2. Below i am going to compare our protagonist (Will) with another
protagonist from another film. For both characters i will be talking about
similarities and differences, also how the characters are presented in
terms of costume, props etc.
Will playing the protagonist in ‘The
Hidden Truth’.
Adrian in ‘The Hidden Face’ (La
cara oculta) in Spanish.

3. 



Adrian from ‘The Hidden Face’ plays a protagonist
that has just been left by his girlfriend, Adrian
becomes distraught and while drinking away his
sorrows he meets another girl and they end up having
a relationship together.
In our production of ‘The Hidden Truth’ Will has also
lost his wife and is extremely upset about it. Both of
the characters wear similar sorts of costumes of a suit.
Another similarity is that both the protagonists find
their partners missing via video. Adrian goes home to
find his girlfriend has left him a video message and Will
comes home to find a DVD with a message from his
wife.
Both of the characters are presented as protagonists
that are helpless and suffering, also both protagonists
have good jobs and this is shown by the costumes of
the characters.

The difference between the two characters is that
Adrian’s girlfriend has left him by choice to teach him
a lesson whereas Will’s wife has been kidnapped so
that he learns a lesson.
Also after Adrian’s girlfriend has left he does not try to
look for, instead he finds another partner whereas Will
knows that his wife has been kidnapped because of
him and tries his best to find her.
From the start of our production the audience can
tell that there is something wrong and want to find
out more for example who the person behind the
mask is what he wants etc, however for ‘The Hidden
Face no clues are given that something is wrong,
everything seems normal as Adrian is watching his
wife’s last message.
Also Adrian is really upset and sad about his when he
finds out that his girlfriend has left whereas Will is more
angry and annoyed.

To conclude, overall both the characters
have similarities and differences as to
what role they play in the film and how
they are presented etc.
