"Madonna" and "Venus" from Two Different Periods Essay
"Madonna" and "Venus" From Two Different Periods I have always been intrigued by the many depictions of "Madonna" and "Venus" therefore I
chose to compare and contrast Parmigianino's "Madonna of the Long Neck" from the mannerist style of the later Renaissance and Titian's "Venus of
Urbino" from Venetian Renaissance. First I will tell you a little bit about the historical background of both paintings, then I will prove my thesis by
talking about exemplifies two artist's style and the movement it represents, and considering the differences between two artwork in artistic styles,
subject matter, and formal approaches.
First, "Madonna of the Long Neck" was created at the Mannerist period in 1535 by Parmigianino sized 7' x 4'. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

When looking at "Madonna with the Long Neck," the colors are subdued and dull but his use of color with the High Renaissance formula – the primary
colors. In terms of mannerism, elongation was thought to create a more elegant and graceful look, which may be one of the main reasons why
Mannerist art contained a lot of unnatural looking human figures. In the painting, I see a lot of elongation being used in different areas as well as
oddly proportioned bodies. Madonna herself has a very extended neck, which holds up her smaller sized head making her look unusual and
abnormal. Below her neck, I see her unnaturally slanted shoulders and her elongated fingers resting on her chest. Her legs also appear to be very
long as they look much bigger than her narrow upper body. This makes for Madonna being a very colossal and dominant figure. Furthermore, when
comparing Madonna to the women who stand beside her, Madonna is huge. In Madonna's lap is her baby Christ who also has unnaturally long
features. The body of baby Christ is so long especially his legs. It looks like a much older boy. I think Pontormo wanted the audience to focus more on
the bodies and the drama, rather than the specific details.
In "Venus of Urbino," Titian formed a good composition that balances somewhat the delicate static character of the reclining Venus with a consistent
dynamic component. The painting

Jackson Pollock, Green Poles
Pollock, Green Poles, canvas, 20th century

Seemingly chaotic paintings of Jackson Pollock have been considered easy to replicate, if not to forge. Green Poles, assumed as one of his last
paintings in the mid 1950's, surfaced for sale and is under scrutiny for authentication. It is a medium size painting, 109 cm by 86 cm.
Fig.1. Jackson Pollock, Number 7, 1952. Enamel and oil on canvas, 134.9 x 101.6 cm. New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
A number of paints used for this work are identical to what Pollock was known to use. However, a thinner layer of deep green used underneath
viscous splashes of black is unidentified both for its source and from the artists' other works. A smudged fingerprint in the same color appears on the...

Scarey Emotions from the Oil Painting Joseph Sturge’ by...
In this essay am going to talk about an oil painting called 'Joseph Sturge' by an artist 'Alexander
Rippingille'. 'Joseph Sturge' is a businessperson, English Quaker, abolitionist, activist and leader
of the 'Birmingham Anti– Slavery Sociality' created in '1826'. 'Joseph Sturge' worked in 'radical
political' actions supporting the pacifism, working class right and finally universal emancipation of
slaves. Year 1830 'Joseph Sturge' published books that contained information about apprenticeship
system in Jamaica this helped persuade the British parliament to adopt an earlier full emancipation
date. Finally, he would find villages free with 'Baptists' to provide the living area for free slaves.
It was the positioning of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

innocence. The other female statue represents the charity offering comfort and succour to two Afro–

death on. You can see that the bible is in thepainting on the right by his arm also on the statue this
suggests that where ever he goes the bible comes with him because of his strong faith with god.
Finally the bible is on the statue to show people that he carried it all the time with him.
The contrast of the painting is very
brightly coloured on the man. I
think this is trying to suggest Joseph
Sturge is more important because he
is very bright this means people will
look at Joseph Sturge first before
the black person.
In 1826 'Joseph Sturge' was the 'secretary' of the new 'Anti–Slavery in Birmingham' and he
became influenced in a man called 'James Cropper'. The reason he was so strong because he has a
strong 'Christian faith' this is want drove him to have good efforts. When he was working in the
Anti Slavery Society his first ever task was to change the society to the attitude of abolitionists.
Joseph Sturge shows that no mercy is to be done to stop preparation of slaves gradually having
freedom.
In those days people in the country was asked if they would 'promote' and

Alpine Landscape: An Oil Painting By Julius Lange
Alpine Landscape is an oil painting by German artist Julius Lange at 1866. It is considered that this painting might be based on sketches from 1856
or may date from a later trip to Switzerland. The painting basically shows a scene of mountains and a lake from a lakeside. Mountains and clouds in the
sky are presented in the background. On the foot of the mountain is a lake surrounded by disorganized rocks and plants. Some rocks are stretching all
the way to the center of the lake, where some people and their cattle are standing. The whole painting don't have any special focus because the artist
didn't give any part more attention.
The whole scene seems clear and calm in a sunny weather. The sunlight comes from the top part of the sky behind trees around the lake on the right
side of the painting. Contrasting modeling of light and shadows are created on the peaks of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Horizontal line is near the lake side around the mountain foot, vanishing point is near the center of the painting. It gives viewers the feeling that they
are standing on the lakeside.
Line are used to narrate details most of the time in this painting. Boundaries between figures are always blending into shadows or shown by difference
of colors instead of outlining their forms. Brushstrokes can seldom be seen in this artwork. This oil painting has a shiny appearance but the pigment are
not painted in thick layers with texture on the surface.
Colors used in this painting are mostly blue and green tone. All colors are natural without dramatic effect or contrast. The mountain in the distance
has a blurry effect with a light purple tone color, which shows the atmospheric effect. It also create feeling of contrast of weather between warmer
foreground with creatures and cooler background with only rocks and snow on the peaks. This painting gives viewers a scene of Alps with a peaceful
quiet and enjoyable

The Renaissance And Its Influence On Classical Culture
The renaissance began in Italy and spanned over 150 years, from the late 13th century to the early 17th century. It was a time of great invention and
discovery. Renaissance means "rebirth" in French, as it was a rebirth of interest in classical culture. During this era the focus became more human
centered, known as classical humanism. This was an occasion of great innovation, scientific discovery and creativity. During this period linear
perspective began to be used in visual art to create an idea of space. It is said that Brunelleschi developed or began using linear perspective to give a
realistic appearance in his work. During the renaissance the culture began to be more analytical and mathematical so realism and naturalism were ...

The 17th century through the early 18th century was the baroque period – a period of Roman–Catholic renewal. They commissioned artists to ornate the
churches with beautiful works of art in hope of bring the people to inspire faith and religious commitment. Many things, including the Roman Catholic
Church and politics, influenced the baroque art. The protestant reformation was beginning and the Catholic Church was trying to prevent the spread
of this. The grandeur of this era was greatly influenced by the Spanish and French kingdoms that commissioned artists to do work in many of their
chapels and cathedrals. The style was characterized by intense light, dramatic use of color, drastic contrast of light and shadow, known as chiaroscuro
Many of the artists painted scenes of martyrdom and death and tried to draw the viewer in the scene. Often the artists would draw on biblical themes
and stories. The artist's most popular mediums were fresco and oil paint on canvas.
There are many similarities between these two periods; often artists during the baroque history were trying to recreate renaissance pieces of artwork.
These two episodes are sequential as they share many things with variation. During both stages fresco painting were popular to adorn chapels and oil
on canvas. Both emphasized emotion and feeling through their artwork, while the later focused more on the drama in the subject they were trying to
show. Most often both periods showed movement and emotion in

Art Analysis: Oil On Paintings
The medium of this particular piece looks to be oil on canvas. The composition is pretty simple with the main focus being an item of some sort being
dangled and a portrait of one bird. There is a multitude of colors present in this piece. It is bright and soft with light and dark tones. The artist has
applied the paint onto the canvas in many different angles and directions which makes the painting appear to have overlapping colors, coarseness and
uneven texture. In the middle of the painting, there is a small horizontal space that was intentionally left blank. This separates the upper and lower
portions of the painting. I have not noted any similarities in the upper and lower quadrants, but the artist was still able to bring about unity

Oil Painting, The Unknown: Robert Bean
The Unknown
As I walked to The Art museum to observe a few of the art work. There were many canvases, but one particular canvas that caught my attention was an
oil painting. The oil painted canvas is of a realistic mysterious woman and a phonograph, by the artist named Robert Bean. The woman shown in this
painting has short dark brown hair with a long black beautiful one shoulder dress; her skin color is very light that gives that beautiful glow. Her long
black dress has a mixture of dark blue and white. She is standing with her arms semi–crossed with one hand holding a small white fan. The small fan
has a design of brown flowers. She is standing sideways on the right of the canvas with a piece of light green fabric around her arms; the light green
material has a tent of light blue and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The majestic and mysterious masquerade ball was the inspiration of this painting. The masquerade ball was developed in Europe in the 14th and 15th
century; masquerade balls were held for the high class in the century of the Renaissance. The elegancy in costumes and masks in the masquerade ball
inspired the painting as the result of the woman with the mask and a beautiful one shoulder black dress.
In my opinion, this work of art was truly amazing with the touch of darkness, mystery, and elegancy. The artist used the color mixture very well for that
old antique look. The artist did very well in painting the background black and the woman black dress to distinguish the dress apart from the
background. The phonograph is also distinguished from the background by painting white around the device. It gives that feeling of romance and
darkness at the same time. The painting leaves the viewers of wanting more which the artist should had incorporated more things rather than just the
woman and the phonograph. In the end, the masterpiece is absolutely amazing with a touch of the old century and modern

