This document summarizes a research paper on developing a smart street lighting system using IoT and cloud technology based on sunlight intensity detection. The system uses LDR sensors to detect sunlight intensity and an Arduino microcontroller to control LED street lights to automatically turn on and off based on the sensor readings. An ESP8266 WiFi module transmits sensor data to a cloud server (ThingSpeak API) for remote monitoring and visualization. The system aims to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs compared to traditional street lighting by automating control of the lights based on sunlight availability. Experimental results show the smart street lighting system can effectively save energy on a large scale.
