Introducing… … the New Way to Learn About Money! www.CreativeWealthIntl.org
Here’s a question for you… Where did YOU learn about money? At School? At Home? From a Mentor? Most Learn The Hard Way!
Our mission: Empower people to be RESONSIBLE for themselves and the world.
Why teach kids ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],about money?
“ I'm a college student who's being 'pursued' by credit card debt. I have no income, no assets and am living in my mothers basement --though I will be moving to the house of a friend in a month. As of now I only have my college loan money to pay my bills, and not nearly enough to take care of the credit card bills . . . my mother is being harassed by phone calls whenever I'm not home . I've been dealing with it well the past month since I attempted suicide in June (on my 21st birthday, of all days) after a breakdown over money , but I'm starting to get to that point again. I can't afford a lawyer, my parents are going through a divorce so they are unable to help, I have no other family members with income, and I'm taking care of my partner who's been unable to find work for 2 years. I had a job for a while, until I was being told to work a day though my classes or I would be fired-- like an idiot, I quit. I can't quit school without then adding my college loan payments into the equation. How the hell do I get through this without another suicide attempt?” A disturbing post on a website in August 2007 from a college student in debt: Because most of them aren’t learning it elsewhere! Why do we need to teach our kids about money?
Many people feel like this when they think about money: Stressed • Overwhelmed • Hopeless
We want your kids and teens to leave our events and programs feeling like this: With the right financial education, a a few smart money habits, money, anything is possible.
Some people think this is what kids will look like when they’re done with our programs… “ I want this, and this, and this, and that, and that, and two of those! NOT! NOT! NOT!
checks.credit cards.businesses.compound interest.managing risk.mutual funds.return on investment.supply and demand.loans. mortgages.real estate.passive income.taxes.inflation.paychecks. debt.financial advisors.diversification.debit cards.small-cap stocks.large-cap stocks.leverage.budgets.assets.liabilities and so much more stuff we couldn’t list it on on this one page! But what we REALLY teach your kids in our programs is. . . They also have a lot of fun doing it, too! Yes, your kids will learn about . . .
Financial Freedom is your CHOICE. Financial Freedom is a choice, not a dream. Anyone can be financially free. You choose how your life is going to look and you’re responsible for making it happen. No one is going to do it for you. You are the C.E.O. of your own life, financial freedom is not only your choice, it is your responsibility .
It's all about HABITS. There are two kinds of habits -- habits that you do and habits that you don’t do . You are either in the habit of brushing your teeth every morning or you are in the habit of NOT brushing your teeth every morning. You are either in the habit of saving and investing or you are in the habit of NOT saving and investing. You choose.
Pay Yourself FIRST. This is the one of the most powerful habits all wealthy people do on a regular basis. Most people pay everyone else first --their landlords, their credit card companies, their car payments, then “ if they have any money left over ,” they’ll save it. (Usually they don’t have any money left over.) Millionaires ALWAYS pay themselves FIRST.
Money buys you stuff, not HAPPINESS. Money and stuff are not the keys to happiness. Being happy is the key to happiness . Money is simply a tool to reach your dreams. Every dream we have, every aspiration, every goal takes money to achieve. Money is not the end result, it is the tool we use to reach our dreams and goals. AND do a lot of good in the world!
Your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes about money determine your wealth potential. Our thoughts are powerful things and how we think and feel about money plays a major role in our ability to make it and keep it. Even if our conscious mind says we want to be rich, if our subconscious is telling us money is evil, and we don’t want to be evil, unconsciously we often do everything in our power to keep money out of our hands.
Money only makes you more of what you already are. If you are greedy and poor, money will give you the opportunity to be more greedy. If you are generous and poor, money will only give you the opportunity to be more generous. Money does not define you as a person, it only accentuates who you already are as a person.
The more money you have, the more GOOD you can do. Wealthy people have given away more money and aid to those in need than any government ever has. Everyone likes to help people, whether you’re 8 or 80. When you have more than enough money than you need to live your chosen lifestyle, you can choose to give it away to those in need.