Jan Van Eyck Madonna in the Church
Madonna in a Church is a small oil panel on oak by Flemish painter Jan van Eyck. Madonna in a church was made between c. 1438–1440. Van Eyck
has been traditionally credited with the invention of painting in oils, and, although this is incorrect, there is no doubt that he was the real master of the
technique. The use of oil paints is very significant in this artworkʼs luminescent quality and presentation of space. The artist creates a new
relationship between the viewer and the picture. There is an illusion of a modern, threedimensional scene and through this new more naturalistic,
lifelike approach, the viewer becomes connected to the painting, not just in physical terms, but socially, spiritually and emotionally as well. " The

"
The church is richly decorated, in the Gothic style. Jan Van Eyck pays attention to
detail in his painting of architectural interiors, done with unrelenting accuracy. The church is an important symbol ofMaryКјs chastity. ItКјs an Ideal
church, Jan Van EyckКјs fantasy of a perfect interior to enthrone Mary. This is a way to represent the heavenly sphere in an environment that the
people of the time period can recognize.
"
Concluding from the small size of the painting, it was not a painting designed for a
huge Gothic church where most paintings were much bigger in proportion. It was probably made for a wealthy man at the time. In the Renaissance it
was common for wealthy people to collect artworks, it had a social significance. Above this, religious paintings and prayer books were
manifestations of commitment to prayer. The Flemish didnКјt limit their demonstration of piety to the public realm, the individuals commissioned
artworks for private use in their homes as well. " Ideology of the time also influenced the painting. The Madonna is holding the child
that is supposed to be Christ. Her face is turned away from the child,

The Spanish Renaissance Period : 16th Century Venetian...
16th century Venetian Triumvirate: Titian, Veronese, and Tintoretto were master painters and artists who treasured females and created a small number

Titian was an Italian artist of international reputation. Like his mentor, Giorgione, put time and talent in creating a mysterious and influential painting,

During the VenetianRenaissance period, studies of female nudes were not to be tarnished and dishonored. Many of the female nude portraits may have
created a supernatural female to add interest, once the background subject(s) were sketched.
These master artists painted from a 'live' nude posed, as well as free hand, facing towards the male subjects in the composition, but not actively in
conversation, or off to the side distanced in some form of entertainment. Drama was an essential element of Venetian artists universally and each of the
master artists honored Venetian art as an unidentifiable history and independent unity across the painted canvas.
A divine, provocative Venetian artist who is known as a "Prestezza style painter" is Tintoretto with his own style of painting rapidly with just a minor
set of brush strokes to create the outline of a human form, and known as an art of improvisation.
A genteel courtesan was considered to the 'ideal' embodiment of the Renaissance ideal, of sensuality and new form of consciousness. The women were
significant, achieving a social lifestyle and intellectual dominance and became notorious and well–known across Europe.
During this time, the sensualist female became the painter's studio, for example Titian's nudes were courtesans. "A false mole painted by the nose
indicated insatiability, and in the cleft meant adventurist."
Drama was an essential element of

Around the age of 14, da Vinci began a lengthy apprenticeship with an artist named Andrea Del Verrocchio inFlorence. Where he then learned a variety
of skills like metal working, leather arts, carpentry, drawing, painting and sculpting. His earliest known work is a pen and ink drawing of a
landscape in the Amo valley. He later started his own work shop. Using his inventive skills, da Vinci sketched war machines such a war chariot with
blades mounted on the sides, and armored tank propelled by two men cranking a shaft and even an enormous crossbow that required a small army of
men to operate. He believed studying science made him a better artist.
Leonardo thought the ability to see was mankind's most important sense and most important organ. Da Vinci began to seriously study anatomy and
dissect human and animal bodies. He's drawings of fetus in utero, the heart and vascular system, sex organs and other bone and muscular structures are
some of the first human records. In addition, to his investigation da Vinci studied botany, geology, zoology, hydraulics, aeronautics and physics.
He also sketched His observations on loose sheets of papers and pads that he tucked inside his belt. He placed the papers in his personal notebook and
arranged them with four themes, painting, architecture, mechanics and human anatomy. His filled dozens of notebooks with drawn

Albert Fitch Bellows 'Oil Painting Down To The Brook'
American 19th century painter Albert Fitch Bellows' oil painting titled Down to the Brook portrays a landscape that embodies tranquility and
placidness. The artist paints in a romanticized style, influenced by his studies of European art, while also being inspired by his contemporaries from
the Hudson River School, who focused on landscapes to display the divinity of nature. This painting was finished in 1862, and Bellows' painting
process occurred at the same time as the American Civil War raged. This serene and harmonic place contrasts what was transpiring in the United States
at this time, with intense battle and bloodshed. This painting shows a romantic, serene setting of a river and the nature surrounding it, including trees,

The light source originates from the right–upper corner of the painting and is reflected off the leaves and river, making the landscape glow. The river
cuts through the middle of the piece, and appears to be glowing directly under the tree from the reflection of the sky. The light source also creates
shadow, adding depth and space to the painting. The clouds appear to be light and feathery, adding on to the tranquility of the place. There is an
atmospheric, perspective element as the viewer looks toward the left of the painting; the houses and hills begin to fade and blur out into the distance.
The receding objects give the painting more depth and space. This open space made between the trees and the placement of the spire puts an
emphasis on the possible religious characteristic of the work. Towards the right of the painting, there is a church spire that is positioned in the back of
many other trees surrounding what appears to be a pathway. This open space between the trees and the placement of the spire puts an emphasis on a
possible religious characteristic of the work. This spire is a reminder of the religious undertones of the painting, and its ultimate significance in the
work. This ethereal, dreamlike effect created by the light in the painting represents

Analysis Of Oil Painting : Tiger In A Tropical Storm
Surprised!, also known as Tiger in a Tropical Storm, is an oil painting that was produced in 1891 by a post impressionist painter. The painter was
well known as Henri Rousseau, whom created all his pieces in Paris, France. Surprised! was the first of the jungle themed paintings, and this is
relevant to all of Rousseau's pieces because many of his paintings took place in the jungle ("Henri Rousseau Paintings, Biography, Quotes"). Surprised!
features objects and details that will carry through to his later works ("Henri Rousseau Paintings"). As mentioned before, Henri Rousseau painted many
jungle themed pieces. Rousseau worked to portray contemporaries between the home life and wildlife. Although Henri never travelled outside of
France, the jungle theme expressed in his paintings came from experience through common visits to the city's natural history museums and Paris zoos
(Henri Rousseau Paintings). Henri Rousseau painted with such detail, symbolism, and colors, as well as making an everlasting impression on the
post–impressionist movement, modern art, and artists of that period. Henri Rousseau employs many different colors, textures, and shades within the
painting called Surprised!. The focus of the painting is the tiger in the crouched position ready to pounce on the prey, which is not depicted in the
painting, but is interpreted that it is just off to the right of the canvas ("Henri Rousseau Paintings"). The tiger has been lurking in the grass while the

The background plot for the painting was borrowed from the Corneille's play, Horace. The approximate symmetry of the painting becomes more
prominent in the case when the viewer knows the story of the Corneille's play. It is essential to refer to the fact that there is a difference between the

fact that the art historians consider this portrait as a unique one because it is the form of a painting, which depicts the record of a

Abraham is the most striking figure in the piece, as he is adorned in a richly colored red and gold fabric. The red on his clothes is most likely
meant to symbolize the blood of sacrifice, and the gold to represent the nobility of sacrificing something precious in the name of God. Abraham
tilts his face to the heavens, seeming strong and obedient to God's commands, where a cherub figure reaches out to him with a sympathetic look.
In one hand, Abraham grasps the knife with which he will take his son's life. The dagger is out of Isaac's view, which is how sacrifices were
traditionally conducted; without the sacrificial creature seeing the weapon and therefore leaving them in the dark about their own swift demise.
Isaac looks anything but ignorant of the situation, however, he is naked, bent over as if quivering in fear, with a forlorn expression on his face.
Unlike his father, Isaac does not raise his eyes to the sky; instead he looks despondently at the ground. This suggests that Abraham is superior
because of his strong faith. Abraham also kneels on the sacrificial alter, with his son crouching below, giving him a fuller physical advantage over
his son. The angel is above Abraham, as it is a servant of heaven, and Abraham is depicted as higher than Isaac, as he is a faithful, trusting minion of
the higher force. There are robes on the ground and a tree in the background, along with another, less obvious figure and perhaps some animals. But all
are dull compared to Abraham's might and the winged servant of God that speaks to him ("Andrea Del Sarto–The Sacrifice of Isaac–C. 1527"). The
expressions on the faces of the figures are very telling, and the religious message of the piece is undeniable. The Sacrifice of Isaac follows a strict
religious theme, by depicting a traditional Old Testament story in true Renaissance

