• 0 up to 7: acid

A change in one pH unit is 10X as acidic or basic
pH of 2 is 10X more acidic than a pH of 3
pH of 2 is 100X more acidic than a pH of 4
When pH is too low fish egg development is
impaired and increases the amount of
dissolved metals which can become toxic.
When pH is too high the water can dissolve
organic materials including skin and scales.
Drinking water pH between 6.5 and 8.5
Most fish tolerate range between 5 to 9