At Creative Wealth, it's about the PRINCIPLES as well as the MECHANICS. (In other word…the WHY as much as the HOW.)
And we do all of this with our unique and effective financial education game that we affectionately call… So in The Money Game they GET paid, PAY taxes, KEEP TRACK of their money, SAVE money, INVEST in assets, RECEIVE passive income and oh, did we mention that EVENTS HAPPEN in this game! You see, we knew that for kids and teens to GET the money thing, they have to EXPERIENCE how it works first.
[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],Basically, if you need to learn about money, or you're looking for a way to teach your family about money, we have a program for it…
Our goal is to have Creative Wealth programs all over THE WORLD and change the way people learn about, and use, money.
We'd love to have YOU along for the ride.

Editor's Notes

  1. There are notes throughout the slides regarding suggestions on how to present them and what you can present with them. Here you can do your enrolling questions, introductions, your ETR (earn the right), and why you are here.
  2. Briefly go over the mission. Be sure to highlight the word EMPOWER because the mission is about putting power into the hands of the individual to take control of their lives.
  3. Spend some time going over all the good reasons why kids need to start learning now rather than later by trial and error. If you have any other statistics, especially ones that pertain to the group of people you’re speaking to, please feel free to change or add to the list.
  4. Let the audience members read this post to themselves--it will be more effective this way. Give them a second or two to let it sink in. It will really drive home the answer to the question presented on the previous slide about why we should teach our kids about money.
  5. So many people associate money with stress--all the bills they have to pay, how expensive the cost of living is, how hard it is to “keep up,” and so they feel like they’re caught in an endless cycle they can’t get out of and money becomes something they resent.
  6. Feeling like they can use money as a tool to unlock the unlimited potential available to them. We want them to feel like anything is possible now.
  7. This is a commentary on those who think kids are "too young" to start learning about money and they will come out of camp only thinking about making a lot of money and buying lots of stuff. You know your audience, if this needs to be addressed further, you can address it. This notion will also be dispelled as the presentation continues.
  8. This slide’s intention is to show your audience that we do go over a lot of things in camp you would expect us to go over, and we do it in a fun way (if you want to mention accelerated teaching techniques here, you can), but that’s just a shell of what we teach.
  9. The very first thing we want the kids to understand is that financial freedom is their choice--they are not the victims of their circumstance, they navigate where their life is going to go and how they want it to look. But they have to be aware there is a choice and then consciously make the choice before they can truly take action to make it happen. ACTIVITY: This would be a perfect place to do the Money Quiz.
  10. You can bring up the saying “Human beings are creatures of . . . (habit)“ and how CHOOSING to do the right habits, or the habits that serve you, will bring you closer to financial freedom. Once you choose financial freedom, you need to KEEP CHOOSING it by taking the right steps to get to it. One of the steps is developing the right habits.
  11. This is one of the first habits you need to start to begin the road to financial freedom. Don’t think you can pay yourself first? Well, can you pay yourself a dollar? Fifty cents? It’s not about the amount you can pay yourself first, it is the act of paying yourself first that counts because once it becomes a habit, it will become easier and easier to do.
  12. It’s almost a cliché--money doesn’t buy you happiness--but it is one of the most important things we want the kids to understand. Having a bunch of stuff doesn’t mean you’re going to be happy, it just means you have a bunch of stuff. Money is a means for you to reach your goals, that’s all. ACTIVITY: This would be the perfect time to do the BE DO HAVE exercise.
  13. ACTIVITIES: This would be a perfect time to do the Rich/Poor exercise and the beliefs --> thoughts --> feelings --> actions --> results.
  14. If you do the Rich/Poor activity, this slide is a good way to conclude that activity. No other notes.
  15. This is absolutely one of the major things we want the kids to walk out with when they’re done with camp--look at all the good you can do if you have the money to do it.
  16. No notes.
  17. This is our long term goal.
  18. No notes.
