Student teacher Paradox
Teacher
• refrain from colors, sober, serious
– (Blackl& White)
Students
• World is colorful
• Young , dynamic, Jolly, techno friendly.
They like color, animation, music
Content creation tips-1
• Keep long term vision, you are a global teacher. Make your
own channel, your own brand
• Technology, Education video are watched by needy students
only. So don’t loose heart if views are less (they are)
• Use light or white background and dark colored text (or vice
versa).
• Use proper fonts, sizes and colors (two, three)
• Use proper spacing
• Learn PPT and use suitable animation and designs
Content creation tips-2
• Use snipping tool for copying images available on anywhere and
paste in PPT, its already available in windows
• Use proper bullets whenever possible
• Use of audio, music, animation, transition makes the video
interesting. All are available in Power Point Presentation . Use it
creatively.
• Don’t say Good morning, Good Evening in video. Saying Hi, Hello
students is better
• Preferably use image and animation on each slide
• Watch some videos on the topic you want to create. You get many
tips to follow or avoid
Content creation tips-3
 Making PPT for video is a bit different than PPT for presentation.
 Video should not feel like a PPT presentation, it should feel like
a video
 Use more diagrams, tables, animate them
 Don’t show all information on slide at once. Use animation to
show it step by step as and when needed
 No need of Page number(timeline is available in video)
 Don’t show time and date on PPT, it will look old after some
time.
• Speak with excitation, energy, passion. Add humor when
possible (its acting)
• Don’t limit yourself to your college students. Make video to be
global
• Title slide should be colorful, with Short but significant bold
title. Add suitable image, your name, email, your photo
• Market yourself. Be global. Avoid local language for
professional video
• Communication skill should improved in order to be global
Content creation tips-4
Content creation tips-5
• Think out of box in order to succeed in video creation
• Don’t follow conventional rules made by senior people, they
may be outdated
• Taste of young students is different. They like movies,
excitement, music
• Reverse mentoring is needed in video making.
• Learn from youngsters. Don’t hesitate.
• Life long learning is applied in true sense here.
• Students are tech & media savvy. We need to teach them with
the technology they like
• Keep in mind that text used in PPT/Video is readable on smart
phone
• Play PPT on smartphone using Google meet to ensure visibility
• You may record your online lecture using screen recorder and
upload after proper editing
Content creation tips-6
Video Uploading
• Youtube is best free place to upload and manage videos
• Crate HD/ full HD videos. Uploading is no issue now. You may
use college Wi-Fi for high speed uploading. Low resolution
videos are not liked by audience
• Speak at your natural pace. No need to be very slow or very
fast. Viewer can adjust video playback speed as per his liking
• Learn youtube upload settings. Provide proper Video title,
description, tags, hashtags, end screens, i-buttons
• Keeps comments turned ON
