Convention= The essentials within a media text that allow the
audience to know what type of text they are seeing, hearing.

2. Locked up GCSE music video
• Good points: The editing skills, the cut and fades, cross cutting, different
shot types. The acting shows the cliché hip hop genre video. The different
scenes/settings have a link of being locked up in a prison.
• Improvements: The lip syncing could have been improved abit. To have
different clothes on to represent the prison uniform rather then school
uniform.

3. Billionaire GCSE music video

Good points: Different shot types, different scenes and environments like
school, around Camden. It is a happy song and their emotion and facial
expressions shows us that. They’re doing things in the more expensive parts of
London showing expensive cars, houses ETC.

Improvements: Try to make lip sync work abit better. Don’t chew chewing gum
while recording the video. Aspect ratio needed better lighting some parts of the
video was to dark. Also toward the end of the video they started singing each
other’s parts which got the audience confused.

4. Written in the Stars GCSE music video
•
Good points: There were a few good parts where the lip syncing was good. A few
good editing skill, cuts, fades etc.
•
Improvements: Lip syncing overall needed a bit of work. The scenes they shot
should of been more professional and the shots didn’t even mean anything to the
song.

5. I’m at 16 at war GCSE music video
•
Good points: The singer gave good facial expression that goes with the feeling of
the song. The eye contact with the camera made it feel personal. The lip syncing
was pretty much perfect. Really good shots with the girl crying which made the
meaning and emotion link better to the video. The camera movement was slow
and smooth and some good tracking shots.
•
Improvements: Some shots were too repetitious, should have added different
shots in different places. Should’ve got more people too make way for more and
better scenes.
