2. TREATMENTNarrative of the movie :
First act – It starts with the first actress sitting on a table then it goes back to 10 years with
flashbacks of two young girls in japan, laughing and having fun.
Second act – Flashback fades off, and it goes back to the present to one of the girls in the
flashback’s house, Sarah, the girl that is searching for the other girl, Miko, who left her behind
all alone. Sarah receives a phone call, from Miko and they have a discussion and they fight over
the phone, and Miko tells Sarah to meet up.
Third act - They meet up, Miko gives Sarah a present, something very special to her, and
they agree they will both going to try to move on from the past, Sarah agrees but she says to
Miko that she will never stop loving her.
The movie is pretty original, the whole same sex couple thing is still not that much present in
the movie industry, so it will be nice to have something new or something that we don’t get to
see that much on tv. A film dedicated to two Asian girls in love, not something we see on Tv
that often.
My movie fits in the romance drama genre, both are really loved in the UK mostly by the
female audience. It is going to be 5-6 minutes long.
3. P U R P O S E
◦The purpose of the short film is to tell
more about LGBT relationships, and
how hard it was in the 80s to be in a
same sex relationship.
◦To submit it to festival, and to put it
on YouTube to give it more exposure
to a wide audience.

7. PRE-PRODUCTION
S e t D e s i g n
For my short video, most of the scenes
would be mostly inside a room and the
last few would be outside in a park or
just in a garden.
The color palette it’s going to be pretty
yellowish and brown, to give a warm
feeling.
And to make it look it’s set in the 80s
having a warm color tone for the
movie, would make it look much more
vintage kind of type.
10. DEV ELOPMENT - In the future the short film could be
turned into a short six episodes show, each of 30 minutes.
S C R E E N I N G a n d
D I S T R I B U T I O N - The short film could be screened in a
film Festival, since it has higher chance to get in, if it is done well, because it
talks about LGBT people's issues which people really get attracted to a lot.
The movie would be U, since there are no swear words, no nudity, and no
drug use, the short film should be suitable for audiences aged four years
and over, so basically anyone can watch it.
11. L E G A L a n d E T H I C A L
C O N S I D E R A T I O N - Some things that I'll have
to be careful of has to be the background music that I will use for
my short film, since the short film could be taken down because
of copyright issues. So if I want to use music I'll have to get
permission of using it from the owner. Other issues that could
arise is people from Asian countries getting offended that their
country's images is being ruined by showing it in a bad way, like
marrying their daughters off and stuff like that.
13. T A R G E T A U D I E N C E
This film is definitely aimed at an older audience, it means more towards
women, since it is about romance and bigger percentage of women tend
to love this genre more than men do. As for the social grade it is
definitely for an audience from the DE class, semi-skilled and unskilled
manual occupations, students and unemployed people, which are a big
percentage of population in Uk, a maximum of 26.05%.
