How did you use new media technologies
1. HOW DID YOU USE NEW
MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN
CONTRUCTION AND
RESEARCH, PLANNING AND
EVALUATION STAGE?
QUESTION 4
2. TUMBLR
Tumblr was one of the main technologies I used when it came to
producing my media coursework. This was the place where we uploading
our planning, research and evaluation of our coursework and is what all
students had to use. It allows students to blog their current work. This is
the area in which all of our marking for our coursework would take place
so must make sure it is set out in a presentable style. You could post links
from YouTube and Slide Share which would allow you to complete your
work on a computer or laptop. There is also an app version of Tumblr so
you could work and upload work from your smartphone or ipad/tablet.
3. CAMERAS
The camera that me and my group used to film was a DSLR 3200, these
cameras were a lot better than the cameras we used last year as they were
newer so the picture was more clear giving it more detail. We also used
two different lenses, ones that were good for close up shots and zoom
lenses that were good for establishing shots. We also used the camera to
film our focus groups from both year 12 and year 13. Throughout my 2
years being a student I have developed skills on how to use the camera
which really helped me make my coursework the best I could.
4. PREMIERE PRO
Premiere pro was used a lot throughout the 2 year media course, it was
used to edit preliminary tasks, main tasks, animatic and focus groups. I
used things such as cuts and dips to blacks to make my media products
look professional. A2 media required a lot more skill than AS because we
had to make sure we were cutting on the correct beat otherwise it would
be out of time and look unprofessional. To edit we used the razor tool
which is what cut the clips up to make sure they would go with the beat of
the song.
5. PHOTOSHOP
Photoshop is what was used to create the drafts to my digipak and
magazine advert. I used photos from a photoshoot and then imported
them into Photoshop, I used a digipak template to make sure I was
placing the photos in the correct places. I was able to change the colours
and rotate the pictures to make sure they fitted the colour scheme I
wanted for my digipak. I have had previous experience working with
photoshop so this worked in my advantage as I was able to use the skills I
had already learned to make my digipak look good.