Carlos Almaraz Primitive People
I went to the National Museum of Mexican Art because I've previously been to the Art Institute before and wanted to go somewhere different. I
also did not know that this museum existed and was really curious to find out more about it. The artwork I have chosen is Primitive People by
Carlos Almaraz. Made on a canvas with oil paint in 1985. This artwork is placed on the wall in a frame with a bar in front of the painting meaning
you can't get too close or touch the artwork. The artworks surrounding the one I have chosen are displayed the same way there are some objects in the
center of the room displayed in glass cases where no one can touch. The color and confusing caught my eye by this piece. It made me want to know
more about what was going on in the painting the background of it.
This Artwork has a representational style because the artist is talking about The Vietnam war that happened and he lived through that. I believe it's
representational because the war that he's talking about in this artwork happened in real life. There was a lot of wars going on during his time alive
and he was able to see them. He wanted to show us how he saw the Vietnam war through his eyes in this painting. In this artwork, I see a bunch of the
color red and pink throughout the whole painting representing that there's a lot of blood distributed since he stated that in the wars that he saw there
was a ton of blood everywhere. There's also a bunch of texture in this painting when you look closely it looks like there are chunks of plaster on the
surface all over the artwork. Another visual element that I saw was very similar pattern on the trees as well as the people they're very similar in the
way that they're shaped.
The visual element that I believe is the most dominant one is the color. I believe the color red and pink are focused a ton all over. Mr. Almaraz
wanted to make a statement in this artwork by saying that blood was the main effect of war and that was the main element in war. Which is why he
made that the main color all over. The color red is on just the people and the color pink is towards the background and in the sky which I believe
represents the smoke that was happening during the war. The message that I think the

Frida Kahlo's Oil Painting
The featured work is an oil painting on canvas titled Self–Portrait with Thorn Necklace created by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in 1940. The work
features a representation of the artist herself wearing a white garment, necklace made from thorns, ribbons in her hair, and butterfly hair pins. The
artist's facial expression is blank and emotionless. The artist is also portrayed with a monkey behind her right shoulder and a black cat behind her left
shoulder as well as dragonfly–like insects whose bodies are budding flowers. The monkey in the painting is looking down at its hands which are
holding a thorn connected to the thorn knot around her throat. The cat is in a predatory position in which it appears to be about to pounce on its prey.

Attached to the center of the thorn necklace is a dead hummingbird which hangs down toward her breast. In the background, there is large plant
leaves showing a sliver of the sky at the top of the painting. Kahlo designs a strong, unified, and symmetrical composition using the elements of art
and principles of design. The painting is representational in subject matter, and the aesthetic style is clearly surreal. The composition style is a
traditional bust portrait, it is a closed composition confining the main subject of the painting within the frame. The artist creates balance within the
composition by using the light values of the sky at the top and bright white garment in the bottom portion of the scene. There is a contrast between
the neutral tones of the foreground to the cool color scheme of the background. The composition also reveals a symmetrical element. If the viewer
was to draw an imaginary line down the middle of the frame the two sides would be evenly balanced. The pattern created by the lines in the large
leaves create a rhythmic background that enhances the images in the foreground. The element of space is used to create a frame within a frame in the
painting.

Essay on Comparison between Jan van Eyck and Fra Angelico
The Renaissance in Western Europe brought a "rebirth" to the arts. No longer was the church the only accredited patron for the arts. Instead, a wealthy
middle class arose as patrons and were able to purchase artist's works. Although many pieces still had religious themes, the styles, freedom of
creativity, and less reserved pieces were created. The Renaissance was not only confined to Italy, although it is often mistaken as the birthplace of the
movement. All over Western Europe artwork flourished. Artists from the north came to Italy to study the classical arts and the renownedItalian
Renaissance artists. Many of the same themes and subject matters were depicted throughout Western Europe. One suchsubject matter, the

The Italians may not have had detailed frescos and vivid colors; however they were the leaders in creating a harmonious scale between the
landscape and the objects or figures that adorned it. They developed a focused on perspective and made their art a science. They used mathematical
measurements and thus the piece was given a great deal of depth and realism. The fresco appears to be an extended recessed space in the room. In
Angelico's piece, linear perspective is created by the placement and angles of the walls. The edge of the porch, the base of the first column and the
lines of the bench establish a linear perspective. Italian painters also focused on the studying of classical art and architecture. In Angelico's piece, the
arches supported by the stance of the ionic columns show the interest and study that the Italians adapted into their work. The Northern Renaissance
painters eventually incorporated perspective in their work. VanEyck used intuitive perspective, making objects appear smaller and closer together as
they are placed further in the distance to create the feeling of depth in his piece.
Iconography is more prevalent in the Northern Renaissance artwork compared to the Italian Renaissance artwork. Upon first glance, there are two
distinct and obvious similarities between the two works. The most noticeable is how Mary is wearing blue and is very similarly depicted. Just like
white, the color blue is thought to be the symbol of purity and

Birth Of Venus Painting
The painting, The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, created in 1484–1486, is tempera paint on canvas. Tempera is paint made with pigment that has
a water–soluble binder. It was popular to use Canvas because it costed less than wood. The painting was created and inspired by the poet Homer
because after Venus was born she rode on a shell. The painting shows a lot of detail in unexpected areas like the hair, sky, the shell, and more because
of the brushwork. I think that there could be more detail in the facial expressions. I think that the artist tried to make her look pure because her face is
calm. Giving birth is a beautiful thing but it is not calm. The Birth of Venusjust shows purity and innocence. The face does have good detail because ...

The shell is important because it shows that Venus is standing on something more precious than land or water. The painting is done well because it
does focus on her hair causing a wind effect to take place, and the detail in the body language is very similar to the painting. The shading is not
done well on the cake and I feel it is in uncomfortable parts that makes it look unrealistic. I also noticed that her head is a little small so it seems
like it was rushed. Although it does not look as realistic, the body is not bad. The background in the cake is a lot lighter than the background in the
painting. The cake would improve a lot of it had some shadows for objects in the background to make it more 3D and real looking. The cake gives
detail and life with the flowers and leaves which, although is different than the painting because of it being 3D, it gives the feeling of being more with
nature. It seems to be more of an underwater nature to me because with how the add–ons are placed, it looks like Venus is under water. People that do
not know the painting of The Birth of Venus might mistake the cake to be Disney's,The Little Mermaid. It is important to focus on every detail of
Venus if the designer is just painting her onto the cake to make it more realistic. The painting clearly shows that she is above water, going onto land.
Having trees or a different background would have made it more clear on the emotions going on besides what is happening to

The Museum Of Art Exhibitions
Last week I decided to visit one of the most well–known art exhibitions in Dallas. As I entered the Dallas Museum of Art I was immediately
captivated by the striking and vivid acrylic mural on the walls created by Nicolas Party entitled Pathway. Party said to have worked on–site at the
exhibit for three weeks to transform the Museum 's central pathway into a mesmerizing, lively colored forest; it was such a contrast to the rest of
the exhibit's entrance. Straight ahead was the Nancy and Tim Hanley Gallery filled with dull blank white walls matched with a few art pieces;
versus the pathway on the right filled with colorful life that was yanking me in the direction of a brand new world. To me it seemed as if the walls
were desperately waiting to be brought to life by other inspired artist like Party. The mural not only caught my attention but it made me thirst for more
fascinating art as such. As I continued down the intriguing path filled with distinctive shaped trees and bushes accompanied by splashes of different
shades of green, blue and purple I found a random, seemingly misplaced painting right in the middle of the pathway. The portrait instantly became one
of my favorites. There hung a large painting of two straight–faced men with serious expressions having thin yet boldly dark eyebrows, perfectly winged
eyeshadow and cherry red lipstick. This portrait was extremely protrude for the simple fact of how modernized it was. In today's era it's become more

Analysis Of Georgia O ' Keefe 's Painting Summer Days
When artists create a piece of work, they carefully analyze every aspect that they could possibly include and then carefully select which pieces
they want to include in the final product. The amount of time and effort it takes to compose a piece they are satisfied cannot be overstated and it
is the hope of these artists that their work is admired by others. When looking at art there can be some much going on that it seems overwhelming
and each piece of art is subject to the perspective and values of each of the viewers. This is why art critics created three basic theories that can be
used to effectively judge art. Each of these looks for specific aspects in a piece and uses that to determine the quality of work completed.
Depending on the piece of work that is to be evaluated, one theory may be more fitting than the others to apply to the specific piece. Georgia
O'Keefe's painting Summer Days portrays a beautiful desert scene that has a very strong personal meaning for the painting, making using an
expressive theory a successful method for analyzing how her own passions and views influenced the work. On the other hand, Jan van Eyck's
Madonna of Chancellor Rolin used groundbreaking oil techniques that defied the traditional works of his time, making a formal theory that focuses
attention on the overall composition an ideal means to judge his piece. Georgia O 'Keefe was an American artist who began creating pieces that were
very detailed, yet still abstract in some ways. In

Emily Carr: The Dark Oil Painting On The Woods
Upon reflection for these exhibits, they all left their own mark on me and I was certainly blown away with some of the art works. In the Emily Carr
exhibit there were multiple artists that had their own style and each was unique. My personal favorites in that gallery where;
Artist: Emily Carr. Painting: Shore and forest (Cordova bay) My depiction: The dark oil paint on the paper kinda give this calming landscape a very
rugged look to it. Almost unsettling. Lots of movement with the oil paint. Artist: Lawren S. Harris. Painting: From berg lake, evening, #4 in the
"sketches of mount Robson" series. My depiction: I appreciate this one for it's multitude of tones. Though it is a monotone painting it is beautiful done
in the day that the changes of color are melded together very well and that all the shedding is done marvelously. The mountain seemed so perfect and
untouched. Tones and clean lines with oil paint has always been a struggle of mine.

