2. If we were to start the whole project again I
personally, wouldn’t change much but would
make certain amendments in our advert 2
because, that is the only advert we did not
thoroughly plan for, and had planned it
alongside with filming. The change that I would
make in advert 2 would be to change the
homosexual stylist, as he did not act as great as
he could have nor did he have the gay look to
him, yet this does not impact our advert greatly
because the audience will still suss that he is
meant to be gay due to his voice and body
language in many shots.
4. On the other hand our advert one could have been
slightly longer and we could have included more action
and movement to make it look like a proper advert
overall, as many adverts do consist of movement and a
variety of different shots, therefore this was the downfall
in our advert 1. Also the second main amendment I
would make to this sequence would be to re-shoot the
ending, as the actor focuses on the person behind the
camera and therefore you can tell that they are not
confident to be filmed. Lastly our radio advert is straight
and simple and gets straight to the point, there are not
many amendments that can be made within
this, however if we had recorded this first we may have
had more time to spare on our TV adverts and
sponsorship. Overall I am pleased with most of the
outcome.
7. In the construction of media technology was,
using the internet and looking at all the different
adverts in order to start preparing for our own
advert sequences. The internet was a great
advantage as it had given us a wide range of
different adverts, different locations. Whilst
using the internet I had mainly used YouTube as
it contained all the updated videos of recent
adverts that had been filmed the link where this
can be accessed is;
http://www.youtube.com/?tab=w1
8. • I had also used Google to find out minor and
common things that I required to understand, the
related link to this is;
http://www.google.co.uk/webhp?source=search_
app
• Another source of the internet that I had used
often to update my coursework on was blogger
and the link where this can be found is;

9. All these methods and links above I had used
were simply from the internet and they can be
accessed to you through various ways such as:
you home laptop and internet, school
intranet, and even public libraries allow you to
use the internet. My main source to access all
this was through my own personal laptop and
home internet connection very rarely did I use
other computers when processing my work as
this personally, for me is hassle and it’s hard to
keep backing up your work.
10. Last of all I had accessed the links from the
internet that were needed for me to be able to
complete my ASA textual Research; there was a
variety of different links in order to complete
this task.
Secondly we had used a source of technology
whilst filming for this procedure, portable
cameras. The advantage of the cameras were
that they were small and light therefore could
be carried to different locations without a
problem, for example when having to carry the
cameras home and to school and other locations
when filming or re-shooting.
11. The disadvantage was that they were not very clear
when filming as they are not advanced enough, nor
can you get the correct lighting or adjust the
lighting on the camera, all of this has to be done
when editing because the cameras do not have the
option to where you can change the lighting effect
to where you want, e.g. when filming on a sunny
day getting rid of the dark lighting at times or
wanting high key lighting in dark places etc.
However we could alter our clips on the Macs on
iMovie which were two other sources of
technological use, having access to iMovie on the
Macs made the process of editing very easy and
less time consuming.
12. The advantage of having iMovie was mainly
beneficial to our sponsorship we sped up the
sponsorship in order for the outcome to be how we
wanted it to, on the other hand the disadvantage of
iMovie and the Macs was that the Macs were slow
at processing the editing required and did not
always save our work therefore we had to do it.
IMovie was not always up to our required standards
either, as it can be quite hard to use and confusing
due to the way the settings work and where certain
types of editing settings are arranged make it hard
to find the exact thing you are seeking.
13. Our main priorities of technological use was the
cameras as they had the functions of zooming in
and out whilst recording, memory use that could
take up a lot of scenes and shots, different medias
to where and how we could process our work; the
first being recording and being able to film a
sequence, secondly taking pictures for our photo
storyboards, and thirdly recording where it would
pick up the dialogue and this is where it became
ideal for our radio advert. A MP3 was another
technological source as we had converted the
sponsorship music from YouTube to MP3 and
imported it on a MP3 then imported it to the Macs
which had then allowed us to edit it on the
sequence through iMovie.
14. Moving on the Macs were also a good source of
technology as it had the software of iMovie where
our sequences could be edited and filed together,
the Macs themselves held all our work in a
document. Above everything we had the ideal use
of our own technological source which was to write
up our own evaluation on our own PC’s and being
able to own the file of the evaluation ourselves,
without having to depend on someone else, also
our evaluation used up another source of
technology which was to record myself talking
about my evaluation and then being able to edit on
the iMovie software on the Macs.
