cumulative sources. The environment as an indefinite and extremely elastic concept will obscure politics, as new indication, performers, threats and opportunities are introduced into an already highly complicated policy domain. The specificities of International law got quite less response to the global environmental issues, and more focused on international human rights, sea boundaries and international trade etc. The building blocks of environmental laws are to be found through a study of tort, nuisance and negligence, contract law through agreed environmental standards, property law, criminal law and planning law, judicial review and recently the human rights. Most of the issues are interlinked just requires a depth of observation, same is for the case of environmental laws which are linked with all of the other international issues such as trade and human rights. It is worth that international environmental law is more or less the application of public and private international law to environmental problems. • 5. Problems Associated With The Researcher concerns (Todres, 2007). Todres (2007) and McCormick (2010) suggest the researcher can remedy this by staying in connection with his or her own 'felt sense'. On the other hand, words can work between the researcher and the participant in a shared way. Just as words are a bodily experience for the participant, they are for the researcher as well. When words work for the participant, they also work for the researcher not only in deepening the researcher's understanding, but in becoming aware of the 'lived sense' of his or her situation (Todres, 2007). In embodied inquiry, the researcher's task is to be open to the process in him or herself in which the words do not just make logical sense, but which 'open up the possibility of seeing something together' (Todres, 2007, p. 39), a sense the researcher understands in an embodied way. Embodied understanding does not mean that the researcher has the same experience, but it means that the words show the researcher 'something more that involves a bodily sense of being present to the whole situation' (Todres, 2007, p. 39). Another dimension of inter–embodied understanding is that it seems to help the participant's ongoing ability to bring his or her sense to language. New meanings can be experienced as 'making sense' by the participant and the researcher. There are possibly new meanings to be expressed from a situation and the process of sense–making allows these new meanings to appear. According to Todres (2007), languaging ... • 6. The Problems Associated With Hegemonic Masculinity Essay THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH HEGEMONIC MASCULINITY IN SOCIETY Introduction The discourse of hegemonic masculinity was recently explored to understand the power of men in society (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005). For centuries, men have taken a dominant gender role in society. This has resulted in the oppression of women and the subordination of men who do not confine to the 'masculine' norms (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005). This essay explores the discourse of hegemonic masculinity by explaining how it is reflected throughout society, and how it is connected to femininity and other masculinities. The aim is to criticise hegemonic masculinity by explaining the negative pressure it puts on both women and men. Masculinity & Hegemony To understand the concrete basis of 'hegemonic masculinity' more easily, the terms 'hegemonic' and 'masculinity' will be deconstructed. 'Hegemonic' represents what is dominant and most powerful in a societal or political context (Merriman–Webster, n.d.). 'Masculinity' is a socially constructed term that represents behaviour that is socially acceptable for men (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005; Lynch, 2009). Therefore, 'hegemonic masculinity' refers to a set of norms and practices that are deemed as the dominant norm for men (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005; Lynch, 2009). Although the term is tied with men, hegemonic masculinity is not tied to the biological form of men. Alternatively, it is a gendered performance which means that its associated ... • 7. Problems Associated With Hepatitis C Introduction: Indigenous peoples in Canada (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) are recognized as having a significantly increased hepatitis C disease burden in comparison to non–Indigenous Canadians (Uhanova, Tate, Tataryn, & Minuk, 2013). Due to over–representation in many groups considered high–risk for hepatitis C transmission, such as those living in unstable housing or engaging in injection drug use, Indigenous peoples living in urban settings are particularly affected (Miller et al., 2010). Recent studies have shown that comprehensive research on the risk factors associated with hepatitis C acquisition in urban Indigenous populations is lacking (Uhanova et al., 2013; Plitt et al., 2011). Furthermore, available evidence suggests that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Second, it will assist in identifying the most salient hepatitis C risk factors for inclusion in a survey to be administered to a sample of urban Indigenous persons living with hepatitis C. To meet these objectives, peer–reviewed databases were searched using the SFU Library Fast Search function. The following search terms were utilized: ("Indigenous" OR "Aboriginal" OR "First Nations" OR "Métis" OR "Inuit") AND ("hepatitis C") AND ("urban") AND ("risk factor"). After the initial serch, all articles published prior to 2008 were excluded, yielding 1,890 results. Upon