In what ways does your media product use
1. In what ways does your media
product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions
of real media products?
By Hannah Wright
2. Films with similar target audiences are film
such as;
• Silence of the Lambs.
• Se7en.
• Rear Window.
• The Prestige.
• Shutter Island.
• Black Swan.
3. In order for our film to be successful it is
very vital that we get a specific target
audience that we believe our film will
appeal to and that they will enjoy this
would be the main point for making the
film.
The audience need to relate to the storyline,
the characters and they would need to be
able to identify the setting and the plot
line.
4. The audience for my product would be
between 15-30 year olds. This would be
the correct age group as it is a thriller and
is rather scary with the slight romantic,
love story side to it.
If my final product ‘The Last Rose’ was to be
released for public viewing then it would
require a classification certificate by the
BBFC. Our film would then but classified
as a 15 certificate film.
5. I want my target audience to be able to
relate to the characters that come further
on within the film that we have create.
The key is to make the audience feel like
they know the character, to feel within
there shoes and relate to that character to
give them the full viewing pleasure of my
film. If this doesn’t happen I know that they
my target audience can not relate then to
the film as well, and they will loose
interest.
