The higher the number the higher the octane
rating and the better it burns in your car.
Straight chain octane has a lower octane
rating. Branched octane burns more
efficiently.
7. Additives added to fuels to increase the
octane rating.
Gasohol: 10% ethanol and 90 % gasoline
works in most engines.
More complete combustion or lower the
amount of air pollutants.
8. 1) Add more branched chain octane.
2) Add MTHF which can be made from
renewable resources.
