This document describes an interactive voice response system to measure traffic density using infrared sensors. The system uses IR sensors placed alongside roads to measure vehicle distances and determine traffic levels as low, medium, or high. When a citizen calls the assigned number, an Arduino board recognizes the call using a DTMF decoder and directs a voice integrated circuit to playback the corresponding audio traffic update which is transmitted to the caller. The system is designed to help citizens avoid traffic congestion by providing real-time traffic information without internet access.
