AETNA WINS GREEN AWARD FOR PAPERLESS CONTRACTING
FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS

HARTFORD, Conn., June 22, 2011 – Aetna (NYSE: AET) has been named an
International Data Group (IDG) InfoWorld Green 15 Awards winner for
eliminating paper from the contracting process for health care professionals.
Aetna is the first health insurer to offer electronic contract processing to doctors,
hospitals and other health care facilities.
Using the EchoSign e-signature solution, Aetna and health care professionals

Since 2010, Aetna has sent more than 20,000 agreements electronically.