reviewing the most relevant abstracts, five articles were deemed to be the most focused on hepatitis C risk factors in urban Indigenous populations and included in this review. This review will draw out and summarize key themes and findings from those five studies. Next, potential gaps in the research related to hepatitis C risk factors for this population will be examined. It will will then conclude with a brief discussion of future directions for research, as well as the implications of these risk factors on hepatitis C policy and interventions for urban Indigenous populations. Risk factors for hepatitis C in at–risk urban First Nations peoples Injection drug use An overarching theme that emerged from the literature was the intersection of Indigeneity, hepatitis C and injection drug use (Craib et al., 2009). • 8. Problems Associated With Alcohol Addiction Essay Dave (39) and Liz (33) have decided to seek social work services due to problems Liz is battling with alcohol addiction and the negative impacts this is having on their home life. Dave and Liz have been married for three years and live in a home with Dave's three children from his previous marriage (Jenna 18; Joshua, 15; Jerome, 8). Prior to meeting Dave, Liz had problems with drugs and alcohol but was sober for five years before relapsing six months ago. Dave likes to have a few beers on the weekends and smokes marijuana occasionally when his children are not home. The children's biological mother was killed in a car accident six years ago and Dave has little social support from other family members. Liz has never been married before nor does she have any children of her own. Liz has had problems with drugs and alcohol in the past but she went through treatment five years ago and successfully stayed clean up until she relapsed six months ago. Liz began working at a restaurant several weeks before her relapse. There are a few servers at the restaurant who would stay after closing to hang out and drink alcohol. Wanting to fit in and make friends with her co– workers, Liz decided to stick around and join them one evening after her shift. Liz believed that because she had been clean for 5 years at the time, she would have no problem having a few alcoholic drinks. When she came home that night, Dave was concerned with her behavior because he was aware of her problem ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Benefits And Problems Associated With Globalization This purpose of this paper is to provide a guideline for discussion of the benefits and problems associated with globalization. The following points will show that the idea of globalization is both positive and negative, while providing five examples of specific net gain and net problems. The following paper will briefly discuss each issue, provide a short summary to provide context, give a mechanism that could assist with managing the issue, as well as identifying how each can help with the implementation of managing the resource. I. The Net Gains of Globalization 1) Issue: Globalization has a positive effect on the environment through the active regu–lation of the entire timber trade process. a) Summary: When companies are regulated in the amount of timber that is ex–ported, this can help to limit the amount of deforestation. b) Mechanism: One agency best able to assist in the management of this policy would be CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flo–ra and Fauna). c) Implementation: This agency is has been able to help in protection of timber re–sources by including legal documentation; this allows regulation of timber all levels of the trade. With increasing acceptance of the need to place the international timber trade in a legal framework, CITES is an important component of regulating the legal supply of timber. (Oldfield, S. F., 2013). • 10. Problems Associated With Teen Pregnancy Patience Griffin Mrs. Davis Senior English Problems Associated with Teen Pregnancy There are about 860,000 teens who become pregnant each year and about 425,000 give birth. (Lawton 22). Even though in recent years there has been an unexplained decline in unwanted pregnancies it continues to be a problem among teenagers. Even with a decline the CDC says that the teen birth rate in the United States is still nine times higher than other developed countries. Although many teens do not plan on becoming pregnant, it does happen, and there are consequences that come with teen pregnancy. Limited resources, some may have parent or guardian support and some may not, as well as a drastic lifestyle change compared to other teens. In the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Research shows that many teen mothers do not complete their high school diploma causing future hardship." (Berne 22). "According to statistics, more than 80 % of unmarried teen mothers survive on welfare most of their lives." (Hughes 22). Although there are government programs that offer help they can never cover every expense involved in the care of a child. A teen mother must have daycare if she continues to go to school or has a job. Daycare can be very expensive and the teen mother may be limited to a government funded daycare. Also, with a limited income transportation becomes a problem, making it hard to maintain a job, go to school or get the baby to doctor's appointments. Unfortunately, children of teen mothers, have a greater chance of ending up on welfare or even jail continuing the cycle of poverty. Furthermore some teens may have parent or guardian support and some may not. Teenagers need help in understanding his or her feelings, peer pressure and how to say no in