In my essay I is going to analyse a promotional video of an
American school called Stockton’s ABLE Charter High School. I
am going to also talk about the different types of camera shots
and convention that they use in their promotional video.
2. To begin with in their promotional video they have a very
inspiring music however there are also some title and text that
come up as the music plays. Therefore this shows the audience
how peaceful the video is and the long extreme shot of the title
makes it very interesting especially the words that they use
makes even more appealing such as “best” “education”
3. Here as you can see in the promotional video they have a
shot of a student who speaks about the school. However
in the video they also have title and text to tell audience
the name of the student. Therefore this makes it very
appealing to the audience because it gives them details of
who the student is and the shot looks very eye catchy
because of the background.
4. Here above as you can see in the video there is an older student from
the school who is talking about the school in a mid-shot. As a result
this makes the audience focus on the way she speaks and it makes the
audience feel engaged because of the mid shot of the student.
Therefore the video shows various students from the school from
young year to the oldest year which makes it more interesting and
appealing to what they have to say about the school.
