music magazines all the time,
closely followed by 30% regularly
buying magazines. This is good
as it shows my magazine will be
successful especially with the
people who have filled out the
questionnaire as I am making it
to what they prefer.
3. How much would you spend on a
music magazine?
My results for this question of my
audience research shows that £2-£3
and £3-£4 were the most popular
chosen sections. I will most likely
find a price with in this range to set
my magazine at. £3.50 is in the
middle of these prices, and I feel is a
reasonable price for a music
magazine, therefore I will most likely
place the price at £3.50.
4. What genre of music do you
prefer?
The most popular result from my
audience that I asked is pop as it has
roughly 80% of the result. This
means that I will definitely include
pop music and base my magazine
around this theme. It is important
that I choose this genre as to make
my magazine successful, I have to
create what my audience wants
which in this case is a pop magazine.
5. Does a bright colour scheme
encourage you to buy a magazine?
95% of answers given agreed with
a bright colour scheme, because
of this I am definitely going to
include a bright colour scheme. I
think it is important to do this
because it will make the magazine
stand out when in the shops and
will draw the purchaser and
readers attention.
6. Would you prefer numerous small
images or one large image on the front
cover?
One large image is the most
popular out of the two with
roughly 65%, I agree with this as
one image is a well used
convention on magazines so
therefore will make my magazine
look proffesional.
7. Do plugs on the front cover
encourage you to read inside?
75% of people agreed that plugs
encourage them to read inside
of the magazine. Because of this
I will definitely include many
large plugs on the cover to
attract the reader to read more.

useful?
Most of the people who
carried out the questionnaire
believed that a contents page
is useful, due to this I am
going to make sure my
contents page is clear and
easy to use and read and is at
the highest quality possible.

photos on a contents page. This
is also a regular convention so I
will definitely include a couple
of photos.

Interview is shown to be the
most popular choice within my
audience will almost all of the
vote. Due to this result my
double page spread will include
am interview with the artist
instead of it all being an
informative text.

popular choice for the content of
my double page spread.

Photo shoot is definitely the
most popular photo style for
my double page spread with
roughly 70% of the vote.
Therefore, I will include photos
with a photo shoot theme
instead of taking them in an
outside environment.
