Who would be the audience for your
        media product?
Target Audience

• My target audience for my media magazine is males and
females aged 16 – 25. I think this target audience is
appropriate to my magazine because of the content. I have
used young/modern acts which will appeal more to a younger
  generation.
This girl suits my target audience as she is around 17
years old. She dresses quite alternative due to the
patterned jumper and over sized denim jacket making
her fit the alternative/indie theme of my magazine. Also
she dresses in dark colours much like the colours I have
used in my magazine (due to none of the colours being
bright and outstanding) The girl is dressed quite simple
due to the black leggings and big jumper although she
made the style her own by adding a tartan scarf and
oversized jacket.
This boy suits my target audience as he is around 19 years
old. He dresses quite alternative due to the beige trousers
and the sleeveless denim jacket. He dresses in faded colours
that are not so bright making him fit with the theme of my
magazine (due to none of the colours being bright and
outstanding) The boy is dressed quite simple to the simple
trousers and t-shirt combination but by adding a sleeveless
denim jacket, dark shoes and backpack he has managed to
make himself dress differently/alternative.
This girl suits my target audience as she is around 16 years
old. Her style is quite common but by adding a dark coat,
light brown shoes and a scarf and hat makes her stand out.
Therefore making her fit in to the alternative/indie theme of
my magazine. Also she dresses in dark colours much like the
colours I have used in my magazine (due to none of the
colours being bright and outstanding) She fits in with the
magazine themes by dressing similar to some of the artists
who would be featured in the magazine.
This boy suits my target audience as he is around 16 years
old. He dresses alternative due to his dark skinny jeans and
hooded denim jacket. His clothing already fits in with my
magazine due to his t-shirt advertising Leeds festival which
my magazine runs articles about. His clothes are dark just like
the colours in my magazine as the alternative genre is quite
dark unlike a dance genre which would be bright.
This girl suits my target audience as she is around
18 years old. She dresses quite alternative due to
the patterned cardigan/belt and old fashioned shirt
making her fit the alternative/indie theme of my
magazine. She dresses quite simple but the
patterned cardigan makes her outfit slightly more
daring and alternative/indie due to her standing out
from the crowd with an interesting cardigan. The
reds and whites in her outfit also fit in with the
colour scheme of my magazine.
This boy suits my target audience as she is around 20 years
old. He dresses alternatively due to the braces on his trousers
looping over his shoulders. This is an uncommon style making
him stand out. Also the denim jacket and dark trousers is a
common look between some of my target audience, this
suggests that he dresses similarly to others who are in my
target audience. Making him fit in with the genre of my
magazine. His colours of clothing are dark much like the
colours of my magazine, where as if he belonged to the
‘dance music’ genre he may be dressed in brighter clothes.
