2. rocksound
The title of this double page spread is disjointed but it fits in well with the image of
the artist as she looks sort of grungy. The colour scheme of black, white and red
works well together as the artist is also dressed in black white and red. The name of
the artist “Lily Allen” and the name of the writer is highlighted in red showing that
these are the key parts of the double page spread. The layout of this page is called
bleeding as the image has taken up the background for the whole 2 pages and the
title starts on the left side of the page and bleeds onto the right side of the page
slightly. There is a large “I” at the start of the article showing that this is where we
start reading from.
3. Q
We can tell from the picture of the artist Lady Gaga that she is of high significance because
the picture of her takes up the whole of the first page of this double page spread. The
picture is black and white which ties in with the colour scheme of red, white and grey. The
large L takes up the majority of the page and this highlights that the article is about Lady
Gaga and the L is red which ties in with the Q magazine theme. The large S at the start of
one of the paragraphs suggests that this is the main part of the article or an important
paragraph. The logo of the magazine is in the bottom right hand corner of the page and
this is just highlighting what magazine it is.
4. Classic rock
The colour scheme on this double page spread is different the usual as most colour
schemes are red black or white and this is grey white and purple. The large “D” shows
that this is where we start reading from- this is the start of the article. The layout of this
page is called bleeding as the image has taken up the background for the whole 2 pages
and the title starts on the right side of the page and bleeds onto the left side of the page
slightly. The name of the artist and the most important bits of text are highlighted in
purple or white.
