3. The programs I used to recreate
the magazine
I used Adobe InDesign CS 5.5 to place and organise the
photos I had and bring all my resources together
I used Adobe Photoshop CS 5.1to edit and make the photos
I look better and did a lot of photoshopping in photo shop

Step 1
The gradient back ground
I used the gradient tool to do this with
colour selector I picked two colours I
wanted to mix, from the plate like so.
Then by doing this I created my
background
Then I selected this tool and I
made a line down the page

Step 2
The masthead and sub mast
head, I recreated these by
using the magic wound tool
Holding down Shift and clicking on
each individual letter in masthead
and sub mast head I copied them
into InDesign where I repositioned
them.

Step 3 Taking the picture of
Harry Jenner “James
Bond”
This is the original photo
I used the magnetic
lasso tool to take away
the background from the
original photo
I made a line
around the outside
of harry then I right
clicked and select
inverse. So I
selected the
background then I
pressed the delete
button

Step 4: photo shopping “Harry”
I now used the spot
healing tool, to remove
the spots and moles
from Harrys skin. I did
this by just clicking on
the moles
I then added shadow to the
photo by using the drop
shadow affect

I started with this picture then used
the magnetic lasso to cut around
the outside of the model take the
background away from the model.
Then I used the magic wand
tool to take away the yellow
from the modal
I then changed the hue, so
the picture was a brighter
bronze colour. So the
picture then look like a coy
of the original
Then I placed the model in the
cover and changed the size
9. Strength and weakness
Strengths
I think the recreation of the woman in the background was a
good skill
Copy of the masthead and sub masthead was very good,
because it looks very much like the original and very
professional
Weaknesses
The James Bond reaction could have been better but it is
very hard to recreate photos because it is hard to get the
same conditions with out notes, so there was alo0t of guess
work.
10. Are you pleased with it?
Yes I'm very pleased with my work because a lot of work has
gone into it and it has coma out very well. It looks like the
original and I have had many comments from people saying
that. So I'm very happy because that was the original task to
make a perfect recreation.
If I was to do this task again I would do nothing different
because everything went very well.
