PAÚL:
(With an exaggerated French
accent)
We wanted to create a film that was
classic but also humorous. 'The
Masterpiece' is set in 1920's
Paris and is very stylish; we've
showcased the picturesque of the
French city where I grew up.
(AUBINE MOUET WALKS BY WAVING
A BAGUETTE IN THE AIR)
I wanted to express the artistic
culture of my country, and the
passion that we French have for
beautiful things.

2. INT. NATHANIEL'S OFFICE - DAY
Medium shot of NATHANIEL SNOW sitting behind his desk.
Holding a cup of tea with his pinky out, looking very
British.
NATHANIEL:
The Masterpiece IS my masterpiece,
my legacy. When I was a child i
envisioned a tale of woe and
adventure. I wanted to compose a
film that would blow people away in silence of course. As for what
happens , err
(reads off his hand) (to
cameraman)
Cut that bit out. It's about a
struggling artist who finally gets
his big break in the world only to
have it snatched away from him.

3. INT. ON SET - DAY
Cut to Medium shot of PAÚL WATSON sitting down on his
directors chair.

3. PAÚL:
(Looking very pleased with himself
whilst he talks)
I was really looking forward to
creating this film and I was eager
to embrace my role as director.
HOWEVER, (zoom in to PAÚL putting
his hands on his face) this face...
(AUBINE MOUET POKES HIS FACE
WITH THE BAGUETTE WHILST HE IS
TALKING)
is too pretty to stay behind the
camera.
cut to production scenes of paúlphotobombing the film.
CUT TO:
4. INT. COSTUME DEPARTMENT - DAY
JUDE KIRK:
(Looking in the mirror
admiring himself)
My character is THE HERO but also
(dramatic air-grab and whisper) the
victim. he's a man of great talent
and vision, envied by all who cross
his path. Brave as a lion, with a
heart of gold. He has immense
talent, but is far too modest to
boast. cursed to live a life of
poverty with a destiny much greater
than he could ever imagine. people
mocked his dreams as a child, but
as a man he MADE THEM HAPPEN, his
childhood dreams became reality!
(Continues to waffle...)
CUT TO:
5. INT. COSTUME DEPARTMENT - DAY
Surrounded by the costumes and props, JUDE KIRK in the
background admiring himself in the mirror and still talking.
ANASTASIE GERVAIS:
My inspiration for the clothing
came from Google images. I Googled
1920's pretty dresses and copied
the first things that came up
really. (Shrugs)
Interviewer coughs and the crew look at each other and roll
their eyes.
CUT TO:
6. INT. CANTEEN - DAY

4. Drinking coffee, sat at a table.
JULIENNE TESSIER:
(Posh)
Marie, the character whom I
portray, exudes exuberance, she
isn't at all ostentatious! She
falls in love with this mysterious
artist whilst out of the good
nature of her own heart, she is
assisting him with the recovery of
his precious objet d'art.
CUT TO:
7. INT. COSTUME DEPARTMENT - DAY
JUDE KIRK:
(STILL CONTINUING THE SAME
WAFFLE)
His life is like a roller coaster,
twisting and turning, spiraling out
of control and even though he has
no sense of direction, his moral
compass has always pointed due
north. His battle for justice goes
unmatched by ANY man!
CUT TO:
8. INT. INTERVIEW ROOM -DAY
AUBINE MOUET:
(Sitting down in the interview
room)
I'm the bad guy, (evil laugh). The
role I play is a very complex
woman. Whom I believe is more...
misunderstood than evil. Just
because she steals a painting,
commits federal fraud, kills a
bunch of people and tries to take
over the world... again. It doesn't
make her EVIL. (DRAMATIC ZOOM ONTO
HER FACE)OR DOES IT?!
CUT TO:
9. INT. INTERVIEW ROOM -DAY
HARRISON HOLLOWAY:
(Sitting down in the interview
room)
So I supervise the movie. My plan
was to make the best movie I could
with a substantially low budget.
(Looking unamused)
I am not amused. Admittedly, there

5. were quite a number of (pauses)
issues that needed to be resolved.
Mostly that Paul.
PAÚL:
(In the distance)
"IT's PRONOUNCED PAÚL. Emphasis on
the OOL"
HARRISON HOLLOWAY:
(mumbling) amateurs.
The camera crew tried, they really
did try, and the actors were...
acting. (Show shots of acting)
PAUL was being Paul and the only
person who did their job correctly
was me.
CUT TO:
10. INT. ON SET - DAY
PAÚL:
Of course, I had the hardest job of
all. The cast and crew are all
incompetent fools!
CUT TO:
SHOTS OF CAST AND CREW NOT DOING WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED
FINAL WORDS 11. INT. INTERVIEW ROOMS - DAY
JULIENNE TESSIER:
you should watch this film, it's a
work of art!
JUDE KIRK:
(Proudly) It's 58 minutes and
32 seconds of MEEEE!
NATHANIEL:
This is my brainchild.
PAÚL:
(Throwing arms in the air)
