2. Initially we conducted a questionnaire to establish who are target audience
were; their age, ethnicity and gender. We also wanted to find out how often
people watch music videos, how they watch them and what type of music
they like. This helped us to understand exactly who are target audience are
and what types of things they like.
After conducting questionnaires, I conducted an interview with a member of
our target audience. This gave me the opportunity to gain a more in depth
understanding of the target audiences likes and dislikes. It also allowed me ask
some questions on what they think is interesting in a music video and what
things they like to see.
It was really important to conduct this research into the target audience
because it let us know what we should include in our own product in order to
appeal to our target audience.
Receiving feedback from the audience was also important as it allowed us to
make changes to the products before releasing a final version. This helped
because we ourselves got to see how small changes could make a big
difference to the overall product.
