Gas Additive System Improves Combustion Efficiency and Reduces Emissions
1. Gas Additive System Patents Pending
Adding small quantities (1% – 15%) of high octane fuel such as hydrogen, HHO,
CNG/LPG improve the combustion efficiency of primary fuel (diesel). This has been
observed in many engines worldwide since 1980’s…..but not consistently…..
The RON is increased and for a engine fitted with ECU and a ‘knock’ sensor –
Similarly to using 98 RON(4star) instead of 94 RON(2star) fuel will improve
performance on some petrol engines where the ECU can adapt to the better fuel.
An ‘Atkinson Cycle’ effect is provided by the ECU by modifying the
injection timing - thus improving the combustion efficiency
WHY ?
HOW…
Consistent fuel combustion properties are required. The
proportion of additive fuel must be maintained at all speeds/loads
The combustion property of duel fuel varies according to the ratio...
3. The AddGas System is unique because a precise and exact amount of gas is
delivered which responds to change in engine load and speed instantaneously.
The system uses standard LPG injectors or a gas valve specifically manufactured
and distributed for AddGas.
Tests and trials of this system have shown significant reductions in harmful
emissions such as diesel particulate matter and NOX which form the major
contributor to ‘smog’ in our cities – whilst at the same time provide net fuel savings
of up to 20% and presents a commercial proposition for truck operators.
TheVan and Honda CDTi tests have shown 12.6% net fuel saving over 30K miles in
general driving.
Truck trials using the Pilot Prototype system have exceeded 18% savings at
constant speed (motorway) and above 12% general driving (‘trunking’).
The ‘unseen’ fine particulate emitted by standard diesels also contribute to
‘smog’, affect our wildlife – even Bees – and is a health risk to HUMANS!
As low-cost option, the target market for the Gas Additive System is high fuel use
engines such as HGV/LGV, locomotives and large generators.
4. The Gas Additive System
Uniquely provides an instantaneous measurement of fuel flow
Maintains consistent proportion of gas injection at all engine speeds/loads
The AddGas system is contained in a single cab mounted box with display
Very low cost system providing net fuel savings on modern engines (EURO 3+)
Uses standard LPG tank installation (80 – 120 litre LPG per 600 litre diesel)
Minimal wiring required – easy to install – a single wire to the engine
Self – fit for operator or LPG Installer
Can also work for petrol engines
Cuts CO2 (10 tons/year/truck) and harmful emissions (soot)
