2. Individuals who complete this three-day workshop will:
• Become accredited EXCELL trainers
• Gain the skills to facilitate EXCELL with diverse audiences
• Gain a deeper understanding of culture and behaviour
Is this course for you?
The EXCELL Intercultural Skills Program has been used with international
and migrant students, local students, and migrant jobseekers in New Zealand,
Canada, the UK and Australia. It has been applied:
• as a follow-up to orientation programs,
• to complement English language services,
• to prepare students and migrants in transition (international exchange,
preparation for work-integrated learning/internships/work placements)
If you work with international or migrant students or employees, what you
learn will be able to be applied immediately.
Experienced trainers/facilitators will be able to easily customize what they
learn for other audiences.
Academic and teaching staff can integrate EXCELL methods into their
teaching repertoire to make the classroom more culturally inclusive.
