Presentation:
Concept:
Character development ( Beginning of the mv will show a middle-aged women looking back at an album which has memories of her childhood /
teenage life. Some scenes will show her with friends, studying either failing or passing, her with a boyfriend who she may not be with anymore
which will be towards the middle of the music video and when the camera spans out of the album it will be instead of a middle-aged women it will
be an older lady who is in her 40-50s looking back at the memories and reminiscing her young life, it can end with her putting the album back)
Story line: is about how everyone has different events in their life to become the person that they are now, and she is reliving her life through the
phots and memories: beginning to end
-liberalism (show values of freedom, reason to life)
Location: city, urban, indie, I want it to give off a 2000s vibe/ old school
Camera shot; long shots, close ups, extreme long shots to show off the teenage experiences
- some high angles to make the characters look small and younger, teenage like and then some middle angles to make the audience feel like they
are apart. I will also be having some of the characters film themselves, so it makes it seems like the audience is a part of the music video/ friend
group, to make the music video more fun and enjoyable to watch
Target audience: teenagers/ early adults ( I am aiming at this certain audience because it lets teenagers and young/early adults know that the
mistakes and the things they go through helps develop them to be the person they will be in the future)
Lighting: high-key light
Moodboard:
In my mood board which will be seen in next slide, the types of movies that I wanted to link to my music video to was some
old school teenage movies/series like ‘she the man’, ’10thingsihateaboutyou’ and ‘The summer I turned pretty’ they are all
somewhat romcoms, but they all have clips and scenes in the movies where it has wholesome teenage hangouts. For
example, in ‘the summer I turned pretty’ it has scenes of a campfire an arcade scene and one where they separate to go to
different colleges which can represent the idea of everyone growing up and becoming their own person. It tells us to cherish
the moments we have now cause when we look back, we might regret not doing some things.
