3. Process
Took a screenshot from footage
Placed it into Photoshop
Added mast head
Inserted some text about the feature articles
Placed scribbles over the faces of the actors to create an
anonymous feel to their story and arouse interest in
them.
Messed around with the colour of the titles etc to see
which would be the most effective
Added a gradient to the bottom and the top then faded it
with the opacity levels on the layers icon to achieve
optimum balance for a proffesional finish
4. Process
Scrapped the scribbles over the faces
Drew black rectangles using the rectangle tool
Rasterized the rectangles then marquee tool selected
them and right click free transform to resize and alter the
angle for each actor
Opened up 3 pictures for the “set designers” locations
then cropped them and resized for the front cover using
cropping tool then marquee
Select each photo individually and copy and paste into
the front cover (using command+C and command+V)
Create text box about set designer, separate ones for each
font to get the size ratio correct
5. Process
Went on dafont.com and installed a new font for the
masthead
Then did some comparisons between the different fonts
for the magazine title
Cut out picture of “rick harken” and then use the circular
marquee tool to cut out circular section for the corner
piece
Use the oval shape tool to draw different coloured circles
for the competition badge
Create the competition text using different text boxes and
font sizes
Insert barcode and resize and rotate with the marquee
tool and free transform
