The purpose of this study is to know the banker’s perspective about coronavirus. In this study, we took sample from all govt. & private banks employees of Pakistan e.g. SBP, NBP, BOP, ABL, UBL, MCB, Meezan Bank, Bank Alfalah etc. Data collected from the employees of all these banks through a questionnaire & by taking some face to face interviews. Questionnaire sent to them by using WhatsApp & Facebook messengers. Different charts & percentage analysis were used to get results of this study. It was concluded that protective measures and safety equipment provided to most of the banks while no online seminar conducted about COVID-19 for bankers and relaxation provided only to females while most of the males are on duty as it seems that this virus affects only females. Bankers said that the counter dealing should be stopped while giving their suggestion about COVID-19.

ABSTRACT

1. Introduction
A novel coronavirus (nCoV-2019) is a virus which was not previously identified. It belongs to a large
family of viruses from which, some circulates in animals like cats, bats, while other become a cause of
respiratory illness in humans [1]. This pandemic first out broke in Wuhan city of china in December
2019, now it spread in almost 210 countries.
It causes death of almost 165,741 people & almost 2,418,592 people are affected from this virus. The
mortality rate from this virus is low. The people with poor immune system have more chances to get
effected with this virus. Effected People with strong immune system can be recovered soon [2].
The symptoms of this disease are fever, cough, flu, muscle pain, diarrhea, abdominal pain & difficult
breathing in most severe cases. This virus spreads from one person to another by contacting with an

affected person or through touching a surface which contains virus on it [3]. Recommended measures to
avoid this infection include covering sneeze & cough with inner elbow or tissue, maintain physical
distance from infected person, frequent hand washing, use of sanitizer & to avoid social gathering [4].In
Pakistan also condition is becoming severe day by day. Public is not taking seriously this pandemic. Govt.
of Pakistan is also taking necessary actions like lockdown in whole city to avoid the severe conditions
which is in different countries like America, Spain, Italy, China, Iran etc. [5].
2. Objective
The goal of this study is to know the banker’s perspective about coronavirus

A. Sample and Data Collection
In this study, we took sample from all govt. & private banks employees of Pakistan e.g. SBP, NBP, BOP,
ABL, UBL, MCB, Meezan Bank, Bank Alfalah etc. Data collected from the employees of all these banks
through a questionnaire & by taking some face to face interviews. Questionnaire sent to them by using
WhatsApp & Facebook messengers. Sample size was about 629, from which only 286 bankers did
response.
4. Statistical Analysis
Different charts & percentage analysis were used to get results of this study.
5. RESULT AND DISCUSSION
Results of our study regarding corona virus from banker’s perspective are listed below:

This figure shows that according to 85% bankers, their banks have taken protective measures to save them
from corona virus, so it shows that mostly banks are using protective measures.

can work easily in this situation.

In this figure, we can identify that according to 79% bankers, no online informative seminars have been
conducting since these days to aware bankers about the effects of these cruel virus.

only females can be affected from covid-19 or male too.

This graph shows that mostly bankers gave us many suggestions to avoid covid-19 in banks, e.g. banks
should take in consideration rotation of employees with limited staff, over the counter dealing should be
stopped, protective measures should be strong etc.
6. Conclusion
From this research we come to conclude that protective measures and safety equipment provided to most
of the banks while no online seminar conducted about COVID-19 for bankers and relaxation provided
only to females while most of the males are on duty as it seems that this virus affects only females.
Bankers said that the counter dealing should be stopped while giving their suggestion about COVID-19.
7. Future Perspective
In future, study should be conducted on the awareness of corona virus from the bankers