matters regarding sex. (Teen Pregnancy 1). If a teen decides to become sexually active they need to know how to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. (Immell 9). Parents have a strong impact on whether a teenager makes healthy choices for themselves. Often teens are pressured into situations and they are afraid to talk to their parents. • 11. Problems Associated With Water Pollution Problems with Pollution Have you ever wondered what it would be like to not have access to a toilet or any form of proper sanitation. That is what is like for many residents in Accra, Ghana as they lack a proper restroom in their homes. Without proper waste removal, waste is piled up around the city in the waterways, gutters, and any other site unlucky enough to become a community dump site. We seek to solve this problem by informing people about the problem and providing money to organizations such as the Safe–water project. Water pollution is one of the biggest problems affecting the world today. It is on the top of the lists of the government agenda around the world as environmental concerns are on everyone's minds. It is even more of a concern in undeveloped countries where they lack the infrastructure needed to provide clean water for their citizens. It is then up to outside help to help provide the necessities for these people. What exactly is the cause of Accra's problem with pollution? A big cause is the migration of people from northern Ghana into the city, where they settle down in slums like Sodom and Gomorrah. The city of Accra cannot handle the growing population and need to do something to control it. Which they are starting to try by reaching out to the community leaders in Sodom and Gomorrah and working with them to create better sanitation conditions. Who exactly is affected by this problem? • 12. Problems Associated With A Nationwide Shortage Of Nurses With a nationwide shortage of nurses, nursing care is becoming a limited health resource. Short staffing is a critical concern because many studies link staffing levels to safe client care. Unfortunately, some facilities continue to staff nursing units with fewer registered nurses and more unlicensed caregivers. When this occurs, nurses become concerned that staffing in their institutions is not adequate to ensure client safety, much less to allow them to provide the level of care that they value. California is the only state that has enacted legislation mandating specific nurse–to–patient ratios in hospitals and other healthcare settings (Alexander, 2015). This is not the simple solution that it seems. Some organizations are forced to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The proportion of nurses to non–nurses working in locations that provide direct nursing care has decreased in recent years. Some of these reductions are due to hospitals cutting nursing staff and replacing them with unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP's) as a measure to contain costs. Another factor is the increasing demand for nurses to work in new roles, such as leaving bedside nursing for case management roles as another way to contain costs. As a result in these reductions, some nurses feel that they can no longer provide quality health care, experience disillusionment, and end up leaving the profession. Many newly qualified nurses begin their careers with strong ideals and standards but after just two years of working, many became discouraged and disillusioned (Patterson, 2011). Better staffing levels could alleviate stress and allow nurses to practice with the standard of care they should, preventing burnout and job dissatisfaction. With a growing body of evidence to support the idea that low staffing levels increase patient mortality and adverse events, it is important to look at what ideal staffing is. The Victoria levels are used in the state of California and in Victoria, Australia to set standard ratios of nurse to patients. In California, the ratio has been set at 1:5 for medical and surgical wards, with an eventual aim of 1:4 for both public and private hospitals (Patterson, 2011). Problems Associated With Inventory Management Complexities in Inventory Management Due to the increasing globalization of markets, the level of competition has increased considerably; thus, leading to increased inventory management complexity. Indeed, complexity has several negative consequences including high operation costs, time delay, customer dissatisfaction, inventory shortage, excess inventory, lack of collaboration, cooperation, and integration among supply chain participants (Hudnurkar, Jakhar and Rathod). A supply chain comprises of several business partners who work together either directly or indirectly. The interaction between these parties is characterized by the flow of information, material, and finances. These flows may lead to complexity if there is a lack of information within the participants. Notably, inventory management complexity is closely related supply chain management costs. An increase in complexity is known to result in higher supply chain costs. As such, this paper evaluates some of the causes of inventory management s complexity and their possible remedies. Evidently, increased complexity leads to high operational costs, which need to be reduced through effective collaboration among the supply chain partners (Hudnurkar, Jakhar and Rathod). The sources of these complexities occur from either internal or external drivers or both. Therefore, understanding and measuring these complexities is becoming increasingly important from the managerial side of an organization (Ramaekers