Mobile barcodes known as QR codes can help facilitate mobile learning by providing easy access to online content through smartphones. QR codes allow learners to be directed to manuals, assessments, course updates and background information for field trips with a single scan. However, their use depends on learner access to camera-equipped phones and willingness to utilize the technology. As mobile and QR code technology continues to evolve, it may further enhance mobile learning opportunities.
