19. Academic History
• I studied Art GCSE at school which I feel helped me ignite my
creativity. I am media at which gives me more opportunities to
create films and explore more ideas in designing how things look,
sound and feel. This helps me with ideas for future projects I want
to do, in terms of how creative they can be. In Photoshop I have
learned how to use the lasso tool to to select the outline of
objects, cut them and paste them in other places. More
importantly in editing softwares I have used to make music videos
I have learned how to increase/decrease volume and use the split
tool to cut videos into two and paste other videos to create a
scene. Whether the final result is good or bad I, learn from it
either way and I use those skills and techniques I learned when
making it for the future.
20. Current Study
• Studying creative media has thought me many
creatives kills in terms of using Photoshop and
many editing softwares. By using Premiere Pro I
was able to make 6 ½ minute black and white
music video. I was very proud of how the final
product turned out. Even though the video was in
black and white I think I made it look look as
pleasing as possible by adjusting brightness and
contrast. Sometimes I enjoy the work so much it
becomes addictive and whenever a project is
done I suddenly want to do more.
21. The Future
• I want to peruse a career Film-Making, specifically
writing and directing. I find films to be the perfect
opportunity to exploit my art and creativity and they
are my favourite form of storytelling. Over the recent
years I have developed many ideas for indie films and
even a TV show. I have always had a passion for movies
and making them, by going to university I can study
directing, editing, cinematography and hopefully go on
to start doing real projects. I plan to start doing
amateur projects and then go on to do slightly bigger
projects. To prepare for this I plan to take a practical
film course.
22. Outside College
• The closest thing I do outside college that relates
to films is making movies/vlogs on my YouTube
channel. I upload averagely and my goal with
each of my videos is to entertain the viewer. I
make my sketches as developed and as well
written as possible despite my limited resources
when I make them which is always at home.
• For a job I do Leaflet Droppings for my fathers
Estate Agency. I only work one day a week but I
make a good salary at the end of the month.
23. Conclusion
• I want to go to university to study films and film
production so I can become a film director. I think
it would really help me pursue my wanted career
and teach me everything I need to know about
making.
• I believe that I would be a good candidate for
university. I always show 100% dedication to
make sure my work is as good as it can be if not
better. I always pay attention in class and always
meet deadlines.
