Edon editing logs
1. Once I had all the footage recorded I had to upload it to final cut pro so I could start
editing them. To upload them I had to go attach the camera to the Mac with a cable,
then I went to file, log and transfer and choose which scenes we wanted to upload
from the camera to the mac on final cut pro. I had to organize the clips so I knew
what scenes I had and were best for me to use. I also named some of the clips so it
would be easier for me to find. I named the intertitles so I knew which was which
and where it would go.
Some of the scenes I wanted to make them look like they were filmed in night vision,
I used effects to make this happen. To do this I clicked on effects, color correction
2. and RGB balance. I then had to turn the blue and reds down so the green would stick
out more and look like night vision. I done this because some of the scenes were
dark and they were filmed at night and could not be seen properly so the night
vision effect made it visible and more realistic. This also worked well because it
made some things stand out more and were more visible. This also gave it a more
freakishly scary feel because we don’t usually see footage in green or night vision.
I used intertitles in my movie trailer; I used them because it makes the viewer feel
more intense when he reads about the movie. I created them on motion and the
uploaded on them final cut pro to use in my trailer. I decided to use intertitles
because they make the viewer interact more because they have to read and get
more involved and they also break up the trailer and give out important information
for example a release date.