The painting "The Night CafГ©," done in 1888 by Vincent van Gough, is an oil painting on a 28ВЅ inch tall by 36Вј inch wide canvas. It depicts the
inside of CafГ© de la Gare in Place, Lamartine. There is a pool table in the middle, 4 green–top dining tables on the right wall, and 2 green–top and 1
red–top tables on the right. At the back table on the left a man and woman sit together, and at the table beside theirs; a man sitting alone and hunched
over. On the right side, two more hunched–over men are sharing the table closest to the viewer. All of the people in the painting are in dark blues,
browns, or reds except a man next to the pool table in a white suit. There are four lamps hanging from the ceiling that seem to focus the light more on
the pool table and the man in the white suit, and less on the customers and tables that line the edges of the room. This causes the floor around the pool
table to be a brighter brown than the rest of the room. The shadow caused by the pool table is dark, while the man standing beside the table is bright

The Magdalen With The Smoking Flame Summary
The Magdalen with the Smoking Flame is a work of art done by Georges De La Tour. It was completed in the year 1640 using oil paint on canvas
in France, and it is now located at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. This painting is of a woman, possibly pregnant, sitting leaning on a table
her head rested on one hand. She also has a skull on her lap and the other hand placed on it. In the back ground there is a small stack of books and
candlelight. More than anything on this painting, it is focused on the woman state of mind and heart rather than the skull or anything else. The simple
arrangement of how the artist used vertical and horizontal shapes draws the viewer really close into the Magdalen's thoughts. The skull and the
books purpose is to set the mood in what the woman might be feeling. The focal point of the entire painting seems to be the candle because not only
is it bright, but the woman is gazing profoundly into it. Everything in the painting is smoothed surface. The painter did not use texture in the paint
but only in very few areas like in the oil of the candle. The tones in this painting are warm. There are a lot of browns and ambers. A few cool colors
were used to define the shadows of the shapes with blue. The attention getter is the candle light. It's almost hard to ignore because it is so bright. The
second brightest thing in the painting is the woman's shirt, but even that is not as bright because of all the shadows and creases in it. Another reason why

A Rhetorical Analysis Essay On Art Museum
Late on Wednesday night, my phone ringed. It was a text message from my friend Pedro, "Do you want to visit an art museum tomorrow".
Knowing I needed to go, I texted him back quickly, "pick me up after your class tomorrow and we can adventure to The Weatherspoon Art
Museum at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro". After Pedro's class, we explored the museum observing multiple art works, and I was
invoked by three, art pieces. All three were different and intriguing in their own way. For instance, the painting that is on top of the cover page with
all the wavy hair was painted by Catherine Murphy and is known as the "Frosted". This painting was very delightful because of its unique elements.
Second, the sculpture in the middle of the cover page is an image of a wooded animal. This sculpture was crafted by Deborah Butterfield and is
recognized as Lunalilo. Also, at the bottom of the cover page is a sculpture constructed by Dan Graham, the sculpture was known as Triangle Solid with

One way specific, this painting expressed the rhythm with the wavy hair. All the parts of the hair have no pointy ends, it flows smoothly with the all
the other portions of the hair, making ocean wave shapes. I think the author was trying to emphasize the waviness of the hair. Also, she uses depth to
help express the painting. Its zoomed up on the backside of a person's head, only showing hair with only one body part showing. The body part can
be seen on top of the painting which appears to be the person's neck. Furthermore, she paints a natural light gold color for the hair, but the gender of
the person is unknown. Though the hair is long and wavy, it appears to be more masculine than feminine. She was probably emphasizing the equal
elements of a man and woman. Overall, the painting leaves the audience with a warm feeling that uses the rhythm of hair to express

Comparing The Oil Painting Atalanta And Meleager
The oil painting "Atalanta and Meleager" was painted by Peter Paul Rubens in 1616. The painting depicts a story from Metamorphoses from Ovid
and the painting is in the Baroque art style. "Atalanta and Meleager" depicts the story of Meleager gifting a boar's head to Atalanta. Meleager is
depicted as the man on the right looking at the virgin Atalanta, the woman with the boar's head on her lap. Meleager is the son of King Oneous of
Claydon and Althaea. Seven days after his birth, the Fates appeared and said he'd grow up to be noble, brave, and strong. The fates are three ancient
Greek deities that would determine people's life spans and how they would die. On that same day the fate's also said that once one of the sticks in the

In the story around the scene painted, Meleager killed a wild boar that was causing a lot of trouble and damage to the area. In the story, the boar is
said to have been sent down by Artemis, the goddess of wildlife. After defeating it he presented the boar's head and skin to Atalanta. Meleager did this
because he had fallen in love with her. In the background a Fury is shown. A Fury, fromGreek mythology, is a spirit of punishment. Furies are normally
depicted as one of the three goddesses that would torture those who are guilty, cursed, or they'd spread famine and pestilences. The fury shown in the
background looks more masculine so it may not be a goddess in this painting. The Fury was put in the painting to represent Meleager's impending
death. Although there are different versions of how Meleager died, the wild boar hunt is the main cause of the reason he died. Meleager killing the
boar is now known as the "Calydonian Boar Hunt." The version of Meleager's death that most likely happened in the painting's version is him getting
cursed by his mother. Meleager was in a battle between two sides that had members of his family in them. He ended up killing his uncle

Symbolism In St George And The Dragon
Known from legend, St. George is the knight who is told to have slain a dragon in Libya to save a young woman, generally known as holding the title
of princess, as expressed in Raphael's painting St. George and the Dragon. In this oil painting, the dragon is seemingly the embodiment of evil in the
town while St. George is the knight that risks his life to slay and rid of the evil within the town in a somewhat chivalrous manner. In St. George and the
Dragon, Raphael expresses Christianity combined with chivalry in his painting through the use of small details, symbolic representations, contrast,
human figures, and the depiction of these human figures and or characters. Raphael could have done this due to the rise of Christianity in the
Renaissance era and chivalry in art at the time.
The expression of Christianity can be represented through symbolism, color, and the details of Raphael's painting. The dragon can be seen as symbolic
of the Devil in Christianity and in turn St. George slaying the dragon can be represented as the destruction of the Devil and all evil within that setting.
The color of the dragon is dark and is viciously drawn which contrasts with the white and seemingly lightness of St. George's horse that brings out the
good and evil within the painting. This corresponds with Christianity as the Devil is normally depicted as dark and cruel compared to the white that
represents purity of those who are righteous. Continuing on with the darkness of the dragon, in

Tintoretto's Painting The Penitent Magdalene
Grace and Beauty
Between 1598–1602, Domenico (Robusti) Tintoretto painted Santa Maria Maddalena Penitente or, "The Penitent Magdalene" in his family's workshop
in Venice, Italy. The Penitent Magdalene, now housed in the Musei Capitolini of Rome, Italy, is an oil on canvas painting that measures approximately
forty–five inches (114.4 cm) in height by thirty–six inches (92 cm) in width. (Robusti, D.)
This work depicts Mary Magdalene, a biblical figure, in an earnest prayerful and contemplative repose. Though exact documentation is hard to come by,
this painting was, in all likelihood, commissioned by a wealthy patron who would value its artistic and devotional merit. In this work, Domenico

The foremost plane of the work is the primary focus and contains the most depth and detail, while the mid–ground cave and background night sky
planes are largely ambiguous and flattened. Magdalene is surrounded by a darkened space within the cave, the primary visible light source upon her
comes from the symbolic divine light above, while the moonlight casts a subtle, pale blue glow in the background. The juxtaposition between the
divine light on the upper left and the moonlight on the upper right creates a compositional balance. The overall composition of the work contains
balancing features and strategic placement of details towards this end, however, it is asymmetrical and unbalanced in that both the figure, the main
light source, and the recognizable objects are weighted towards the left side of the image. Surrounded by darkness and shadow, the divine light
conspicuously illuminates the prayerful Magdalene and the symbolic devotional objects before

Reflection About Museum
The museum that I went to for this project was the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. It was a new experience for me since I have never been to a
museum before. I went with my mom and my brother. I choose to go to this museum because my mom has visited before and she mentioned there
were a lot of paintings. I didn't expect to see sculptures or a beautiful garden area outside.
The first of the three works I chose was Susanna and The Elders, which was painted by artist Jan Massys in 1564. It is an oil on panel, approximately
3.5 ft x 6.5 ft, and is located in the 14th–16th centuries wing of the museum. I was first attracted to this painting because I thought that the lady,
Susanna, was beautiful and powerful since she is the focal point. Upon further inspection, however, I personally didn't like how the two elder men
were spying on Susana since it is violating her privacy. The next work I chose was Sappho Recalled to Life by the Charm of Music by Louis Ducis. It's
an oil on canvas that was made in 1811 and is approximately 4 ft x 5 ft. You can find the painting in the 17th–18th centuries wing of the museum. I
didn't really like it at first because it looked like the lady was in distress and I first thought that the scene dealt with death. The final piece I chose was
Vincent Van Gogh's The Mulberry Tree, which he created in 1889. This oil on canvas is approximately 1.5 ft x 2ft and is found in the Van Gogh
room. I liked it because it is fascinating how he made one single tree look unique and stylized.
Out of the three works, I decided to do a formal analysis on Susanna and the Elders. To start off, the subject matter is Susanna stripping to take take a
bath and her maids are leaving her to her privacy. However, there are two older men behind her who are secretly watching her.
Regarding lines, there are expressive lines used for the body figures, the trees, parts of the windows. Analytical lines are also used in the background,
specifically the decor of the building, and are used in the design of the stone and wood structure in the foreground. There are also implied lines which
are seen in the pointing of fingers by the two maids and Susanna, which implicate that the maids are leaving her. Furthermore,

