2. THE BOYFRIEND
The way that the actor dresses in general is
exactly how we wanted the actor to look in
terms of style and general attire. The actor,
Ed, usually dresses in black skinny jeans, a
white t-shirt, and chunky boots. He
sometimes wears a leather jacket, and
sometimes a baggy jumper or a flannel shirt
over his white shirt. This style reflects the
indie genre perfectly, and the way his
different outfits work pull together our
narrative and band shots well. We wanted
this character to look very indie as then it is
reflective of the genre of music video, so that
there was a clear link between the music and
the characters.
3. THE GIRLFRIEND
The girlfriend will be in clothes that are
similar to that of the boyfriends, to show that
they share similar interests, and she will be
wearing comfy clothes to show that they have
been together a long time as they are
comfortable around each other. This is also
quite easy to achieve as I own clothes similar
to what we are trying to achieve. We want the
girlfriend to look slightly out of place, so we
know that they are interested in the same
thing but she is quite mish matched in the
way she dresses, as though she doesn't’t really
follow certain styles etc.
4. EXTRAS/BAND MEMBERS
For the extras and band members they
will also be wearing their normal day to
day clothes, as like Ed, they all wear
relatively indie clothes anyway. The lead
singer, Laurence, regularly wears baggy
grey tops with a small waistcoat with it,
with skinny black jeans and pointy boots.
This style is clearly heavily influenced by
the indie fashion as is inspired by many
different band members such as
Mumford & Sons and Biffy Clyro. The
Drummer, Alex also dresses quite indie
too, wearing skinny jeans and baggy
tshirts with cardigans.
