editthe videosandcreatedmyfinal sequence.Italsohelpedme toeditinthe differentsounds,I
learnthowto fade the soundinand out,to make the productmore professional. Ialsolearnthow
to crop and add effectstothe videos,like the blackandwhite coloureffect torepresentaflashback.
Usingthe cut tool helpedtocutout unwantedpartsof the scene sothat I didn’thave tore-filmit.It
isalso anotherwayto make the product lookprofessional.Serif MoviePlus alsoenabledme tolearn
howto cut downand trim the shotsusingthe cut and trimtools;it alsotaughtme to use the effect
tool to add differentcolourstothe shots,toshow that the scene isa flashback. Ialsousedthe text
tool to add the differenttitlestomyvideo,suchas‘editedby’usingthe texttool allowedme toedit
the titlesfont,colourandsize,Icouldalsoadd transitionstothe text. Inmy sequence Icreatedthe
sense of horrorand confusionbyusingthe software tomake itlooklike the girl ishavingflashbacks
and lossof memory,the software helpedme dothisbecause itmeantthatI was able tochange the
colourof shotto blackand white tomake the flashbacksmore obvious.Alongwithmysequence the
title ‘traumatised’createsquestionsasto whathappenedbefore she gotlockedinashedandwhat
will happennext? My productionlogoalsocreatedthe sense of horroras I have usedthingswhich
linktothe genre;these are thingssuchas the bloodredwritingandthe roses.
WhilstusingFireworksIwasable tocreate my openingtitle andmyproductionlogoandwhilstdoing
thisI learntthe differentwaysyoucreate differenteffectsonmyworkto make itsuitthe genre
more. I learnthowto use the importimage tool to importan image ontomy logo;I also usedthe cut
tool to cut the image downto the right size.Iusedthe texttool inorderto write the name of the
productionlogoandthe name of the title. The differenttools IusedonFireworksare cropping
imagestofitthe screen.I alsousedthe shadow effecttocreate a redshadow back drop to the
wordsto make the wordsfit the genre more,insteadof the wordslookingplainandboring.
Slideshare helpedme touploadmyworkintoa differentformatsothatit couldbe embeded onto
my Weeblypage. Thisbringsme onto whatusingWeeblyhadtaughtme,ittaught me the different
waysto presentmy work,includingdocuments, PowerPointsandembedcodes.Weeblyhasallowed
me to displaymyworksimpler andalsomake itlookmore professional.
The camera I usedwas a SonyHandicam, 9.2 megapixels,thiscameraletsyoutake photosand
videosandallowsme towatch back whatI have recordedtosee if the qualityandangle isok,this
meansthat if I don’tlike whatIhave recordedcan delete itandthenre-recorditif I have too.Using

the camera has allowedme torecordmy video;itallowedme touse the zoomfeature onthe
camera.This made iteasierto doclose up shotsand to dozoomingeffectsonmyvideo.The camera
qualitywasn’tasprofessionalasitcouldhave been;however,itwasthe bestequipmentavailable at
such shortnotice.
Google formsallowedme tocreate questionandcustomisable responsesinquestionnaireswhich
helpedwithmytargetaudience researchandaudience feedback.While thisisafree andaccessible
productit isstill usedat a professionallevel,thereforemakingmyproductlookmore professional
and realistic. Google Formshashelpedbecause the surveyallowedme to see whatthe target
audience likedinhorrorfilmsandthenallowedme tochange anddevelopthingsalreadyinmy
productto suittheirlikesanddislikes. Google Formsallowedme togetas many responsesas
possible andthismeantmore peoplehadthe chance to answer.Itwas alsoeasiertoseparate the
resultsintowholikedwhatandwhat typesof people are inthose groups. Furthermore,itdisplayed
the resultsina graph; thismade it easiertoanalysis.
Learningthese technologiesmade myopeningsequence more professional andusingthe software
improvedmyworkbecause withouthavingthe software there toeditthe videosandcropor add
effectsthe sequence wouldn’tmake sense anditwouldn’tlooklike the startof a filmbecause it
wouldbe messy,partswouldhave backgroundnoise orthingsgoingwrongdue tonot beingable to
crop themout.So, the software hashelpedimprovemysequence.
