4. NOVEMBER 20 The Mexican Revolution was the first social revolution of the century XX whose stage or armed phase lasted from the 1910 to the 1920. The revolution began like a rebellion against the dictatorship of Porfirio Diaz, whom already it had more than 30 years in the power. The movement was led by the intellectual and political theorist Francisco I. Log that with its motto ?effective suffrage, re-election? did not crystallize the displeasure around the country against the dictator Diaz. This phase finished with exile of Diaz in Paris and the triumph of Log in the democratic elections of 1911.
