someone using spoken language or noises in
order to speak or communicate with someone.
These messages include any noise that is
vocalised.
• Non-verbal communication such as sign
language and body language are forms of
communicating a message to someone with
out making a noise or talking.
3. Good communication
• Good communication skills are skills that facilitate
people to communicate effectively with one
another. Effectual communication engages the
choice of the best communications channel, the
technical know-how to use the channel, the
presentation of information to the target
audience, and the skill to understand responses
received from others. Self
development, interpersonal skills, mutual
understanding, mutual cooperation and trust is
also important to set a complete channel of most
effective and winning communication skills.

• Swearing or shouting
• Using jargon/confusing someone

• Listening when they are speaking to you

5. Consequences of bad communication
• Consequences of bad communication (viewed as a
wrong communication or a missing communication):
1. not meeting of projects' deadlines and goals (within
budget and within time);
2; errors and defects during the phases of a project
(especially if it is a research project or a new
product/service development project) with added costs
and wastes of resources;
3. slower building of trust and esteem among team
members;

• Soler theory refers non-verbal communication
skills i.e body language that help you create
the right impression when talking to someone.
E.g. a job interview. This theory was
developed by a man named egan who
believed we could use some micro skills to
better our non-verbal communicatio.