and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 16. Problems Associated With Quality Education The most surprising thing that occurred during the interview process actually happened before the interview itself. It took us quite a long time to decide who will be our target on solving problems in connection with quality education. Initially, we planned on interviewing high school students for this project; however, it became a challenge because we realized that we could not interview them during regular school hours. Therefore, we interviewed students from San Francisco community college, with the purpose of knowing some challenges that they came across when they were still in high school. Furthermore, we wanted to know what sort of problems that they are currently dealing with in college and what they wish could have been different if they were more prepared for it. We divided our team into two groups and went to two different locations. One team went to cafeteria while the other team went to the library. The interviewed went really well, because most of the students were excited to share their past experienced. They were willingly shared their experience and their "gain and pains" as they studied in college and their experienced in High school. What did not go well was that there were several students that we interviewed did not fit the criteria because they did not graduate high school in America. • 17. Problems Associated With Nursing Education Introduction In recent years, adequate clinical experience and education has become an issue in the field of nursing. As technology advances, new strategies and concepts emerge, changing the structure of nursing education. These changes have ultimately led to the concern of many nurses feeling underprepared for the real world of nursing. While there are multiple factors that may contribute to nurses feeling underprepared in the real world of nursing, the main and most common factor is insufficient and inadequate clinical preparation directly related to the insufficient amount of clinical hours and lack of exposure to and placement in varied clinical settings. Along with the concern dissatisfaction and distress in nurses, according to Johanson (2013), the concern of patient safety has become increasingly important as more nurses reveal inadequate clinical training. Issues Facing Clinical Nursing Education The profession of nursing is one that requires extreme care, caution, and compassion. It requires complete concentration and a certain amount of confidence in knowledge and skill that has been taught. Unfortunately, recently the attention on clinical skills and exposure to different areas of nursing has been pushed aside to make room for theoretical principals of nursing. Because the focus of education has shifted to include more class time on theory rather than skills in clinical setting, nurses are expressing their concern of being underprepared for real– world nursing ... • 18. Problems Associated With Water Resources Water is a basic necessity in our daily lives. Over 50% of our bodies are made up of water, so in order to be a healthy human being we should be consuming about 2 liters of water a day. This is easy to do for some people, especially those who live in more developed countries such as the United States of America. This can't be said for developing countries, such as Algeria. Considering that the Sahara Desert covers most of Algeria, it is one of the countries that are water–scarce. The water sector in Algeria is very unreliable particularly due to its geography and climate change. These impacts are causing problems for future water resources. Water resources are one of Algeria's most current issues and dealing with the decrease in renewable water resources. This is problematic because the declining water resources means Algerians lack access to safe, clean drinking water, which can lead to diseases if people are consuming contaminated water. Also with limited/declining water resources there are issues with hunger and sanitation. There isn't enough water for agriculture and the production of crops. It's important to address the issue of water scarcity and implement solutions that will better the supply of water. Algeria's renewable water resources in the 1980's were estimated to be about 16.5 billion m3 a year on average, but since then Algeria's numbers have decreased 25% per year (Hamiche 2014). • 24. Problems Associated With The Financial Crisis Credit Bubble The end of 2007 confirmed the conventional view that the initial financial problems were concentrated in institutions exposed to mortgage securitization. But how it is that financial imbalances were transmitted into macroeconomic disruptions? What mainly channeled the crisis to other sectors was the resulting contraction in credit, of banks and other financial intermediaries. It is important to differentiate between the loss of financial actors associated with mortgages, which was the initially crisis, and the losses caused by the after effects, also called second–round effects, which had significant consequences on the supply of credit. It will be analyzed in detailed above, how the problems associated with the housing bubble resulted in the contraction of credit supply by financial institutions. Modern financial intermediaries assess risk through certain practices. They manage their balance sheets (assets and liabilities position) steadily in response to changes in the anticipated risk and asset prices. Fluctuations in asset prices are variations in net worth that cause reactions of intermediaries. Furthermore, fluctuations in the valuation of risk assets translate into reactions from leveraged institutions. Financial intermediaries react very differently to fluctuations in wealth compared with the reaction of individuals, families or non–financial institutions. Families tend to not change much their balances even when they experience changes in asset prices. