This pitch document proposes a 2D cell animation series about a character who struggles to fit in because he looks different from others. Over the course of the series, he meets another outcast animal and they become friends, later meeting a third friend. The character design aims to portray the character as friendly yet shy. The series would have 6 episodes of 5-7 minutes each, telling the story of an outcast finding acceptance through friendship. It is targeted at ages 3 to 8 and would air on CBBC.

3. Over the duration of the series, you start off by getting
to know the character, and what he does with his time.
You see him struggling to fit in with the people around
him, struggling to play the games that they play.
Story
You see him dismissed by the
others, told he doesn't fit in
because he looks different. You
see how lonely he is in his life,
how he doesn't have any
company other than his own…

4. Story
Another animal who is also very different, who doesn't fit in turns up,
she goes over to him and asks if she can join in with the game he is
playing by himself. Out of anger, he says no and dismisses her because
she is different, because she isn't the same as him. As she walks away he
realizes his mistakes and catches up with her.
The pair them become great friends
and you see them together taking
part in all of the activities that he
used to do on his own. They then
meet Oliver who is also different
from the both of them, they become
great friends with him.

Design
I have chosen to make him look the way his does because it
portrays his personality. The yellow on his skin shows the
friendliness that he withholds.
The blush marks on
his cheeks show that
he is shy and
innocent. The green t-
shirt paired with a
pair of dungarees
help to show his age.

The expected running time will be
about 5-7 minutes per episode with
6 episodes in the series, telling the
story of a young animal who doesn't
fit in with the people around him.
I have chosen to create a cell
animation because I think that
this will work well with the
audience that I am aiming it at.
The age range will be from
around 3 to 8. It will be aired on
CBBC.