The Seven Works Of Mercy By Michelangelo Merisi Da Caravaggio

Analysis Of Trapper's Bride
The nineteenth century was a period of rapid westward expansion for the United States due to the publicly held belief that Manifest Destiny would
bring greater independence and upward mobility for all its citizens. However, with the legions of pioneers venturing into the American frontier came
the upheaval between the frontiersmen and the Indians. Artists such as Alfred Jacob Miller (1810–1874) sought to capture the beauty of the untamed
wilderness and life in the American frontier. Moreover, Miller also sought to demonstrate that positive interactions between the Indians and European
Americans were possible despite tensions on both sides. Trapper's Bride, painted in the early 1840s by Alfred Jacob Miller is a small oil on canvas
painting that measures 19 x 16 inches; the painting is currently located in the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, Tennessee. When this
painting was first displayed, the viewer of the nineteenth century must have felt humbled and compassionate towards the suffering that the Indians
endured at the hands of the frontiersmen. Nonetheless, there probably was also a sense of hope for both peoples to live together in harmony and to
lay aside the violence after seeing Miller's painting. In this paper I will argue that Miller sought to illustrate that the reconciliation between the Indians
and Americans was possible as suggested by the colors and interactions between figures. Trapper's Bride is set in an Indian settlement in the American

Titan's Oil Painting, Venus Of Urbino
Venus of Urbino is a 1538 oil painting by a man named Titan. It is 3'11" x 5'5" and it was made during the Renaissance period. It is located in the
Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. The painting depicts a nude woman, who can be identified with the goddess Venus, laying down on a couch in a
Renaissance palace. Titan finished up a painting that was left unfinished by Giorgine of a nude Venus laying down, sleeping on a hill. In his painting,
he paints her laying on a couch, gazed, interacting fully with the audience while waiting on the servants behind her to bring her clothing. She

provides a contrasting backdrop for the curves of Venus in this painting. The painting was composed from subtle brush strokes, done with precise
details. Venus's warm, glowing tone was inviting while her gaze was innocent but curious. Even though the painting was centered on a nude Venus,
it was divided in half by the background. A black backdrop frames Venus's upper body, which exemplified her elongated torso. Her legs were

The Beginning Of Renaissance Art
The beginning of Renaissance art can be tracked all the way back to Italy in the late 13th and early 14th and 15th centuries. During this Renaissance
period, Italian scholars and artists saw themselves as bringing back the ideals and achievements of Roman culture. Their art tried to capture the
experience of the individual and the beauty and mystery of the natural world. The Italian Renaissance was considered a rebirth of old values in art such
as literature and philosophy. It was a period for the artist to develop that aimed for the revival of naturalism. Its influence moved through Europe and
brought back the cultural and scientific ideas that shaped artistic pieces for the next half a century. Stefano Da Verona was an Italian artist who... Show

Instead of having flat, stiff images, faces had not looked more realistic as bodies were painted in more realistic form as their poses looked more
human–like, and figures now expressed real emotion. While this was happening, Artists still tried to create work that were realistic but with fluidity and
not as much detail.. Although Giotto in this time period had strived towards adding a perspective, it wasn 't until the arrival of the architects
Brunelleschi and Leon Battista Alberti that it became big style to incorperate for many painters. Dossi's work of The Holy Family came in a time late
during the Renaissance. A time called the "High Renaissance". Despite the growing realism being achieved in their art, High Renaissance artists such
as Dossi aimed for beauty, and harmony more than realism, which was the focus in the past. Their paintings may have been based on nature but they
had no interest in replication. Instead they looked for the ultimate beauty within the picture. This provoked artists towards the idea of perfection. Greek
philosophy actually influenced this style in the high Renaissance. It "provided the secret of the perfect human type with its proportions, muscular
structure, oval face, triangular forehead, straight nose, and balance with the weight on one hip, which can be seen in the immensely expressive
sculpture of Michelangelo" (Botticelli). The difference in the paintings between the two time periods

Edward Hopper's Painting: Summertime 1943, Oil Painting
Edward Hopper
Title of Painting: Summertime 1943, oil paint
I see: The scene presents a young maid dressed in white comming outside a large white building. The background is dominated by white walls with
brick texture and two windows (one opened). The characteristics of this artwork is incredible contrast between black and white, the shadows are strong
and blacks (inside the building) are deep. The lines are straight and shading is strong and directional. The subject matters the most. The dominant
colours used are whites and blacks. Light saturation is very strong but is balanced with dark areas. The predominant mood is feeling of anticipation.
The girls looks far away, her chin raised and eyes looking, waiting.
I think: Edward Hopper's techniques were relatively simple. He painted directly, brusquely, focusing on covering what he wants to say through the
scene. In Hopper's style the subject which is conveyed matters rather than a way in which it was conveyed (which mainly matters in Matisse's style).
Personally I think that the way in which it was shown also matters in Hopper's style. In this artwork the contrast, strong shadings and straight
geometrical shapes create illusion of isolation and simplicity. Strong shading creates mystery and elegance but also suspension. The process Hopper
used was spending a lot of time in location he painted while observing the light and how it reflects. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

MГ©rode Altarpiece Essay
The MГ©rode Altarpiece by the Master of FlГ©malle is an oil painting on 3 wooden panels whose specific date of creation is likely between 1425
and 1430. This hinged triptych is relatively small in size measuring slightly over 2 feet tall and about 4 feet wide with its two winged panels open.
The MГ©rode Altarpiece belongs to a group of paintings associated with a Tournai workshop led by Robert Campin, also known as the Master of
FlГ©malle, whose workshop fostered some of the earliest and most outstanding painters who were pioneers of the new Flemish style. The MГ©rode
Altarpiece's central and largest panel depicts the Annunciation, when the angel Gabriel visited the Virgin Mary to announce her pregnancy with
Jesus. The right panel portrays Joseph in a workshop setting while the left panel shows an image of the donors kneeling in a closed garden. Artwork

Through this he is able bring out God's divine and frequent presence, presenting it not in a highly spiritual surrounding but instead in a setting of

for the devil, exists in the seemingly hidden symbols that are present in everyday life. This kind of thinking grew out of the influences of early Northern

