1. Story-telling Reflection
My Story is called Skeleton vs. Ninjas
The Planning Phase:
I chose to write a thrillergenre because it is scary and fun for a group of boys.The most
interesting thing about my main character is that is that he’s a powerful ninja.I enjoyed
creating the setting because it was fun and interesting.While making my plot diagram, I
found it difficult to draw good pictures.My best idea during planning wasthe main
character.While planning this story I learnedhow to do team work.
The Drafting Phase:
It was difficult to write my story because I had to add detail but still finish in my first try.I
am proud of my story because it is very Intresting and fun.During the Writing Workshops, I
became better at spelling.If I wrote it again, I would improve my story byadding more
details.
The Digital Phase:
I am proud of my movie because it is very good.I found it easy to create the storyboard
because it didn’t need so much detail
My role was to be the script writer.I worked especially hard at spelling.The thing I am most
happy with is my spelling.While making the movie, I learned many new technology skills in
iMovie. I became much better at keyboard skills.If I made the movie again, I would try to
do better narration.
Collaboration:
Sometimes, I enjoyed group work because it is more fun, easier and not lonely.Other times,
I didn’t enjoy group work because it is noisy and hard to get a chance to add
something.While working in a group, I learned how to collaborate.During the unit, our group
became better at teamwork.
What else?
During this story-telling unit I especially enjoyed character making.
After this unit, I might continue to write.
