In my talk to Rotary-Club Fürstenland (St. Gallen, Switzerland) on October 7th 2015, I told in a first step my personal story about how I experienced education in a broad sense. In the 2nd part, I gave some insights how the cognitive computing era will influence the future of education with two concrete examples (Chef Watson and Personalized Education). As lasting memory, the restaurant owner served a cocktail and a risotto created by IBM's Chef Watson.

19. Historical changes are like an avalanche.
The starting point is a snowed mountain side
which looks very solid.
But all changes are taking place under the
surface and most of them are invisible.
But something is coming.
What and when – is impossible to say.
The education system still looks rock solid,
but something is happening under the
surface.
