2. PROFESSIONAL VIDEO CAMERA
We used a professional video camera which was very
successful as it was simple to use, and I also learnt
how to focus the camera as that was the hardest
part as the focus was manual, but this also gave me
skills for the future as now I can focus using this
camera. We also used a tripod as a support system
for the camera to help steady the shooting and
make our film as high quality as possible. I also had
to learn where all the functions where on the camera
like the record button to film, and also the different
effects on the camera to maxamise the quality of
our film.
3. IMAC
We used an iMac computer to help with our
research and planning, as we leant different
features of this computer. I don’t usually use
this computer, but it had a grab feature which
was different from other computers, and this
helped us with researching our film. It was also
difficult to upload videos and pictures from an
SD card and USB stick, but with help it was
easier.
4. FINAL CUT PRO
Final cut pro is the editing
software we used to edit
our film, It was also very
hard to use, but I
watched videos on
YouTube on how to edit,
and I started to
understand how to use
final cut pro. I learned
how to add music and
text which was the
hardest part in editing, I
also added the videos in
sync with the music
which was also different.
5. EFFECTS
Final cut pro was very beneficial to me and our film as we filmed our film at different times, and
we wanted in dark lighting when we filmed in the light. We used the colour adjustment to
help with this, and achieved and matched all the lighting to one colour.
We used colour, saturation and exposure to create a dark
effect with our film to add to the tension, the use of this
helped this scene in the film match the others, making
them all one colour. We used exposure to do this and
here are the results.
6. For our film we used a grungy effect
called ‘ Bleach Bypass’ which added
an eerie effect to out film opening
and sets the scene. We used this
effect as the films I have analysed
also used similar effects to add
tension due to the dark colours, and
makes the scene and forest look
distorted, also with the juxtaposition
between the dark background and
the red outline of the production
sequence, making it stand out.
7. I also learnt about YouTube and how to upload content
to my account, and I like this method as anyone can
view the content and I can receive feedback easily.
I learnt how to use this website to upload and embed my
content onto my blog easily.
I also used prezi in order to create fun power points and to
represent my research and planning.
I also used blogger to upload my content and upload my
research and planning, and construction. I also learnt to embed
content onto my blog and use different formats to make my
blog appealing.