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With that being said, the due diligence issues presented in this scenario and the steps to comply with due diligence are as follows: The first thing came to mind was to verify Charlie's age and filing status. For his age, I would ask to see his social security card and driver's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If so, then information such as legal documents regarding the separation would be needed. This is because he might fall under a different filing status and may also meet the requirements as head of household. Also, things such as alimony paid or received and child support could be a factor in preparing his income tax. Plus, this could help in determining who can claim the children as an exemption and receive the child tax credit and earned income tax credit. In addition to the inquiries above, I would need to help him figure out if the children meet the requirements as a qualifying child. The test includes verification of the children's age, residency, and relationship. In some cases, where the child is older, the joint return test would be required too, but the latter does not seem to apply in this scenario. However, for clarification of the children's age and to comply with due diligence, I would ask for their social security cards. Furthermore, to ensure his confidence in me, I would help him understand that these are the IRS requirements and that I am here to assist him in properly filing his taxes. Now, as we determine if the relationship and residency tests are met, I must (1) explain to him what relationships are acceptable as a qualifying child, which are most relatives except cousins, and (2) verify that he provided his residency for the children for over half of the year. This can be substantiated by him providing (1) receipts of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Problems Associated With Urban Noise Pollution Introduction Urban noise pollution is causing increased health risks in the population. This is due both to the fact that noise levels, particularly those associated with transport, have increased dramatically since the mid–twentieth century and that a higher percentage of the world population is now concentrated in urban systems. This problem has also increased economic costs due to failing health and reduced productivity of the population, affecting between 0.2% and 2% of gross domestic product in the US. In the European Union, the costs range between $13 billion and $38 billion per year. In addition, traffic noise causes the depreciation of properties exposed to high noise levels. Studies on urban noise are becoming more numerous, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a starting point, vehicles were classified into the following categories: motorcycles, cars (including cars, trucks, small delivery vans and microbuses), buses, mini–buses (small buses) and trucks (over 3 tons). Subsequently, we conducted measurements of single noise on the streets of the city (n = 533 vehicles), seeking to exclude the impact of other vehicles and other sources of noise. To this end, we used an integrated Extech type II sound level meter (SLM) to evaluate the instantaneous sound level (Li,1sec) during the approach and passage of each vehicle in front of the SLM on roads with 1 and 2 lanes. These measurements followed conventional techniques and were conducted using a tripod and a windscreen at a height of 1.2 m at a distance of 1 m from the road with A and slow weights. In parallel, we gauged the pace at which every vehicle was voyaging utilizing manual Bushnell supplies. In all cases, the predominating conditions included level, dry streets, wind speeds short of what 4 km/h and a low frequency of other clamor sources. For each type of vehicle, we conducted a regression analysis between the maximum noise level (when passing in front of the SLM) and speed. Because this yielded low coefficients of determination, we implemented classification trees to dissociate subgroups depending on the speed of vehicles. Subsequently, we averaged all noise levels recorded in each subgroup at time zero (passing in front of the SLM) and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Problems Associated With Stress And Anxiety Being able to cope with stress and anxiety are vital to an athlete who has to perform in high pressure situations. Having the ability to control these feelings of nervousness and apprehension are vital for peak performance. Sport performers must be able to manage stress in a wide range of environmental demands and psychological responses throughout the course of experience in their sport of desire and their performance. Some performers are able to manage the variety of causes and consequences of stress but others struggle with this issue, resulting in severe impairment to their performance and health. Stress is associated with external and internal stressors along with 3 stress response domains (autonomic, somatic, and cognitive). Stress can be managed though physical relaxation, imagery, and goal setting. These specific types of stress management approaches are applied for athletes to help cope and handle anxiety when preforming at a high level of their desired sport. External stress comes in multiple forms, management of those stressors comes from removing the external cues, cope with