&Quot;Madonna&Quot; And &Quot;Venus&Quot; From Two Different Periods Essay

  • 1. "Madonna" and "Venus" from Two Different Periods Essay "Madonna" and "Venus" From Two Different Periods I have always been intrigued by the many depictions of "Madonna" and "Venus" therefore I chose to compare and contrast Parmigianino's "Madonna of the Long Neck" from the mannerist style of the later Renaissance and Titian's "Venus of Urbino" from Venetian Renaissance. First I will tell you a little bit about the historical background of both paintings, then I will prove my thesis by talking about exemplifies two artist's style and the movement it represents, and considering the differences between two artwork in artistic styles, subject matter, and formal approaches. First, "Madonna of the Long Neck" was created at the Mannerist period in 1535 by Parmigianino sized 7' x 4'. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When looking at "Madonna with the Long Neck," the colors are subdued and dull but his use of color with the High Renaissance formula – the primary colors. In terms of mannerism, elongation was thought to create a more elegant and graceful look, which may be one of the main reasons why Mannerist art contained a lot of unnatural looking human figures. In the painting, I see a lot of elongation being used in different areas as well as oddly proportioned bodies. Madonna herself has a very extended neck, which holds up her smaller sized head making her look unusual and abnormal. Below her neck, I see her unnaturally slanted shoulders and her elongated fingers resting on her chest. Her legs also appear to be very long as they look much bigger than her narrow upper body. This makes for Madonna being a very colossal and dominant figure. Furthermore, when comparing Madonna to the women who stand beside her, Madonna is huge. In Madonna's lap is her baby Christ who also has unnaturally long features. The body of baby Christ is so long especially his legs. It looks like a much older boy. I think Pontormo wanted the audience to focus more on the bodies and the drama, rather than the specific details. In "Venus of Urbino," Titian formed a good composition that balances somewhat the delicate static character of the reclining Venus with a consistent dynamic component. The painting ... • 2. Jackson Pollock, Green Poles Pollock, Green Poles, canvas, 20th century
Seemingly chaotic paintings of Jackson Pollock have been considered easy to replicate, if not to forge. Green Poles, assumed as one of his last paintings in the mid 1950's, surfaced for sale and is under scrutiny for authentication. However, a thinner layer of deep green used underneath viscous splashes of black is unidentified both for its source and from the artists' other works. • 3. Scarey Emotions from the Oil Painting Joseph Sturge’ by... In this essay am going to talk about an oil painting called 'Joseph Sturge' by an artist 'Alexander Rippingille'. 'Joseph Sturge' is a businessperson, English Quaker, abolitionist, activist and leader of the 'Birmingham Anti– Slavery Sociality' created in '1826'. 'Joseph Sturge' worked in 'radical political' actions supporting the pacifism, working class right and finally universal emancipation of slaves. Year 1830 'Joseph Sturge' published books that contained information about apprenticeship system in Jamaica this helped persuade the British parliament to adopt an earlier full emancipation date. Finally, he would find villages free with 'Baptists' to provide the living area for free slaves. It was the positioning of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You can see that the bible is in thepainting on the right by his arm also on the statue this suggests that where ever he goes the bible comes with him because of his strong faith with god.
  • 4. Finally the bible is on the statue to show people that he carried it all the time with him. The contrast of the painting is very brightly coloured on the man. I think this is trying to suggest Joseph Sturge is more important because he is very bright this means people will look at Joseph Sturge first before the black person. In 1826 'Joseph Sturge' was the 'secretary' of the new 'Anti–Slavery in Birmingham' and he became influenced in a man called 'James Cropper'. The reason he was so strong because he has a strong 'Christian faith' this is want drove him to have good efforts. When he was working in the Anti Slavery Society his first ever task was to change the society to the attitude of abolitionists. Joseph Sturge shows that no mercy is to be done to stop preparation of slaves gradually having freedom. In those days people in the country was asked if they would 'promote' and ... • 5. Alpine Landscape: An Oil Painting By Julius Lange Alpine Landscape is an oil painting by German artist Julius Lange at 1866. It is considered that this painting might be based on sketches from 1856 or may date from a later trip to Switzerland. The painting basically shows a scene of mountains and a lake from a lakeside. Mountains and clouds in the sky are presented in the background. On the foot of the mountain is a lake surrounded by disorganized rocks and plants. Some rocks are stretching all the way to the center of the lake, where some people and their cattle are standing. The whole painting don't have any special focus because the artist didn't give any part more attention. The whole scene seems clear and calm in a sunny weather. The sunlight comes from the top part of the sky behind trees around the lake on the right side of the painting. Contrasting modeling of light and shadows are created on the peaks of ... All colors are natural without dramatic effect or contrast. The mountain in the distance has a blurry effect with a light purple tone color, which shows the atmospheric effect. • 6. The Renaissance And Its Influence On Classical Culture The renaissance began in Italy and spanned over 150 years, from the late 13th century to the early 17th century. It was a time of great invention and discovery. Renaissance means "rebirth" in French, as it was a rebirth of interest in classical culture. During this era the focus became more human centered, known as classical humanism. This was an occasion of great innovation, scientific discovery and creativity. During this period linear perspective began to be used in visual art to create an idea of space. It is said that Brunelleschi developed or began using linear perspective to give a realistic appearance in his work. During the renaissance the culture began to be more analytical and mathematical so realism and naturalism were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The 17th century through the early 18th century was the baroque period – a period of Roman–Catholic renewal. They commissioned artists to ornate the churches with beautiful works of art in hope of bring the people to inspire faith and religious commitment. Many things, including the Roman Catholic Church and politics, influenced the baroque art. The protestant reformation was beginning and the Catholic Church was trying to prevent the spread of this. The grandeur of this era was greatly influenced by the Spanish and French kingdoms that commissioned artists to do work in many of their chapels and cathedrals. The style was characterized by intense light, dramatic use of color, drastic contrast of light and shadow, known as chiaroscuro Many of the artists painted scenes of martyrdom and death and tried to draw the viewer in the scene. Often the artists would draw on biblical themes and stories. The artist's most popular mediums were fresco and oil paint on canvas. There are many similarities between these two periods; often artists during the baroque history were trying to recreate renaissance pieces of artwork. These two episodes are sequential as they share many things with variation. During both stages fresco painting were popular to adorn chapels and oil on canvas. Both emphasized emotion and feeling through their artwork, while the later focused more on the drama in the subject they were trying to show. • 7. Art Analysis: Oil On Paintings The medium of this particular piece looks to be oil on canvas. The composition is pretty simple with the main focus being an item of some sort being dangled and a portrait of one bird. There is a multitude of colors present in this piece. It is bright and soft with light and dark tones. The artist has applied the paint onto the canvas in many different angles and directions which makes the painting appear to have overlapping colors, coarseness and uneven texture. In the middle of the painting, there is a small horizontal space that was intentionally left blank. This separates the upper and lower portions of the painting. I have not noted any similarities in the upper and lower quadrants, but the artist was still able to bring about unity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Oil Painting, The Unknown: Robert Bean The Unknown As I walked to The Art museum to observe a few of the art work. There were many canvases, but one particular canvas that caught my attention was an oil painting. The oil painted canvas is of a realistic mysterious woman and a phonograph, by the artist named Robert Bean. The woman shown in this painting has short dark brown hair with a long black beautiful one shoulder dress; her skin color is very light that gives that beautiful glow. Her long black dress has a mixture of dark blue and white. She is standing with her arms semi–crossed with one hand holding a small white fan. The small fan has a design of brown flowers. She is standing sideways on the right of the canvas with a piece of light green fabric around her arms; the light green material has a tent of light blue and ... The masquerade ball was developed in Europe in the 14th and 15th century; masquerade balls were held for the high class in the century of the Renaissance. The elegancy in costumes and masks in the masquerade ball inspired the painting as the result of the woman with the mask and a beautiful one shoulder black dress. In my opinion, this work of art was truly amazing with the touch of darkness, mystery, and elegancy. The artist used the color mixture very well for that old antique look. The artist did very well in painting the background black and the woman black dress to distinguish the dress apart from the background. The phonograph is also distinguished from the background by painting white around the device. It gives that feeling of romance and darkness at the same time. The painting leaves the viewers of wanting more which the artist should had incorporated more things rather than just the woman and the phonograph. • 9. Jan Van Eyck Madonna in the Church Madonna in a Church is a small oil panel on oak by Flemish painter Jan van Eyck. Madonna in a church was made between c. 1438–1440. Van Eyck has been traditionally credited with the invention of painting in oils, and, although this is incorrect, there is no doubt that he was the real master of the technique. The use of oil paints is very signiп¬Ѓcant in this artworkКјs luminescent quality and presentation of space. The artist creates a new relationship between the viewer and the picture. There is an illusion of a modern, threedimensional scene and through this new more naturalistic, lifelike approach, the viewer becomes connected to the painting, not just in physical terms, but socially, spiritually and emotionally as well. Jan Van Eyck pays attention to detail in his painting of architectural interiors, done with unrelenting accuracy. The church is an important symbol ofMaryКјs chastity. ItКјs an Ideal church, Jan Van EyckКјs fantasy of a perfect interior to enthrone Mary. This is a way to represent the heavenly sphere in an environment that the people of the time period can recognize. " Concluding from the small size of the painting, it was not a painting designed for a huge Gothic church where most paintings were much bigger in proportion. It was probably made for a wealthy man at the time. In the Renaissance it was common for wealthy people to collect artworks, it had a social signiп¬Ѓcance. Above this, religious paintings and prayer books were manifestations of commitment to prayer. The Flemish didnКјt limit their demonstration of piety to the public realm, the individuals commissioned artworks for private use in their homes as well. " Ideology of the time also influenced the painting. The Madonna is holding the child that is supposed to be Christ. Her face is turned away from the child,

