He began his career as a sales executive in a merchandising

Gaurav had a great experience, but after a few months got

Our Journey began in 2012, when we incorporated Ecom
Express as a Private Limited Company. We started
operations on 31st January 2013 in 35 cities with a team
size of 300+ and 42 delivery centres.
We further launched operations in the state of Jammu and
Kashmir and began operations in India's Western and
Southern regions. Then we expanded to 100+ Delivery
Centres in the same year.
In 2014, Ecom expanded its operations to Hyderabad,
Chennai, Kanyakumari and Pune. Raised Series A
Investment of $17 Million from Peepul Capital. Increased
team size to over 1300 employees. Expanded to 300+
Delivery Centres.
In 2015, Ecom Express established the first country-wide
express surface transportation network to enhance
consistency and reduce dependency on air. We raised a
Series B investment of $133 Million from Warburg Pincus.
We launched operations in Eastern India, expanding its
footprint to whole of India. We completed full-state
coverage of Delhi, Haryana, and Goa. We increased the
team size to over 7400 employees. Expanded to 650+
Delivery Centres.
In 2016, the company extended full-state coverage in Tamil
Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Expanded services to the remotest parts of the Northeast
region, including Aizawl and Dimapur. Launched India-1
centre, a state-of-the-art facility spread across 500000 sq. ft.
housing Pickup Processing Centre, Hub and Fulfillment
Centre in Bilaspur (Haryana)—increased team size to over
14000 employees with presence in over 1000 towns and
established 1200+ Delivery Centres.
In 2017, Ecom Express launched Fulfillment Services
(EFS) with centres in Bengaluru, Lucknow, Kolkata and
Delhi. We extended full-state coverage in Punjab, Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Bihar and West Bengal. We attained the
capability to deliver to 60 per cent of India’s population.
In 2018, the firm launched Ecom Digital Services (EDS).
We launched operations in Kerala. We opened Fulfillment
Centre (FCs) in Kerala, Assam, Punjab and Bihar, taking
the count to 16 FCs.
Extended full-state coverage in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,
Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Assam, Odisha, Jharkhand, and
Chhattisgarh – taking full-state coverage to 20 states. We
attained the capability of reaching around 92 per cent of
India’s population. We increased team size to 19,000+
employees in more than 2400 cities/towns and 2500+
Delivery Centres.
In 2019, we achieved 1000+ Cr revenue. We established 21
Fulfillment Centres across India. We raised a series C
investment of $36 Million from CDC Group.
In 2020, Ecom Express forayed into Andaman & Nicobar. It
also achieved the deployment of the country’s largest
automated sorter at the INDIA-1 centre in Bilaspur,
Haryana.
In 2021, Ecom Express achieved another feat by making its
international foray by investing in Bangladesh’s third-party
e-commerce logistics firm, Paperfly.