those external cues, or develop new responses for stress cues. Putting too much attention and focus into a stress cue can cause it to linger but removal of the external cues will help reduce stress. Some athletes develop tension and anxiety by seeing their competitor performance. By not allowing observation of the opponent to occur, it is one way to delay the onset of anxiety to set (Suinn, ... • 36. Problems Associated With Climate Change 1. What is this report about? It considers threats and impacts associated with climate change could be reduced and handled through mitigation and adaptation. The report evaluates resilience, choices, opportunities, constraints, needs, limits, as well as other features connected with adaptation. Climate change requires shifting probabilities of impacts that are varied with complicated interactions. A focus on danger, which will be not old in this report, complements other aspects of the report and supports decision. Societies and individuals may view or rate possible gains and hazards otherwise, given aims and varied values. All–inclusive evaluation has been eased by increased works across a more comprehensive group of issues and sectors, with increased coverage of the ocean, variation, as well as human systems. (IPCC, 2014) The findings in this report have greatly improved our knowledge of the range of decrease pathways accessible and their inherent economical, technological and institutional demands. The report thus requires the urgent attention of both policymakers as well as the public. (IPCC, 2014) 2. What climate change vulnerabilities are identified for your region? Climate change has mixed effects on farming and the effects are very different with regards to harvests, periods and areas. The transforming factors of climate have now been exerting unfavorable impacts that were powerful on Malaysian agriculture, which can be apprehended to result in shortages of ... Problems Associated With Urinary Tract Infections In order to reduce Hospital Readmissions and Hospital Acquired Conditions financial resources need to be managed carefully, as leaders we have to understand that by investing in nursing training and in departments like Infection Control we will save money at the and most important we will provide better care to our patients. In our hospital the Vascular Access team came up with the initiative of creating the "PICC Police", they not only monitor the timely dressing change of their lines and competence of nurses but also educate patients and family on how nurses should perform the procedures, on signs and symptoms of infection and on how to contact the Vascular Access team if they have any question or concern. By educating and involving the patients and caregivers on their care nurses are force to perform by the book and a 46% decrease in CLABSIs has occurred. Among Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) acquired in the hospital, approximately 75% are associated with a urinary catheter. Between 15–25% of hospitalized patients receive urinary catheters during their hospital stay (as per Center for Disease Control and Prevention), the most important risk factor for developing a catheter–associated UTI (CAUTI) is prolonged use of the urinary catheter. • 38. Problems Associated With The Building And Construction... Despite various construction acts, regulations, standards, codes, licensing regimes, other management approaches such as quality management, risk management, defect management building are still handed with defects. It is evident from Queensland Building and Construction Commission (2015a) annual report that in 2014/15 alone received 4,793 complaints about defective work. There are many other defects that are seen to occur during the construction process, which gets rectified before the practical completion and does not appear on QBCC top ten lists (Sommerville & McCosh 2006). It is this phenomenon that led to the investigation that is described in this study. In developed countries such as Australia, subcontractors do most of the on–site work. According to Pratt (2011) in residential projects almost 80% of work is performed by subcontractors and often most of the on–site work is carried out by the sub trades leaving the main builders as the co–ordinator of various sub–trades. However despite subcontractor or trade contractor being the specialists in the specific area, there are yet many problems associated with subcontractors. 1.2 Research objectives The primary objective of this project is to understand how to manage defects in single and two storey residential projects within Queensland. Furthermore, the primary objective also involves taking a trade–based approach towards the investigation. To assist in completing this primary objective, the research project will be ... • 39. Problems Associated With Quality Education 1. The most surprising thing that occurred during the interview process actually happened before the interview it self. One team went to the cafeteria while the other team went to the library. The interviewed went really well, because most of the students were excited to share their past experienced. They were willingly shared their experience and their "gain and pains" as they studied in college and their experienced in High school. What did not go well was that there were several students that we interviewed did not fit the criteria because they did not graduate high school in America. As we did not know their background before, some times it was too late for us to realize that we were wasting our time on interviewing wrong person. 2. Before ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