During the VenetianRenaissance period, studies of female nudes were not to be tarnished and dishonored. Many of the female nude portraits may have created a supernatural female to add interest, once the background subject(s) were sketched. These master artists painted from a 'live' nude posed, as well as free hand, facing towards the male subjects in the composition, but not actively in conversation, or off to the side distanced in some form of entertainment. Drama was an essential element of Venetian artists universally and each of the master artists honored Venetian art as an unidentifiable history and independent unity across the painted canvas. A divine, provocative Venetian artist who is known as a "Prestezza style painter" is Tintoretto with his own style of painting rapidly with just a minor set of brush strokes to create the outline of a human form, and known as an art of improvisation. A genteel courtesan was considered to the 'ideal' embodiment of the Renaissance ideal, of sensuality and new form of consciousness. The women were significant, achieving a social lifestyle and intellectual dominance and became notorious and well–known across Europe. Using his inventive skills, da Vinci sketched war machines such a war chariot with blades mounted on the sides, and armored tank propelled by two men cranking a shaft and even an enormous crossbow that required a small army of men to operate. He believed studying science made him a better artist. Leonardo thought the ability to see was mankind's most important sense and most important organ. Albert Fitch Bellows 'Oil Painting Down To The Brook' American 19th century painter Albert Fitch Bellows' oil painting titled Down to the Brook portrays a landscape that embodies tranquility and placidness. The artist paints in a romanticized style, influenced by his studies of European art, while also being inspired by his contemporaries from the Hudson River School, who focused on landscapes to display the divinity of nature. This painting was finished in 1862, and Bellows' painting process occurred at the same time as the American Civil War raged. Surprised! was the first of the jungle themed paintings, and this is relevant to all of Rousseau's pieces because many of his paintings took place in the jungle ("Henri Rousseau Paintings, Biography, Quotes"). Surprised! features objects and details that will carry through to his later works ("Henri Rousseau Paintings"). As mentioned before, Henri Rousseau painted many jungle themed pieces. Rousseau worked to portray contemporaries between the home life and wildlife. Although Henri never travelled outside of France, the jungle theme expressed in his paintings came from experience through common visits to the city's natural history museums and Paris zoos (Henri Rousseau Paintings). Henri Rousseau painted with such detail, symbolism, and colors, as well as making an everlasting impression on the post–impressionist movement, modern art, and artists of that period. Henri Rousseau employs many different colors, textures, and shades within the painting called Surprised!. The focus of the painting is the tiger in the crouched position ready to pounce on the prey, which is not depicted in the painting, but is interpreted that it is just off to the right of the canvas ("Henri Rousseau Paintings"). Compare And Contrast The Oath Of The Horatii Compare and Contrast Essay In the scope of this paper two works of art would be compared and contrasted – David's Oath of the Horatii and Painting of Giovanni Arnolfini and His Bride by Van Eyck. The first painting– Oath of the Horatii has been painted in Rome in the Neo–Classical style. This paining is referred as one of the best known works of art, which has been produced by this artist of style of eclectic. In the scientific literature, the painting is referred as the representation of the new school of art, which is mainly grounded on the fervent investigation of antique and a returning to classical techniques, used in the timeframe of the late 18th century. The background plot for the painting was borrowed from the Corneille's play, Horace. The approximate symmetry of the painting becomes more prominent in the case when the viewer knows the story of the Corneille's play. It is essential to refer to the fact that there is a difference between the right and left sides not only in terms of physical composition, but more than that, various emotional connotations are depicted by each ones. The "Giovanni Arnolfini and his Bride" (1434) by Jan van Eyck is also known as The Arnolfini Marriage, The Arnolfini Wedding among other titles. This painting is referred as one of the more complex and original paintings of the Western art due to the fact of the unusual geometric–orthogonal perspective (in contrast to the case of the Oath of the Horatii), iconography and the use of mirror for reflecting the space. It is essential to put an emphasis on the fact that the art historians consider this portrait as a unique one because it is the form of a painting, which depicts the record of a ... Abraham is the most striking figure in the piece, as he is adorned in a richly colored red and gold fabric. The red on his clothes is most likely meant to symbolize the blood of sacrifice, and the gold to represent the nobility of sacrificing something precious in the name of God. Abraham tilts his face to the heavens, seeming strong and obedient to God's commands, where a cherub figure reaches out to him with a sympathetic look. In one hand, Abraham grasps the knife with which he will take his son's life. The dagger is out of Isaac's view, which is how sacrifices were traditionally conducted; without the sacrificial creature seeing the weapon and therefore leaving them in the dark about their own swift demise. Isaac looks anything but ignorant of the situation, however, he is naked, bent over as if quivering in fear, with a forlorn expression on his face. Unlike his father, Isaac does not raise his eyes to the sky; instead he looks despondently at the ground. This suggests that Abraham is superior because of his strong faith. Abraham also kneels on the sacrificial alter, with his son crouching below, giving him a fuller physical advantage over his son. The angel is above Abraham, as it is a servant of heaven, and Abraham is depicted as higher than Isaac, as he is a faithful, trusting minion of the higher force. There are robes on the ground and a tree in the background, along with another, less obvious figure and perhaps some animals. But all are dull compared to Abraham's might and the winged servant of God that speaks to him ("Andrea Del Sarto–The Sacrifice of Isaac–C. 1527"). The expressions on the faces of the figures are very telling, and the religious message of the piece is undeniable. The Sacrifice of Isaac follows a strict

