Widespread distribution
means that there is a wider
audience that will taking the
information and apply for the
vacancies.
A disadvantage with this method is that
it will cost the company lots of money
to advertise on print media and TV
Someone can come
across An Ad. This
can play as an
effective
motivation for the
person to apply for
the vacancies.
Trade Press Trade press is when a
company run vacancies so
that they can hire people
to work within a sector of
the company.
An advantage is that there will
be lots of people applying for
the jobs which plays as a
strength for the company as
they can see many candidate
and observe their skills and
ideas that will pay a part
within the company which
promotes them as a whole
A disadvantage is that this method is
very time consuming as there are many
applicants.
People can view
their ads and
hopefully come and
work for them.
Word of mouth when a person excels
within a sector that
companies are looking
out for , which then will
ask someone or a
different company to give
a good reference about a
person so they can get
the job that they aim to
get.
Is someone has a good
reference it will lead to
success when getting a job
within the sector they espier
to work in.
A disadvantage with using this method
is that people works within the industry
can frigate and lie when suggesting
someone for a vacancy.
When a grate
editor works for a
company that isn’t
make much money
therefore the
editor will be
transferred to a
different media
company and get a
reference from his
or her former
manage so the new
boss has an
understanding of
the new employee.
Personal contacts When someone who is
looking for a job will
personally contact the
manager and leave his or
her contact details with
them and wait for a
response.
This is an advantage as it is a
quick process and the job
seeker may get a response
much quicker as the manager
has their personal details.
This is a disadvantage a the job seeker
may not receive the job as he or her
has not created a relationship nor stay
in contact with the company and his or
her personal details may be
overlooked.
the manager of a
company would
look through the
applicants CV so
see if they are
qualified to work
within the industry
and then contact
them back leading
up to an interview
Internet The Internet is a very
common method
nowadays as people goes
online, searching for
vacancies and send their
CV’s over the internet.
This is an advantage as it is an
easy way to conduct research
on various sectors within the
industry. Another advantage
is that it is a fast but easy
process when searching for
jobs.
A disadvantage to this method is that
with such a good reaction and response
managers may struggle sieving through
information and finding the right
candidate for the job.
For e.g. a manager
will create a profile
on a vacancy
website such
reed.com and
collate through the
information by
looking at CV’s Sent
online to find the
right person for the
job.
Internal promotion when an employee gets
promoted to a different
job or sector within the
industry.
An advantage with this is that
the employee will get a higher
pay rise.
A disadvantage for this method can be
that the employee could find the job
that is given to them as a promotion
could be difficult as he/she would of
work within another sector.
if an employee has
worked within the
company for a long
time they would be
promoted within
the company,
higher salary.

Widespread distribution means that there is a wider audience that will taking the information and apply for the vacancies. This can play as an effective motivation for the person to apply for the vacancies. Trade Press Trade press is when a company run vacancies so that they can hire people to work within a sector of the company. An advantage is that there will be lots of people applying for the jobs which plays as a strength for the company as they can see many candidate and observe their skills and ideas that will pay a part within the company which promotes them as a whole A disadvantage is that this method is very time consuming as there are many applicants. People can view their ads and hopefully come and work for them. Word of mouth when a person excels within a sector that companies are looking out for , which then will ask someone or a different company to give a good reference about a person so they can get the job that they aim to get. Is someone has a good reference it will lead to success when getting a job within the sector they espier to work in. A disadvantage with using this method is that people works within the industry can frigate and lie when suggesting someone for a vacancy. When a grate editor works for a company that isn’t make much money therefore the editor will be transferred to a different media company and get a reference from his or her former

Personal contacts When someone who is looking for a job will personally contact the manager and leave his or her contact details with them and wait for a response. This is an advantage as it is a quick process and the job seeker may get a response much quicker as the manager has their personal details. This is a disadvantage a the job seeker may not receive the job as he or her has not created a relationship nor stay in contact with the company and his or her personal details may be overlooked. the manager of a company would look through the applicants CV so see if they are qualified to work within the industry and then contact them back leading up to an interview Internet The Internet is a very common method nowadays as people goes online, searching for vacancies and send their CV’s over the internet. This is an advantage as it is an easy way to conduct research on various sectors within the industry. Another advantage is that it is a fast but easy process when searching for jobs. A disadvantage to this method is that with such a good reaction and response managers may struggle sieving through information and finding the right candidate for the job. For e.g. a manager will create a profile on a vacancy website such reed.com and collate through the information by looking at CV’s Sent online to find the right person for the job. Internal promotion when an employee gets promoted to a different job or sector within the industry. An advantage with this is that the employee will get a higher pay rise. A disadvantage for this method can be that the employee could find the job that is given to them as a promotion could be difficult as he/she would of work within another sector. if an employee has worked within the company for a long time they would be promoted within the company, higher salary.
