2. FIRST
Firstly I took pictures of Nida and Leisha as I was going to
have a close up of half of their faces next to each other with
me and Brooke in the middle. However, while I was making
this I wasn’t able to make it look the way I wanted it to so I
decided to change my idea.
My idea was to have just Nida in the frame with red eyes to
look evil and no one else.
3. SECOND
While making my film poster we was also filming for our short film, but while doing this we
found that our film did not create enough tension like a horror film should. So, I then had to
change my film poster as a whole.
However, luckily we kept the title of our film the same but changed our story line slightly to
create more tension.
Therefore, I had to change the character Nida in my film poster to Leisha as Leisha turned
into the evil one in our new story line.
4. THIRD
I firstly cut out a picture of Leisha where she
has a slight smile on her face. Then I edited
the red eyes to make her look evil. Once I
done this I moved her on to a blank canvas.
I then found a font for the film title
‘Oblivious’ which I made on dafont.com I
then personally made a billing block and
added in the age restriction.
5. FOURTH
I then started to edit Leisha’s face to
make her look more psychological to
fit the horror genre. I done this by
using the smudge filter. However,
before this I tried out many filter and
found that this one was best. I think
this one was best as it made it seem
more scary and looked like scars on
her face.
I also made the saturation and
brightness of the picture higher. I used
the blending option of outer glow
which gave me the black pixelated
spots around Leisha.
6. FOURTH
I finally decided to give my film poster
more of a horror look and make it
more colourful by adding in the red
reflection.
I done this by duplicating the layer
and changing it to red. I then tried out
many ways that I could put this but I
thought a reflection would fill in the
space to make the film poster look
more full and eye catching to my
potential audience.
8. FINAL DRAFT
I then thought that I could make the
background more imaginative and
interesting. So, I decided to take a picture
of a blank white brick wall, I increased the
brightness and lowered the contrast to
manipulate the picture to all fit the same
lighting. I also decided to change my title
slightly as I thought it looked more
profession with the red writing behind
the black.
I finally added ‘Leisha Burnett’ on to the
left of her as I thought this made it look
professional also as that is what I found
most film posters do.