I also did not know that this museum existed and was really curious to find out more about it. The artwork I have chosen is Primitive People by Carlos Almaraz. Made on a canvas with oil paint in 1985. This artwork is placed on the wall in a frame with a bar in front of the painting meaning you can't get too close or touch the artwork. The artworks surrounding the one I have chosen are displayed the same way there are some objects in the center of the room displayed in glass cases where no one can touch. The color and confusing caught my eye by this piece. It made me want to know more about what was going on in the painting the background of it. This Artwork has a representational style because the artist is talking about The Vietnam war that happened and he lived through that. I believe it's representational because the war that he's talking about in this artwork happened in real life. There was a lot of wars going on during his time alive and he was able to see them. He wanted to show us how he saw the Vietnam war through his eyes in this painting. In this artwork, I see a bunch of the color red and pink throughout the whole painting representing that there's a lot of blood distributed since he stated that in the wars that he saw there was a ton of blood everywhere. There's also a bunch of texture in this painting when you look closely it looks like there are chunks of plaster on the surface all over the artwork. Another visual element that I saw was very similar pattern on the trees as well as the people they're very similar in the way that they're shaped. The visual element that I believe is the most dominant one is the color. I believe the color red and pink are focused a ton all over. Mr. Almaraz wanted to make a statement in this artwork by saying that blood was the main effect of war and that was the main element in war. Which is why he made that the main color all over. The color red is on just the people and the color pink is towards the background and in the sky which I believe represents the smoke that was happening during the war. The painting is representational in subject matter, and the aesthetic style is clearly surreal. The composition style is a traditional bust portrait, it is a closed composition confining the main subject of the painting within the frame. The artist creates balance within the composition by using the light values of the sky at the top and bright white garment in the bottom portion of the scene. There is a contrast between the neutral tones of the foreground to the cool color scheme of the background. The composition also reveals a symmetrical element. If the viewer was to draw an imaginary line down the middle of the frame the two sides would be evenly balanced. • 21. Essay on Comparison between Jan van Eyck and Fra Angelico The Renaissance in Western Europe brought a "rebirth" to the arts. No longer was the church the only accredited patron for the arts. Instead, a wealthy middle class arose as patrons and were able to purchase artist's works. Although many pieces still had religious themes, the styles, freedom of creativity, and less reserved pieces were created. The Renaissance was not only confined to Italy, although it is often mistaken as the birthplace of the movement. All over Western Europe artwork flourished. The fresco appears to be an extended recessed space in the room. In Angelico's piece, linear perspective is created by the placement and angles of the walls. The edge of the porch, the base of the first column and the lines of the bench establish a linear perspective. Italian painters also focused on the studying of classical art and architecture. In Angelico's piece, the arches supported by the stance of the ionic columns show the interest and study that the Italians adapted into their work. The Northern Renaissance painters eventually incorporated perspective in their work. VanEyck used intuitive perspective, making objects appear smaller and closer together as they are placed further in the distance to create the feeling of depth in his piece. Iconography is more prevalent in the Northern Renaissance artwork compared to the Italian Renaissance artwork. Tempera is paint made with pigment that has a water–soluble binder. It was popular to use Canvas because it costed less than wood. The painting was created and inspired by the poet Homer because after Venus was born she rode on a shell. The painting shows a lot of detail in unexpected areas like the hair, sky, the shell, and more because of the brushwork. I think that there could be more detail in the facial expressions. The shading is not done well on the cake and I feel it is in uncomfortable parts that makes it look unrealistic. I also noticed that her head is a little small so it seems like it was rushed. Although it does not look as realistic, the body is not bad. The background in the cake is a lot lighter than the background in the painting. The cake would improve a lot of it had some shadows for objects in the background to make it more 3D and real looking. The cake gives detail and life with the flowers and leaves which, although is different than the painting because of it being 3D, it gives the feeling of being more with nature. It seems to be more of an underwater nature to me because with how the add–ons are placed, it looks like Venus is under water. People that do not know the painting of The Birth of Venus might mistake the cake to be Disney's,The Little Mermaid. • 26. Analysis Of Georgia O ' Keefe 's Painting Summer Days When artists create a piece of work, they carefully analyze every aspect that they could possibly include and then carefully select which pieces they want to include in the final product. The amount of time and effort it takes to compose a piece they are satisfied cannot be overstated and it is the hope of these artists that their work is admired by others. When looking at art there can be some much going on that it seems overwhelming and each piece of art is subject to the perspective and values of each of the viewers. This is why art critics created three basic theories that can be used to effectively judge art. Each of these looks for specific aspects in a piece and uses that to determine the quality of work completed. Depending on the piece of work that is to be evaluated, one theory may be more fitting than the others to apply to the specific piece. Georgia O'Keefe's painting Summer Days portrays a beautiful desert scene that has a very strong personal meaning for the painting, making using an expressive theory a successful method for analyzing how her own passions and views influenced the work. On the other hand, Jan van Eyck's Madonna of Chancellor Rolin used groundbreaking oil techniques that defied the traditional works of his time, making a formal theory that focuses attention on the overall composition an ideal means to judge his piece. Georgia O 'Keefe was an American artist who began creating pieces that were very detailed, yet still abstract in some ways. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was completed in the year 1640 using oil paint on canvas in France, and it is now located at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. This painting is of a woman, possibly pregnant, sitting leaning on a table her head rested on one hand. She also has a skull on her lap and the other hand placed on it. In the back ground there is a small stack of books and candlelight. More than anything on this painting, it is focused on the woman state of mind and heart rather than the skull or anything else. The simple arrangement of how the artist used vertical and horizontal shapes draws the viewer really close into the Magdalen's thoughts. The skull and the books purpose is to set the mood in what the woman might be feeling. The focal point of the entire painting seems to be the candle because not only is it bright, but the woman is gazing profoundly into it. Everything in the painting is smoothed surface. The painter did not use texture in the paint but only in very few areas like in the oil of the candle. The tones in this painting are warm. There are a lot of browns and ambers. A few cool colors were used to define the shadows of the shapes with blue. The attention getter is the candle light. It's almost hard to ignore because it is so bright. The second brightest thing in the painting is the woman's shirt, but even that is not as bright because of all the shadows and creases in it. Another reason why ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. Symbolism In St George And The Dragon Known from legend, St. George is the knight who is told to have slain a dragon in Libya to save a young woman, generally known as holding the title of princess, as expressed in Raphael's painting St. George and the Dragon. In this oil painting, the dragon is seemingly the embodiment of evil in the town while St. George is the knight that risks his life to slay and rid of the evil within the town in a somewhat chivalrous manner. In St. George and the Dragon, Raphael expresses Christianity combined with chivalry in his painting through the use of small details, symbolic representations, contrast, human figures, and the depiction of these human figures and or characters. Raphael could have done this due to the rise of Christianity in the Renaissance era and chivalry in art at the time. The expression of Christianity can be represented through symbolism, color, and the details of Raphael's painting. The dragon can be seen as symbolic of the Devil in Christianity and in turn St. George slaying the dragon can be represented as the destruction of the Devil and all evil within that setting. The color of the dragon is dark and is viciously drawn which contrasts with the white and seemingly lightness of St. George's horse that brings out the good and evil within the painting. This corresponds with Christianity as the Devil is normally depicted as dark and cruel compared to the white that represents purity of those who are righteous. I went with my mom and my brother. I choose to go to this museum because my mom has visited before and she mentioned there were a lot of paintings. I didn't expect to see sculptures or a beautiful garden area outside. The first of the three works I chose was Susanna and The Elders, which was painted by artist Jan Massys in 1564. It is an oil on panel, approximately 3.5 ft x 6.5 ft, and is located in the 14th–16th centuries wing of the museum. I was first attracted to this painting because I thought that the lady, Susanna, was beautiful and powerful since she is the focal point. Upon further inspection, however, I personally didn't like how the two elder men were spying on Susana since it is violating her privacy. The next work I chose was Sappho Recalled to Life by the Charm of Music by Louis Ducis. It's an oil on canvas that was made in 1811 and is approximately 4 ft x 5 ft. You can find the painting in the 17th–18th centuries wing of the museum. I didn't really like it at first because it looked like the lady was in distress and I first thought that the scene dealt with death. The final piece I chose was Vincent Van Gogh's The Mulberry Tree, which he created in 1889. This oil on canvas is approximately 1.5 ft x 2ft and is found in the Van Gogh room. I liked it because it is fascinating how he made one single tree look unique and stylized. Out of the three works, I decided to do a formal analysis on Susanna and the Elders. To start off, the subject matter is Susanna stripping to take take a bath and her maids are leaving her to her privacy. However, there are two older men behind her who are secretly watching her. Regarding lines, there are expressive lines used for the body figures, the trees, parts of the windows. Analytical lines are also used in the background, specifically the decor of the building, and are used in the design of the stone and wood structure in the foreground. Analysis Of Trapper's Bride The nineteenth century was a period of rapid westward expansion for the United States due to the publicly held belief that Manifest Destiny would bring greater independence and upward mobility for all its citizens. However, with the legions of pioneers venturing into the American frontier came the upheaval between the frontiersmen and the Indians. Artists such as Alfred Jacob Miller (1810–1874) sought to capture the beauty of the untamed wilderness and life in the American frontier. Moreover, Miller also sought to demonstrate that positive interactions between the Indians and European Americans were possible despite tensions on both sides. Trapper's Bride, painted in the early 1840s by Alfred Jacob Miller is a small oil on canvas painting that measures 19 x 16 inches; the painting is currently located in the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, Tennessee. When this painting was first displayed, the viewer of the nineteenth century must have felt humbled and compassionate towards the suffering that the Indians endured at the hands of the frontiersmen. Nonetheless, there probably was also a sense of hope for both peoples to live together in harmony and to lay aside the violence after seeing Miller's painting. In this paper I will argue that Miller sought to illustrate that the reconciliation between the Indians and Americans was possible as suggested by the colors and interactions between figures. It is located in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. The painting depicts a nude woman, who can be identified with the goddess Venus, laying down on a couch in a Renaissance palace. Titan finished up a painting that was left unfinished by Giorgine of a nude Venus laying down, sleeping on a hill. In his painting, he paints her laying on a couch, gazed, interacting fully with the audience while waiting on the servants behind her to bring her clothing. They show a very special love that she represents in this painting: the more fruitful passion of licit love, not lust of the body, but the permanent bond of marital affection. There is also a dog at her feet, curled up and he symbolized the ideal fidelity. The background setting of the painting provides a contrasting backdrop for the curves of Venus in this painting. The painting was composed from subtle brush strokes, done with precise details. Venus's warm, glowing tone was inviting while her gaze was innocent but curious. Even though the painting was centered on a nude Venus, it was divided in half by the background. A black backdrop frames Venus's upper body, which exemplified her elongated torso. Her legs were relatively short in proportion, while her feet were tiny in size. The background was of a separate room behind the couch, where two servants were conjugated while a sleeping dog laid at her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. The Beginning Of Renaissance Art The beginning of Renaissance art can be tracked all the way back to Italy in the late 13th and early 14th and 15th centuries. During this Renaissance period, Italian scholars and artists saw themselves as bringing back the ideals and achievements of Roman culture. Their art tried to capture the experience of the individual and the beauty and mystery of the natural world. The Italian Renaissance was considered a rebirth of old values in art such as literature and philosophy. It was a period for the artist to develop that aimed for the revival of naturalism. Its influence moved through Europe and brought back the cultural and scientific ideas that shaped artistic pieces for the next half a century. Stefano Da Verona was an Italian artist who... Instead of having flat, stiff images, faces had not looked more realistic as bodies were painted in more realistic form as their poses looked more human–like, and figures now expressed real emotion. While this was happening, Artists still tried to create work that were realistic but with fluidity and not as much detail.. Although Giotto in this time period had strived towards adding a perspective, it wasn 't until the arrival of the architects Brunelleschi and Leon Battista Alberti that it became big style to incorperate for many painters. Dossi's work of The Holy Family came in a time late during the Renaissance. A time called the "High Renaissance". Despite the growing realism being achieved in their art, High Renaissance artists such as Dossi aimed for beauty, and harmony more than realism, which was the focus in the past. Their paintings may have been based on nature but they had no interest in replication. Instead they looked for the ultimate beauty within the picture. This provoked artists towards the idea of perfection. Greek philosophy actually influenced this style in the high Renaissance. It "provided the secret of the perfect human type with its proportions, muscular structure, oval face, triangular forehead, straight nose, and balance with the weight on one hip, which can be seen in the immensely expressive sculpture of Michelangelo" (Botticelli). • 39. Edward Hopper's Painting: Summertime 1943, Oil Painting Edward Hopper Title of Painting: Summertime 1943, oil paint I see: The scene presents a young maid dressed in white comming outside a large white building. The background is dominated by white walls with brick texture and two windows (one opened). The characteristics of this artwork is incredible contrast between black and white, the shadows are strong and blacks (inside the building) are deep. The lines are straight and shading is strong and directional. The subject matters the most. The dominant colours used are whites and blacks. Light saturation is very strong but is balanced with dark areas. The predominant mood is feeling of anticipation. The girls looks far away, her chin raised and eyes looking, waiting. I think: Edward Hopper's techniques were relatively simple. He painted directly, brusquely, focusing on covering what he wants to say through the scene. In Hopper's style the subject which is conveyed matters rather than a way in which it was conveyed (which mainly matters in Matisse's style). Personally I think that the way in which it was shown also matters in Hopper's style. In this artwork the contrast, strong shadings and straight geometrical shapes create illusion of isolation and simplicity. Strong shading creates mystery and elegance but also suspension. The process Hopper used was spending a lot of time in location he painted while observing the light and how it reflects. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 40. MГ©rode Altarpiece Essay The MГ©rode Altarpiece by the Master of FlГ©malle is an oil painting on 3 wooden panels whose specific date of creation is likely between 1425 and 1430. This hinged triptych is relatively small in size measuring slightly over 2 feet tall and about 4 feet wide with its two winged panels open. The MГ©rode Altarpiece belongs to a group of paintings associated with a Tournai workshop led by Robert Campin, also known as the Master of FlГ©malle, whose workshop fostered some of the earliest and most outstanding painters who were pioneers of the new Flemish style. The MГ©rode Altarpiece's central and largest panel depicts the Annunciation, when the angel Gabriel visited the Virgin Mary to announce her pregnancy with Jesus. The right panel portrays Joseph in a workshop setting while the left panel shows an image of the donors kneeling in a closed garden. Artwork of this type was made primarily to serve as a visual reminder of scenes from the Bible, specifically... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Through this he is able bring out God's divine and frequent presence, presenting it not in a highly spiritual surrounding but instead in a setting of bourgeois realism. The Master of FlГ©malle is known for his poetic representation of objects in daily life which is exemplified in the MГ©rode altarpiece, specifically in the central panel portraying the Annunciation. The Master of FlГ©malle used these types of scenes to represent how God's power and presence, symbolized in the painting by Mary's virginity and purity, God's ability to assume human form, Jesus's crucifixion, and God's trap for the devil, exists in the seemingly hidden symbols that are present in everyday life. This kind of thinking grew out of the influences of early Northern Renaissance ideals which stressed art and humanistic values and marked the transition from the prevailing international gothic ... • 41. The Oil Painting: The Waterhouse By Paul Bond In his oil painting, The Waterhouse, artist Paul Bond illuminates the beauty of nature by juxtaposing it against man's structured world. The observer's eyes are immediately drawn to the large fireplace in the center of the painting. It is prominently displayed in the center of the painting with a scene of an ocean replacing firewood. He uses linear perspective to create a draw the viewer's eyes toward the center of the painting. From the mantel, the tranquil ocean is overflowing into the dreary room. Bond collocated the light, serene water against a gloomy, monotonous room. The view of the ocean is painted with pastel colors and soft brush strokes. Whereas the rest of the room has bold lines and is painted with unappealing colors. The bland ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
