1. Evaluation question 3
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Throughout my task of creating a web pop up, a sponsorship sequence and 2
adverts, I used audience feedback for a select few things, for example, I used it to
choose the title of my campaign, to choose suitable colors for my campaign, to
advertise and for this specific question I got feedback on the entirety of my
construction.
Campaign Name
I used audience feedback in order to give my
campaign a name, I did this by creating a few
names and putting them on one sheet of
paper, I then got my target audience to create
a tally and put a strike next to the name
which they liked best. What I learned from
this experience is it is more beneficial to use
your target audience however I think I should
of provided a summary on my brand and
what I wanted it to be about in order for it to be more accurate, the selection of
my brand name was solely based on what my target audience thought sounded
the best.
Color Scheme
I used audience feedback in order to decide between pink or black for the color
scheme of my logo, although pink was the winner, my findings went unrecorded.
For this feedback I approached my target audience to get the most accurate
feedback that I could. The format of the feedback was pretty much the same as
the format for the campaign name, I simply showed the black version of the logo
and then the pink version, and then would get the audience to put a strike next to
the one which they preferred. Clearly through the difference of creating one in
black and one in pink, and actually having results, color scheme is important.
General Feedback
I used audience feedback in order to retrieve information on my adverts and
ancillary tasks. I did this in the form of a questionnaire, asking questions on
every part of my construction. The questions were very similar for every topic, I
think I could of perhaps branched out more. In total, 11 of these questionnaires
were completed, I think this would have been better if an even number had been
completed (which was my intentions) for the results, however it is fine. I found
that through my questionnaires, on average, people gave my adverts an 8 on how
interesting it was, a number I was very happy with. Also, all of the people who
completed the questionnaire said that all 3 topics were aimed at females, which
was a completely correct answer. However, the answers differed when asked to
provide the age the 3 topics were aimed at. The most popular answer for this
2. was 16-20’s, which was correct. The other answers which circulated were
around this bracket, simply ranging higher up the scale than 20.
3. Facebook Fan Page
I got audience feedback from this by gaining likes on a page that I created for my
online clothing store on facebook. From the likers that have liked, it struck my
notice that they were all of my target audience age. By creating this facebook fan
page it provided free advertisement, and allowed my audience to engage with my
clothing line. Also by doing this it branched out my clothing line to an age
appropriate social networking site to the target audience, which I desired which
increased my brands visibility.
