1. Main Character Analysis Similarities and Differences Comparison of a character from our product and a character from a well known movie.
2. Split-Screen of Characters Similarities and Differences of Representation: The similarities between the two characters are that our character Richard and SOTD character Ed are both slackers in the sense that they do all day every day. During a lot of there scenes, they are both seen on the sofa just lounging around doing nothing. They are represented as slackers and have no interest in work and all they care about a lot of the time is food and gaming. They both have the same surroundings as they are both in they lounge on the sofa eating and playing games and they both are messy. The differences between the two are the way the two dress and the appearance of each other as Ed looks more like a slacker than our character does. Also our character is represented as being by himself a lot where as Ed has people coming and playing the games with him a lot.
3. Split-Screen of Characters Similarities and Differences of Appearance: The similarities between the two characters are that they both look unclean and messy as they have stains on there shirts and there are a lot of food around or in Ed’s case he’s eating food. They also are similar in the sense that they both look quite spaced out and look tired a lot of the time because they are playing games all the time. The differences between the two is that one of the characters appears to be a fair bit younger than Ed. Also our character looks a lot more clean in the sense that of his face as he has no beard where as Ed has facial hair but it looks untidy and unclean.
4. Split-Screen of Characters Similarities and Differences of Costume and Role: The similarities about the costume of the two characters is that they both wear just casual clothes and are both quite messy. Another similarity is that there costumes are both accompanied by food or drink. The difference between the two characters is that our character has a much more comical costume as he is wearing the bright colored lounge pants to add the comical element. The similarities for the role is that they both portray the role of the slacker friend of the hard working friend and that they are just slacking all the time in the film.
