1) A study tested using videos versus text instructions to teach people in rural Nigeria how to do solar cooking. Videos were found to be more effective at communicating the necessary information and skills.
2) When people watched a video on solar cooking, they were all able to demonstrate how to use a simple solar cooker, but fewer could use a more complex model correctly without additional in-person training.
3) Creating educational videos that could supplement in-person workshops was found to increase the reach of training programs while reducing costs, by providing a reusable resource and virtual demonstrations.
