Tutors can benefit from this tools. 
Tutors can benefit from the administrative tools 
within a VLE. Many VLEs provide information to staff 
about how often and when students have accessed 
a VLE through the tracking tool. A feedback can 
rapidly be distributed to the students individually, 
through the VLE.
A VLE also offers tutors tool to encourage 
collaboration and communication. For 
instance a VLE can provide… 
virtual space where students, staff and other 
learning support specialists can discuss, interact, 
share learning, ideas and materials.
To ensure students actively 
participate in face-to-face sessions 
Through online discussions it is possible to help 
student engage more actively with a course and with 
the learning process at a time and place that is 
convenient for both tutor and student. Part-time 
students often find difficulty in working in groups with 
full-time students studying the same course, 
especially when this requires face-to-face meetings. 
VLEs provides an area to work together whitout the 
necessity of physically meeting.
A community of learners can… 
Develop an area to listen and debate key areas for 
their studies at a place and time convenient. They 
can greatly benefit from using asynchronous online 
discussions to deepen their knowledge and create a 
community of practice. They can also develop 
between distance and campus-based students.
VLEs can help you to save time 
by… 
Helping you to change the focus of your time since 
much time is lost through students copying 
complicated diagrams and references and general 
administration, these can be transferred to the VLE. 
This also reduce the time for photocopying- Once 
you have created your materials online, you can 
easily update them with a few mouse clicks.
Summary 
In this lesson we take a closer look to the VLEs, this makes the topic more clear. I think VLEs are 
very helpful for students and teachers, the way these tool helps the students by creating a virtual 
classroom where students and teachers can communicate with teach other, share information, 
elaborate cooperative homework, catching up without going out of your house or having trouble 
with the organization of the meeting. And not only creates a virtual spaces but also this tool helps 
the student and teacher with the reading materials or assessments, this saves time from taking 
photocopies, searching for a book, reproducing your own works and exercises, and sharing your 
information. As I was saying in the last summary, as much as it looks like this tools will replace 
traditional schools as we know them now, I don’t think that will happen because schools have the 
important area to develop that is the social intelligence, we get this by interacting with people, and 
even If we can do that on a virtual platform too, it doesn’t work the same. Students that work on a 
VLE can help each other and create discussions, remind each other about an assessment and 
answer the doubts that the others have. Once you are using a VLE, this tool changes your mind 
about the organization of the time while you are studying. I actually tried so hard to get used to this 
part, mostly because this kind of VLE doesn’t remind you about the assessments you have to 
deliver today, so I personally was struggling with the homework by writing them and making a 
schedule and a calendar, so I could remember exactly what to do and when. I feel like VLEs are 
perfect for people that has no time to be a complete-time student, but at the same time you cant 
waste your time was you thought you could, Is not that I thought this would be easier, but 
sometimes you just don’t realize how messy your schedules are. I strongly recommend people that 
is studying online, to try to organize their time and, not only is important to make the schedule but 
your really have to stick to them. Online learning is a process to be followed, you can’t do the 
things by your own methods, not if you are disorganized or you tend to get too confident about your 
tasks.

  • 2. Tutors can benefit from this tools. Tutors can benefit from the administrative tools within a VLE. Many VLEs provide information to staff about how often and when students have accessed a VLE through the tracking tool. A feedback can rapidly be distributed to the students individually, through the VLE.
  • 3. A VLE also offers tutors tool to encourage collaboration and communication. For instance a VLE can provide… virtual space where students, staff and other learning support specialists can discuss, interact, share learning, ideas and materials.
  • 4. To ensure students actively participate in face-to-face sessions Through online discussions it is possible to help student engage more actively with a course and with the learning process at a time and place that is convenient for both tutor and student. Part-time students often find difficulty in working in groups with full-time students studying the same course, especially when this requires face-to-face meetings. VLEs provides an area to work together whitout the necessity of physically meeting.
  • 5. A community of learners can… Develop an area to listen and debate key areas for their studies at a place and time convenient. They can greatly benefit from using asynchronous online discussions to deepen their knowledge and create a community of practice. They can also develop between distance and campus-based students.
  • 6. VLEs can help you to save time by… Helping you to change the focus of your time since much time is lost through students copying complicated diagrams and references and general administration, these can be transferred to the VLE. This also reduce the time for photocopying- Once you have created your materials online, you can easily update them with a few mouse clicks.
  • 7. Summary In this lesson we take a closer look to the VLEs, this makes the topic more clear. I think VLEs are very helpful for students and teachers, the way these tool helps the students by creating a virtual classroom where students and teachers can communicate with teach other, share information, elaborate cooperative homework, catching up without going out of your house or having trouble with the organization of the meeting. And not only creates a virtual spaces but also this tool helps the student and teacher with the reading materials or assessments, this saves time from taking photocopies, searching for a book, reproducing your own works and exercises, and sharing your information. As I was saying in the last summary, as much as it looks like this tools will replace traditional schools as we know them now, I don’t think that will happen because schools have the important area to develop that is the social intelligence, we get this by interacting with people, and even If we can do that on a virtual platform too, it doesn’t work the same. Students that work on a VLE can help each other and create discussions, remind each other about an assessment and answer the doubts that the others have. Once you are using a VLE, this tool changes your mind about the organization of the time while you are studying. I actually tried so hard to get used to this part, mostly because this kind of VLE doesn’t remind you about the assessments you have to deliver today, so I personally was struggling with the homework by writing them and making a schedule and a calendar, so I could remember exactly what to do and when. I feel like VLEs are perfect for people that has no time to be a complete-time student, but at the same time you cant waste your time was you thought you could, Is not that I thought this would be easier, but sometimes you just don’t realize how messy your schedules are. I strongly recommend people that is studying online, to try to organize their time and, not only is important to make the schedule but your really have to stick to them. Online learning is a process to be followed, you can’t do the things by your own methods, not if you are disorganized or you tend to get too confident about your tasks.
