1. Blog Reflection
Throughoutmy research and planning I thought aboutmany different types of
film openings that I could pursueas my final project, this meant I researched
all different genres and got knowledgeon a bunch of different genre
conventions which helped me once we decided whatto do. In the end we
picked the comedy genre which was good as I have the most knowledgeon
that genre as it is my favourite. This meant that the planning in the early stages
was done easily and swiftly as I already had the knowledge, things such as
camera types and shot, comedic ideas to be implemented after analysing other
comedy film openings and more. This helped a lot as it meant we can get
straighton with our projectinstead of having to do the research all over again.
Simeon and I decided to be actors in the film opening as we both do A-Level
Drama and are comfortablein frontof camera, we also got Verona’s help as
she also does Drama. This meant we had comfortable actors in frontof camera
which comes across much better to the audience rather than people who have
never acted before, especially in frontof camera.
OverallI believe after viewing our film opening and getting audience feedback I
can see that we successfully created a comedic film opening that is enjoyable
for the audience to watch, we did this by implementing a lot of comedy
conventions into our film opening.
