This report analyzes compatibility between GSM and CDMA-PAMR mobile networks operating in adjacent frequency bands near 915 MHz. It finds that coordination is required to prevent interference, as an uncoordinated approach could interfere with some GSM base station receivers. The report also determines necessary separation distances between base stations to avoid interference depending on factors like duplex filter characteristics and permissible interference levels. It concludes that the 917-921 MHz band can be used for CDMA-PAMR if special measures like coordination and mitigation are taken based on actual separation distances.
