3. An online community where teahers of all Euroepe and beyond can
meet colleagues, exchange ideas and practices, attend free training
opportunities and carry out collaborative projects at distance in a safe
environment.

4. eTwinning aims at
PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION
Integrating ICT in traditional teaching methods, fostering project
based learning, cross-curricular collaboration and student-centered
learning.
TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Offering many online and on site professional development
opportunities (Learning Events/Webinars, PDW, Multilateral
Seminars) and peer learning in Groups and Projects.
EUROPEAN DIMENSION
Strengthening the feeling of European Citizenship in young
generations and fostering school internationalization.

Connect) free for all registered eTwinning, both for
dissemination/training purposes in eTwinning Live and for
partner communication and collaboration within projects and

and NSS

11. eTwinning projects for distance collaboration among teachers and students from
the same or different countries
•Total flexibility: you choose the subject, the type and complexity of the activities
and the length of the collaboration. Almost immediate approval!
•No deadlines or bureaucratic procedures to register and activate a project!
•Once you register a project, you will have access to your own TwinSpace, a
secured online platform with ICT tools, where you can invite your pupils and other
teachers to work together. You can decide what parts should be public and what
private, you can assign Teachers’ and Pupils’ roles.
•An integrated videoconferencing tool and chat for live meetings!
•Technical & pedagogical support, helpdesk line
•Quality Certification that can lead to publications (paper or/and online), case
studies, National and European Prizes.

eTwinning means…
• Project based learning
• Cross curricular and close to real life contest
• Use of communication language in a real and stimulating environment
• Use of ICT as a means of communication and creation/production
• Group work, students take on responsibilities and tasks, learn to meet
deadlines and to collaborate in order to reach a shared outcome
• Peer learning
• Use of a variety of tools, channels, styles for communication and
collaboration with partners according to the contest and adequate to the
task given (various 2.0 tools, ppt, video, photo story, cartoon, text etc.)
• Encourages students’ active participation in all phases of the project from
planning to evaluation, fostering their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit
• Collaboration in a multilingual and multicultural contest
• Informed and safe use of Internet as source of information and means of
communication

parallel sperimentations in classes:

other innovative methodology both at national & international level
•Teachers from a same school who want share practicess and materials,
