FADE IN
INT STUDY ROOM- IN ENGLAND NIGHT 2008
Music playing in the background.
The camera tilts up, and it goes to this girl facing the
camera and she is writing something on some paper, then
the camera moves closer and it zooms in to the wall that
is at the front of the girl, there is lots of prizes put
like in shelves, in all fo them there is a "Sarah Paul
best seller of the year" wrote. And there is some
newspapers framed, which are all about Sarah Paul being
best seller but this time with her face on it. And next
to all those trophies and pictures, there is a necklace
with a pendant, a heart, but half of it is missing.
Slowly fades out to dark.
1998 - EVENING
Music fades in and it keeps playing in the background,
the screen is still dark and there is a date at the
middle of the screen wrote with a Typewriter font which
says "10 years ago".
FADE IN:
EXT. 1998, IN A PARK - DAY

showed, in the flashback there are two girls taking
pictures next to trees, both enjoying each others company,
and just messing around with each other.
INT RESTAURANT- NIGHT
Both girls eating food, music still playing. Close ups of
their faces, them enjoying the food and giving really
goofy expressions to each other.
3. 2.
EXT BRIDGE - NIGHT
Flashback still going on, both young girls are holding
their ands while admiring the beautiful sunset. Both
slowly start to move closer to each other, and their
shoulders are touching, there is 2 seconds eye contact
between them, and then they quickly turn around and they
start laughing. The camera slowly tilts towards the sky
and it fades out.
(Music was still playing until the screen fades out
completely)
FADE OUT:
INT STUDY ROOM- NIGHT 2008
Flashback's over.
The girl sitting on the chair holding tea gets up, and
the camera follows her around while keeping an over the
shoulder angle for some shots and close ups to her hands,
puts the tea down and grabs a book.
Moves around study room ,and she looks like the girl from
the flashbacks and the girls from those newspapers, the
one that has the best seller of the year Sarah Wu. Then
the camera does a close up again to her hands holding the
book.
SARAH- 25 years old, British raised in Australia, in
search of lost love, famous writer.
SARAH
(in a very tired and
miserable tone)
Miko...
She reads the title of her book which is of the girl she
loved and gave her everything for but she lost her 10
years go. Miko is the same girl that was seen at the
start with Sarah.
CLOSE UP OF SARAH'S FACE
A tear rolls down, then you hear the phone ringing really
loudly and it was coming from the study room. Sarah wipes
her tears off and slowly goes to pick the phone up.
MID SHOT OF SARAH SITTING ON A CHAIR
4. 2.
She is holding the phone, there is complete silence for
some seconds.
STRANGER
(Over the phone)
Heyyy...Sarah, missed me ?
A girl with a really bright and lively voice says.
And Sarah freezes for a bit, she is lost for words, she
quickly recognises that soft voice. She starts to cry
again.
Miko- 29 years old, Indian, comes from a really strict
and close minded family. Lost love of Sarah
SARAH
( with hiccups
because of how much
she is crying)
MIKO.. why did you leave me ?
MIKO
(over the phone)
Before I start explaining what
happened that day, you have to
stop wasting your tears on me.
SARAH
(not crying as much
as before) (ANGRILY)
Just shut up and talk! I've waited
10 years...You know how damn long
that is
MIKO
(over phone) cool tone
I can't talk if you want me to
shut up (giggle guffaws) but
yeah...(serious) I know that I
hurt you, and that my one stupid
decision caused lots of pain for
the both of us... But we both know
we were never meant to be
together. The people around us
would have never let us be.
SARAH (STILL ANGRY)
So you were scared of what people
were going to think about us? Is
that why you left huh?
5. 2.
MIKO
(over the phone) (shocked)
Is that what you really think of
me? My life has never been easy
but I never wanted to leave you...
(pause)cut to Sarah's reaction
My father had passed away, i just
didn't know what to do that day.
The first thing that came to my
mind was to just leave because I
wanted to see him one last time.
SARAH (CALMLY)
I'm sorry for what happened to
your father I just...
MIKO
(over the phone)
Sarah it's okay: You don't have to
forgive me but what happened
should be left in the past... It
would be best for us, cause we
can't do anything anymore.
SARAH (TENSE)
What you mean nothing can be done!
We have found each other again
after 10 years, you can't tell me
to move on without you when we
have finally heard from you again.
This IS MEANT TO BE, we are meant
to be...
MIKO
(over the phone)
(sadly)
Sarah...I'm married, my mother
forced me into getting married
right after father's death. She
couldn't raise me and my siblings
by herself and since I'm the
oldest I had to leave.
SARAH(STILL ANGRY)
If you were such a BIG problem for
her to deal with, why didn't you
just run away? Why did you even
let your mother, rule and play
with your life. It's yours not
hers.
MIKO
(over the phone)
6. 2.
Because respect and what society
would think, this is all my cares
about... She would have died if I
had ran away and not because she
cared about me but because of all
the things people would have said
about her and my siblings. And she
was all I had after my father...
Please try to understand...
SARAH
I could've been there if you had
let me. And this would't have
happened if I was, You wouldn't be
married. I wouldn't be broken. WE
wouldn't be broken.
MIKO
(over the phone)
Nothing would've happened, we
wouldn't be together anyways.
Sarah, wake up and realise the
world is not and will ever be the
way we want it, some things can't
happen no matter how hard we try.
SARAH (DISAPPOINTED)
You changed, you wouldn't be so
scared of anything, of anyone.
MIKO
(over the phone) (calm)
I haven't changed, I've become
more mature and back then I was
young, immature and in love...
(sassy) Unlike what your book
said.
SARAH
What do you mean?
MIKO
Let's meet up,
I've got something that belongs
to you.

a tear falls down. it's a necklace, it's their necklace.
The necklace has a pendant, a heart, but half of it

SARAH
Is this really necessary,you have
already pushed me out of your life
let me at least be part of your
memories.
MIKO
Nothing will EVER erease the
memories we've made. So please try
to understand that I'm trying my
best to move on and so should you.
So please keep this necklace and
8. 2.
think of it as if I was giving you
half of me.

chapter you said how you had
doubts about me, about us.
So before I go...I did and I

each side of the bridge and then the title of the short
